They keep talking about ridiculously high winds maybe being present for the game.

One place said gusts up to 60MPH.

If the wind is crazy, and it just takes over the game and turns it into a sideshow, I will be really disappointed.

I think everyone will.  We have the makings of an epic game here and who wants to see it ruined with crazy weather?

I want to see skilled football, or at least have a shot at seeing that!

Hopefully most of the fans will be wrapped up like they are planning to be driving a snowmobile all night so the cold doesn't get to them...........but if it gets that windy people will be heading to the exits.   You won't even be able to even keep your eyes open to watch the game without goggles on at 60 mph.

Even the lower end prediction for in the 20's in mph for winds is worse than the Bills/Ravens playoff game last year..........and that was a windy GD game.

This could really turn into a goofy game with crazy winds, at least at times.

I remember many years ago (no idea when it was) a punter in a Bills game punted the ball out at Rich Stadium into a wind that was so great, the ball just went straight up, and was actually blown BACKWARDS by the wind such that the punt went for NEGATIVE YARDS.

Or something like that.  Maybe someone can fill in some of the gaps on my memory here.

I hope the team isn't thinking like the fans are.

This team has to embrace these kinds of conditions.  THIS IS BUFFALO, NY.  I hope the players are all going back to crazy pick-up games they played w/ their friends in terrible conditions, and getting stoked about whatever comes.  It's football.  You play in the wind, rain, snow, sleet, mud, whatever.

It would be a bummer if they were like, "Oh, no!  We need it to be clear and nice to win!"  I doubt they are, though.

this is a joke. I would guess that this could be record winds for a game.  50 MPH?!

if you want to see what this game will look like, check out this windy bears game. Can’t snap the ball; can’t hold the ball on FG’s; FG’s going 50 yards wide; 5 muffed punts; 2 completed passes in the first half.

That's only wind.

Monday will be wind AND snow. And at night. And for the division lead.

So damn exciting.

First Miyagi-San, I miss the old Primetime.  Fond memories of kids in college who were my little toddlers watching Primetime before prayers and bed on Sundaynights.

You nailed it in concerns.  Forget rain or snow.  That means nothing to the team.  It’s wind. If the wind is minor, Allen far out weighs the strengths of Jones.  I listened to Sal this morning and he is right, don’t be surprised with some designed Allen runs and running yards are running yards.  Who cares if it is from Allen vs the guys.

I also think short passes can be a friend to us.  Everyone keeps saying the Pats, but Allen can’t hit Bease for a 3 yard pass and take it farther.  You know Diggs can do that too at 7 yards.  We don’t have to throw 20 yard passes to win.

Screw the cheats as I’m over this love fest for the pats.  I hope our team does too and punches them in the mouth.  You think Spencer Brown doesn’t have that “screw you , I’ll knock you’re head off mentality”.  I think so and I’d bet GROOT does too.

Show these clowns who really owns the AFCE in the next four weeks.  We did it last year.  Do it again.

i agree. I actually wonder if altering the game plan to short stuff is going to help Josh take the easy stuff and play within himself.

Maybe Sin Se.  To me is not that complicated when coaching.  You do one thing to drive the other team nuts, and then they adjust, so you adjust and do something else.  Play the, tight with lots of designed runs, Jets screens, heavy package, rub routs short, etc.  then matters loosen up, Allen shocks everyone with a deep route or two.

Most of the nfl hails from Texas, Florida or California.  Not too many of those games.  I’d guesstimate that 1/10 players enjoy playing in bad weather.

its 2021.   People would rather be comfortable and play the game in a setting where they’d be most successful.

Kids today don’t give a crap about the old days and how football is meant to be played.

Someone should tell these kids that the weather has no effect on your success.

I believe it was Steelers punter, around 1985.

I started another thread to ask opinions, but somehow seems it should go here....  So....

I'm feeling defeated and upset by this forecast.

So far 19 pages talking about the weather for Monday Night and I checking the updates, I'm just gutted at what appears to be ridiculously windy conditions.

Don't give me "You play the cards you are dealt".  Do I want perfect conditions every week?  Yes I'd be happy with that.  Some adverse conditions are okay, but Monday looks terrible and certainly will play a huge factor in preparation and play calling.

This will not be the best version of the Bills or the Pats, and I find myself no where near as excited about the game.

The only hope is that winds do reduce to 10-15 mph......

Weather won't be that bad.  Looking at hourly it looks pretty clear for the game...other than the 40mph wind gusts. :)

Wounded ducks from Mac are on the menu.

2 yard passes won’t be affected that much. Meanwhile, maybe we can learn how to run the ball
