All they really needed to see if he was a reliable holder or not. His talent is too extreme not to allow him to work on that other stuff! The Lambs in '13-'15 had some Baaaa aaaaa aaaaad offenses for different reasons. Austin did kind of a Watkins/Zay Jones flameout when he had opportunities his first couple years (a lot of dropped passes). They had a couple of years of horrible offense in which everyone looked bad. Then Austin started to get injured a lot. John Brown had a more productive career, but at his start in AZ he had a real NFL QB (Carson Palmer) in a real NFL offense led by Bruce Arians and a real NFL #1 (Larry Fitzgerald) playing ahead of him and teaching him the ropes. Hopefully he’s picked up and the organization looks good for helping out both kickers. The front office realizes Araiza could literally cost us a game or two this year, but it’s worth the risk for the potential rewards over the next decade. We have different definitions of "Perfect" 2.
