Awwufelloff
What we should have done was the Harbaugh Maneuver: Tackle/hold all eligible receivers at the snap. You get hit for 5 yard penalty - and 5 seconds roll off the clock. It forces a hail-mary and we win the game. I just don't get it. Mcdermott and Frazier failed miserably there. They also called all their timeouts getting ready for their play. They had time to make these discussions and couldn't do it.

Einstein
We should have had 2 or 3 d linemen rushing. Not 4. With 3 d-linemen, you can double every receiver on the field. One can hold/shove them at the line. The other brackets behind for extra coverage. It was really poor defense.

Watch Kelce run absolutely free on that last play. No one was near him for the first 10-12 yards until he cut easily away from Levi. Our defense was a joke tonight aside from Ed. 1 1

Awwufelloff
Why were the Bills playing like the Chiefs didn't have 3 timeouts? The entire middle of the field was completely open. 1

You can't let him start his route free. Yet, we did. We need an aggressive DC. Hopefully Frazier is gone. We have personnel issues in the front 7, but Fraizer did nothing to mask those. 1 minute ago, Awwufelloff said: Why were the Bills playing like the Chiefs didn't have 3 timeouts? It would have been different if KC had no timeouts. They had all 3! So they played it perfectly. A 19 yard gain to the 44. Then about 15 more would do it. It was not a situation to lay back in a deep zone. That would have been the situation if they had no timeouts, or maybe even just one left. That initial 19 yard gain had me saying "that's it ... we're going to OT and whoever wins the coin flip wins the game." Neither offense could be stopped at the end.

Palpably Unfair Acts -Rule 12, Section 3, Article 2 “Beginning in the 2017 NFL season, deliberately committing fouls to manipulate the game clock was classified as unsportsmanlike conduct.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfair_act https://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/221611/how-the-nfl-prevents-teams-from-using-penalties-to-win-games https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2016/11/27/the-ravens-intentionally-held-nine-players-took-a-penalty-and-a-safety-to-oddly-win-their-game/ Of course this is the one that the Patriots, Titans and Ravens have bent at one time or another in random games. Most likely given the fact you are playing in the only and marquee playoff game with everyone watching, you wouldn’t want to tempt referree fate in a hostile stadium (and the commissioner power to overturn the game) with blantant holds like that. Also, given that something similar hasn’t happened since 2019, it was likely one of those internal memo/point of emphasis situations where teams were told to cut it out or else face real consequences. 1 hour ago, Big Turk said: 1 hour ago, Big Turk said: Edited January 24, 2022 by BillsGuyOutWest

They were protecting against a TD when they should have been playing them much tighter. WTF is Wallace 5 yards wide of Kelce protecting the sideline? They had three time outs and not enough time to even use the sideline. McDermott got schooled again by Reid. The best playoff performance by a Bills QB was ruined by a HC that preaches continuous improvement but doesn't improve himself.
Joe Barnin
Yeah but even that new rule lets you do it once. It only applies to repeated infractions. So the Bills could have done it on the first play, taking a five yard penalty and running off five seconds or so. Then the Chiefs would have had to make a huge gain to get in FG range.
