Prospector
Hey all, I am taking my son to his first NFL/Bills game, and my first time seeing them in the Josh Allen era. Being west coast, I have seen the Bills a couple times in San Diego, and once in Buffalo when we drafted CJ Spiller, and we lost to the Dolphins in the most boring game ever played. We are coming for the Bills/Browns game (My in-laws are from Cleveland). Anyways, My son is 11 and we will be there with my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and his son (and son's friend) who play college baseball. We would like to enjoy some fun tailgating experiences for the day of the game, as opposed to wandering around Buffalo. We are more than happy to bring a cooler of steaks, or chicken, or brown 90 proof so we aren't free loading. I was wondering how we go about getting to a fun tailgate area, and maybe seeing some classic Bills stuff, like Pinto Ron, Bowling Ball shots, File Cabinet Pizza, or the Bills house thingy. We have rented a big van for a couple days... not sure if that matters. Please PM me if that is the more professional way, I don't know. Bob Chandler's Hands
Just get there early (like 10AM or earlier), bring some sandwiches or other tailgate foods, and plenty of time to walk around outside the stadium. You'll see the "interesting" tail gate situations in the various lots. Head over and chat up people, you'll find it's a friendly atmosphere. I prefer to park in the satellite (formerly 'pirate') lots on private property as I can generally beat the crowd out and make a clean getaway. If you don't care about that, park in the stadium lots to be closer to the action from the get go. Also, they used to have the Field House open to the public before hand with some fun activities your 11 year old might really enjoy. You'd need to check the Bills website to see if that is still going on, or perhaps someone here can update you on that. It was pre-2020 last time I was in there and things have changed... Prospector
We would love to join a tailgate, and we can bring meat, or apps, or drinks, or a combination... we aren't vegans, so something like that is probably a no-go

Moon Doggies is always packed, and it's in a kinda shady part of town... we used to go to the Town Center Lounge in the Northwest, but they stopped getting the NFL package last year... so I usually do 4 Kegs (next to the freeway and Shiner on tap) or Rosattis near my house. Yeah, I’ve been going there for 12 years. 10th seat from the door for every game. Have her drop you off and Uber home 😉 sadly…..no more suicide fries. The owner of Naked City Pizza closed his kitchen there during Covid. He’s now at The Office Bar, over by UNLV (talk about a bad part or town!!). He started up the Sin City Bills backers there. They have a good crowd too. Not the same great atmosphere as Moondoggies imo. The bartender there is lame. I went twice two times. For the Hail Murray and last seasons opener vs the Steelers. I’m 0-2 there, so I’ll never from from Moon doggies again. Their bartenders are the best. The food isn’t as good as it was when Naked City Pizza was there, but it’s still good. ehfeuh57
You are describing the Hammer however that may not be the best to hang out with your family and tailgate for an extended period of time. too hectic, too many people moving through from outside. I recommend the Big Grass lot/ Glass Lot and bring a grill. You will have room to tailgate here with an amped up atmosphere and still comfortable space where you wont get separated.

When we went to the game against Carolina last year, we just got to lot 4 at 9am and got a spot right on the street literally directly across from the stadium entrance. Great since I had to bring my crutches. I didn't realize Hammer's Lot (that I've actually never checked out) was just on the other side of the camper lot with walking distance even for me. I always stupidly assumed it was in some far off place that would be too much of a hike for me. I'll be going to the week 5 Steelers game, so I'll have to check out the Hammer shenanigans at least once then. Thanks for the map.
