I'm eternally grateful for the BUFF. We were up-range of them as they bombed the hell out of the Iraqis in 91 ... we could feel the ground shake. BearNorth Posted November 11, 2021 Share Posted November 11, 2021 Yes, I worked in payroll [troops really appreciate getting paid correctly], spent time at Beale which was a SR-71, KC-135, and B-52 base, KI Sawyer which was a KC-135 and B-52 base, and U-Tapao Thailand, which had KC-135's and B-52. You should thank the tanker pilots as well, they give our aircraft nearly unlimited range.
