In regards to the guard situation- we have a top notch pass blocking line but very limited with run blocking up the middle. The guards who do both well are paid much better than our guys and it is where we are robbing peter to pay Paul. As long as they keep Josh clean we can can hit a few quick hitters as an extension of the run game and keep chugging.

On the designed QB run to the left side, Saffold completely whiffed on Hayward and Allen got blasted.  Can’t happen.

Was at the game and some of the non obvious guys who played amazing were Dodson (all over the field) and Shakir (did great as a returner and what a playmaker making contested catches and after the catch).

Phillips is amazing as a hype man! He really knows how to get the fans involved

Glad Singletary got the majority of the carries well deserved, he’s just a better RB than the Moss and cook.

I may be missing what T Jones brings to the special teams unit. He botched a kick return and I didn’t notice him do anything else but I also don’t know what I’m supposed to be seeing from him so that’s on me lol

Haven’t been to a bills game in orchard park before but is it always that windy? If Josh is throwing bombs into the wind with that type of ease and accuracy no one has a chance this year.

Pickett and Pickens are the real deal. The score doesn’t show it but man Pickett can play in this league and will for a long time. Count me as a believer

overall that was an unforgettable experience from overpaying for La Nova wings and pizza to the amazing and supportive fans we met and most of all our out of this world Buffalo Bills team we get to watch each week. This is a truly special time to be a bills fan and I’m thankful for the experience.

Moss needs to be inactive,. Im straight tired of him. Hodgins seems to win routes early decent enough, but his hands are fantastic. Even if Hodgins brings 0 to special teams, Moss also brings 0. We dont run enough to be dressing 4.5 RB's (counting gilliam as .5). If its truly an emergency let Gilliam or T Jones be the third RB. otherwise let Motor carry the load with Cook being the spell back. Im sorry but Moss despite being thicker does not bring the short yardage hammer enough. Moss pass blocking is also = or very slightly better than Motor, but not better enough to warrant his less than 2 yards a carry. Free up a roster spot and cut ties.

And I saw in past the plan was to let Singletary walk, Moss take load next year. No. Motor can be brought back on cheap... what team is going to over pay to steal Singletary away from Bills?

Absolutely agree about Moss he’s a power back that never runs with power. Somehow this guy was the Pac 12 player of the year over Justin Herbert. Must be his pass blocking they prevents more carries for Cook

I do wonder what effect the wind had on the passing game.  The end zone throw to Diggs looked like the ball sailed on him.  The end zone INT looked like he just didn’t get the ball high end for Davis to have a chance.

Big time.  It was windy.  I think the miss to Diggs was influenced by the wind.  The Davis INT looked like miscommunication - not a great throw, but live in the stadium it looked like Allen was thinking back shoulder and Davis was thinking something else.

Dawkins played fantastic today. Saffold again struggled.

It appears that our running backs are constantly breaking tackles just to get back to the line of scrimmage, and usually due to guard play. Not seeing any holes to run through like you see with many other teams.

Agree particularly on the guards. They are the weakest links.

They have struggled all year opening holes - Saffold has yet to live up to his billing as a road grader although I thought he had a bit of a better game today. I am not sure if he is playing through some injury. Bates simply has struggled since they moved him to the right. We don't really let any RB get into much of a flow with our pass-first offense, but it is hard to take the ball out of Allen's hands.

I think Kromer will get the line tuned up as the season progresses. Nice to see Brown looking like he is playing himself back into form.

Luckily we pass most of the time and it has not affected things too much. Thought the shovel pass to Morris on the 1 between the tackles was ill-conceived seeing how many defenders Pittsburg was trying to cram into the "A" gaps. Not sure what Dorsey thought he saw.

Proud of our team, but do think that we have to clean up the turnovers - especially on the doorstep of scoring. We have had a few of those in the first few games this season. As long as our boys are not dropping like flies in the heat, no team has been able to keep up with our team once the race is on. If we get into a scoring race with a better team, turnovers like that are going to bite us.

So yes we have a very good team, but like McD preaches there are things this team can clean up.

Yes. Ever since like 1991 and my first game - there is always wind. More so after September. By Nov & Dec it's incredible.

I think if Edmunds is gone next season more likely the starting LB's will be Milano and Bernard.

if Edmunds is gone the Bills will not primarily be in a nickle 4-2-3-2 formation.

Edmunds covers more area than most LBs.  Johnson will have a different role.

Agree with everything the OP stated, although I do still feel there is a 50/50 shot they extend Edmunds.

To expound a bit..

Morris is a legit TE2, and I have zero concerns about the future of our Tight End position with he and Knox.   That catch in the middle of the field was absurd for a Tight End.

Damar Hamlin is athletic and plays with bad intentions.  I love his game. Obviously he’s not Hyde, but Hamlin looks to be locking himself into one half of the next Safety tandem in Buffalo.

Morris had a handful of highlight catches in training camp just like his grab today.  I was praying they wld let Howard walk and keep #85 and it looks like they made the right call.

Not sure how he grades out as a blocker but separation and hands he is very solid.

1) I’m wondering if there has yet been a Boettger spotting?

Not an all-Pro, but was typically at least average at Guard.

Feels like we need some internal competition at that position.

2) Speaking of internal competition, imo it will be hard to play McKenzie over Shakir.

Shakir is slick and slippery.  Great Beane pick.

I’m ready to see some Duke Johnson

Or maybe they draft Edmunds 2.0 and drop the rookie in there, again one with large wing span to cover a lot of ground.
