In addition to the $50 MIL, he also demands to be at the top of the list in every news cycle. That part is non-negotiable!

He'll have to drive a stake thru Brady's heart first.

This is a problem with drafting 9 defensive players and a replacement QB with their last 10 #1 picks.............they have done well to add Davante Adams and Aaron Jones to their roster at much lower draft slots than the players they've turned out to be...............but the drop-off to the rest of their playmakers is huge because they've not invested in that side of the ball.

We've seen over and over again that you can transform a bad defense in free agency..........but it's hard to maintain a good defense for a long period of time regardless of the investment.

So why use your franchise building blocks all on defense?

When you have a franchise QB..........you CAN build long term success on that side of the ball.

Packers tried to cheat the system.

Almost worked the past couple of seasons,  but maybe if they had been QB-centric in his prime they wouldn't be at odds with Rodgers now............and they'd have a deep enough offense that they could move on from Adams.

Bills need to take note of how Green Bay has messed up being blessed with the best QB in the conference for the past decade.

Bingo.  This.  Don’t do it Beane.

His ypc is high because that’s all dude can do. He’s a lesser version of Torrey Smith.    Run deep And hope AR puts in on him.  He’s made a handful of circus catches, he gets credit for that.

tonyan was healthy to start this season and was nearly invisible.  You’d take knox all day every day

who knows?  Maybe Knox has the same kind of start next year---after his single above average season.

MVS is doing what they ask him to do.  What else is he supposed to be doing?

The Packers have won their Division and had 13 wins 3 times the past 3 years.  They went to the NFCC game 2 of those years.  Rodgers "in his prime" led them to more than 11 wins only twice in the previous 11 seasons.  In 2020, they had the #1 Offense. The Offense around him helped him to consecutive MVPs--his last one was 7 years ago.

That's not exactly "messing up" the roster.   Lafleur/Rodgers can't get to the SB, despite the massive Offensive stats, a top 10 D and all those regular season wins.  They have been eliminated, twice, by the San Francisco Garappolo's......

Yeah, who knows.

They are asking him to do the only thing he can do.  Run straight, catch and run.  He’s not a good route runner….that’s why they don’t ask him to do anything else.

Give him the bonus to make $50 Mil when his team makes the Superbowl.

If you are making that much you should be able to carry your team to it.

They've just never invested heavily into Rodgers side of the ball in the draft............and while LaFleur has brought a better offense to Green Bay......... IMO Rodgers "prime" was during the McCarthy era, not his late 30's.

The Packers don't have a very deep or balanced offense..........Rodgers and Adams have carried them to big records playing in a feeble division..........but in the playoffs that hasn't proven to be enough against top defenses.

I do think Rodgers has looked tired at the end of the past two seasons.........but the fact remains he has deserved those regular season MVP's.

Yeah, and let's not forget Green Bay has to bear some responsibility for the mess their in also.  They didn't extend A Rogers when they could have had him at the $40M mark of Mahomes and Josh.  Quite the opposite, they got cute and drafted what they thought would be Rogers replacement and let Rogers ride out his deal.

That oh so clever GB FO now has to deal with a mess of its own making.  They had a HOF QB, pretty much in his prime, and decided to try and draft his replacement early.  Oops.  Love lucked terrible and there is now no way to get Rogers with any kind of break now.  They have to pay market price to keep him, $50M.

No, he's literally won a Superbowl and the two most recent MVPs.

If Carr is worth $40M, and K Murray is North of $40M, yes, A Rogers is $50M.

Anyone who pays Murray north of 40 should be marched out of the building immediately.

I only put quotes around "messed up"....because  you said: "how Green Bay has messed up being blessed with the best QB in the conference for the past decade."  if not the roster, what are you referring to?  Seems clear it's the Offensive roster....

In 2020, the Packers had the #1 scoring Offense in the league--only the 3rd time in Rodgers's career and the first time in 7 seasons.  That's not all from Adams and Jones.

Anyway, in the 2019 and 2021 seasons, SF had a top 10 D. Packers were in same range.  Same for TB.  In Rodgers's "prime" with McCarthy, the Packers had 1 playoff run with more than a single win over a 6 year span after the SB 10 years ago....

But  the point is that Rodgers (who didn't deserve the MVP in 2021), even in his prime, even with the best Offense in the NFL (2011, 2014, 2020), Rodgers can't get this team back to the SB.

The Packers have turned over their roster MANY times since they last won the SB............it's not as simple as saying they've messed up their current roster.

They chose to keep a bad HC in McCarthy around and not address the offensive skill needs in round 1 or free agency for a decade prior to the Lafleur hiring...........so for most of his prime Rodgers was pulling most of the weight by himself.............in recent years they've not been able to add depth around Rodgers and Adams,  all while continuing the prior trend of not drafting players to help the offense in round 1.

Brady was pulling the weight himself for decades.  Had Gronk for some of those years--a TE as his best weapon.  Plus he made the careers for tiny slot receivers like Welker and Edelman.

Who did NE draft in round as "weapons" for him?  They had no 1st round pick in '09, '13, '16, '17.  Other than that, in his 20 years,  zero weapons from 2000-2018/19, when he got Sony Michel and n'Keal Henry.  Yet no one's saying the Patriots screwed Brady's prime.  Why? Because he kept winning rings with what they had.

This fiction about Rodgers starving for Offensive weapons--particularly the past 2 seasons is bizarre, yet persistent.  There's no excuse for the Packers to have been bounced from the playoffs the past 2 seasons with the talent they had.  The best QBs get their teams past lesser teams (SF was clearly that going into their playoff game this year).

With the Packers  fleshing out the Offense to allow 2 league MVPs for Rodgers (none since 2014)---the "they've given him no weapons" argument becomes more idiotic each year.

I’m sure it has little to do with AR evading the pass rush and throwing pinpoint laser beams all over the field.  It has more to do pulling off the blockbuster trade for Randall Cobb and adding him to the stalwart MVS, Lazard and Mercedes’ Lewis.  Other than Adams, their WRs are JAGs.  Let’s hope Beane doesn’t do the same to Josh and they give him another star playmaker before next season

without Adams, Jones AND MVS, Tonyan....zero point zero chance Rodgers is MVP in 2020 (he certainly didn't deserve it in 2021).

It was the lack of a pinpoint laser beam (or a run for the EZ) at the end of the NFCC in 2020 that kept the Packers from the SB.

In 2021, it was a general paucity of laser beams while not avoiding the pass rush that resulted in 8 completions (on 15 passes) in the entire second half vs the mighty 49ers.

Packers loaded their roster with plenty of "jags" for years--isn't that your claim?  yet no MVP for 7 years.   They bring in rookies Lazard and MVP and Tonyan and a year later they are 13-3 and a year after that Rodgers gets his first MVP since 2104.  Lazard has produced 14 TDs and 75 TDs on 109 catches in the last 3 years.  Why isn't he a good  pickup?  Tonyan had a breakout year in 2018 (better than Knox this year--and everyone is saying he should be re-signed right now).  Both of these guys were undrafted.

If Josh was lighting it up as he is and won the MVP (twice) with Diggs and 3 guys  brought in as, essentially, rookies (no games played) together 3 years ago, you certainly wouldn't be going on now about these 3 "JAGS" Beane drafted 3 years ago--and how they are not adequate.   You would be calling him the Executive of the year for getting 3 pieces of Josh's MVP seasons for a total of a 5th round draft pick (MVP).

Ok, so you attribute ARs MVP drought to MVS, Lazard and Tonyan…..No mention of firing the idiot head coach that put AR behind the 8 ball for a decade+.  No mention of replacing him with a head coach that put him in the position to succeed…… the only addition that truly made a difference.

Regarding your last paragraph……yeah….let’s play made up pretend baby games.  Have fun with that.  Wrong guy.  Putting made up pretend words in people mouths based on situations that could not have happened makes much sense.  I’m sure you proved a point to yourself and no one else on earth

edit:  it’s also funny that the only qb that you use in defense of your narrative is Brady.  The GOAT.  You’re right….AR is not Brady.  So what point are you proving with bringing up Brady?

1.  Rodgers only SB win was with McCarthy.  Despite current opinions of his current coaching ability, That would also make him a coach that put Rodgers in a position to succeed.  How did that escape you?

2.  Rodgers is considered by many (here especially) as a top 5 or certainly top 10 all time.  Yet you keep saying that he needs better players around him and a better coach—all sorts of help.  Great QBs at some point go all the way in the postseason, with what they succeeded with during the rest of the season.  You would have to conclude that Rodgers isn’t nearly on the same level,  the same order of magnitude as Brady, wouldn’t you?

Poor Aaron Rodgers—he has squandered a career searching for all the help he required to prove his greatness.  Why will no one help him??

1- Aaron Rodgers winning a super bowl in spite of having a bad HC doesn’t prove your point.  Just because McCarthy won a SB because of Aaron Rodgers doesn’t mean he was a good coach for the other 12 years.   This comment means nothing over the course of their 13 years together.

2- lol…..yes….I keep saying that he needs a supporting cast to win a super bowl……. Ask Matt stafford.  It’s the NFL, not boxing, tennis or even the NBA, where 1 player can win a title on his own….ask Dwayne Wade.  You continue to bring up one qb, Brady, that does this with no supporting cast (while having the best coach of all time).  What other QBs have done this repeatedly?  None.  Only the GOAT.

Brady is on one level.  Aaron Rodgers is clearly below him…. CLEARLY.  Who is comparing Rodgers and Brady…..other than you, as you continue to move the goal posts?

Sounds fair..........he's only won the MVP two years running.

True buddy, but what has that mvp got them as well?  He is always complaining how the team doesn’t support him with talent at Wr or whatever position he is currently complaining  about, and so how does he look to help the TEAM , by demanding to be paid more than any other qb in the league probably.  He proves there is no team in Aaron Rodgers. He is a headache diva, just last year holding out etc., and still is acting like things are up in the air.  He just thrives on attention and that’s what I can’t stand about the guy. Despite his mvp regular season he was terrible in the playoff loss as well, and it was a home game loss in addition.    He will prob get that as the gm sounds like he is happy with their “ new relationship “ ; I would love to see how that relationship is if Rodgers doesn’t just get whatever he demands he is worth right away.

Wins matter in the postseason , and this guy does not have all that great of a post season record ( he has been responsible for other playoff losses with bad picks ), so those mvp  awards and 5$ will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks and that’s about all its worth in my eyes.

Stafford has as many Lombardi trophy’s as Rodgers , so it’s about the team and Rodgers  always acts entitled because he thinks he’s unique just because he “ reads books”:!  Lol !  How bout reading that headline Aaron, one title with all your great regular seasons; bet on your arrogant self with 40 mil and incentives IF YOU MAKE IT OUT IF THE FIRST ROUND !?   It’s about next year , not what you did , so prove you can still perform with pressure of the playoffs.

You pay a QB that price if it's going to get you a SB win. Recent history shows Rodgers isn't getting that for GB at that price. In playoff exit to SF: 0 Tds NOT 1 (they lost by 3) the average air yards per pass: 4.8 yds (that's Capt Check down material). It's also not a 1 game thing but a persistent playoff problem according to the article below. Rodgers is great during the regular season but he hasn't delivered recently in the playoffs. Oh & for context, Brady's deal w/ Tampa was 2 yrs for 50 mill. & Rodgers thinks he's worth double that w/o the recent winning playoff let alone SB record Brady had? Ok Aaron.
