Thing is over the years he has made some just terrible game day calls that would have sunk any other team. Having Brady (under discount conditions no less) for years bailed him out. Having good players in their prime sign for less to chase a ring with Brady helped immensely as well. If the Bills were searching for a head coach, and you took Belichick's time without Brady into consideration, would you be clamoring for him to be hired as our head coach?
