Note: they found the claims about losing intentionally were unfounded. In that investigation, they found tampering with Payton/Brady which is not a 'sell the franchise' offense.

They did basically confirm the comment about $100,000 per loss but either think or are pretending it was joke, either way they're saying to cut that ***** out and you shouldn't even joke like that.

Well, after going 6-11 this year, and having very little draft capital in 2023, I think that Stephen Ross will get a second chance at tanking (hopefully more discreetly) to get ready for the 2024 & 2025 drafts

Breaks my frigging heart to see this happen to a despised divisional opponent.  I hesitate to call them a "rival" until they next win a game against the Bills

Shocked that the NFL has been this stringent. It’s out of character for the “boys club” they have been historically.

That was certainly true in the past.  The Watson case is forcing the league’s hand however.  In her ruling Sue Robinson addressed the NFL’s inconsistency in application of their PCP.  The league does not want the next player up for a suspension making the same argument.  Might be a new day.

Edited to add: Plus no owner wants other teams tampering with their players. This is an owner v owners issue.

Listening to SiriusNFL radio over the last 30 minutes.  Amber blahblahblah stated multiple times what a big loss it will be not having the owner around until November.  Huh?  Yes, the draft picks are a big deal, but who cares if the owner has been suspended.

Is it really a lot to ask, to think before you speak.

Awesome that they lose a 1st next year. This is fantastic. Now, if Tua stinks up the joint, positioning to get one of the top guys just got a little bit harder.

Why would they want to do that?

Tyreek Hill says the Dolphins have the most accurate passer in the league.

Do something that impacts other owners = get the book thrown at you. Sexually assault two dozen women = slap on the wrist.

Watson should have his wrist slapped with a dick, just like he did to the women he assaulted.

"Suspending" an owner is as silly as it sounds.  lol--can't hang around the "facility" and sniff jocks until october.  View from the owners suite will be the same on Sunday's.

Anyway, this didn't turn out quite like Flores had hoped......essentially the NFL has blown him off.

Still waiting for punishment for $nyder (checked at work, still not trademarked) for keeping more from the till than he was supposed to.

So he can still go to the games...so it's just completely useless.

I have a feeling the punishment is actually for the tanking, but they're claiming it's for the Tom Brady thing to save face.

Talking to another player under contract is far more acceptable publicly than admitting the highest authority of a team actively offered bonuses to throw games.

Of course the NFL is not going to acknowledge an owner was trying to pay his coach to intentionally lose. That scandal would be exponentially more catastrophic to the credibility of the game than "we talked to a player too early" (which likely happens all the time through unofficial channels).

Suspension from the league meeting is a big deal if he can’t send other representation.  I have not seen whether or not that was the case.  As for not being able to play with his multibillion dollar toy for a few months, good.  It will also help the league the next time they put forth a case to suspend a player. The real hit is the first and third round picks.

So does Brady have a part in this punishment since he was involved?

That is my thought. Granted he didn't sign. But there seems to be "numerous" conversations between the parties spanning a couple of years. At what point is he culpable.

His lawsuit is still pending, isn’t it?
