Numbers for elite players go up year after year. If injury or other circumstances were to take the run game away from Jackson, I highly doubt the debate exists. And Ravens are lucky they were not embarrassed by the lowly Detroit Lions yesterday so lets see how Lamar does this year. Its kinda wild to think how close the Ravens are to being 0-3 The chiefs were well on their way to win that game until they fumbled the game away. H2o Posted September 27, 2021 Share Posted September 27, 2021 Josh is not the athlete Lamar is and Lamar is nowhere near the passer Josh is. We've also had more success as a team overall being led by Josh than Baltimore has had with Lamar. Josh has accounted for more TD's and turned into the better overall player at this point, regardless of whether Jackson won an MVP or not. Josh's numbers last year were better than Lamar's MVP season. Personally I don't care what Baltimore throws at him. Like most are saying, the more the better because it takes away from their cap. If they are as high as some speculate the QB salaries could skyrocket. Then Allen's contract could look even more "reasonable". That is my hope. It's terrible for professional football players, though. This is the future some envisioned when the cap was introduced.
