Views from the Opposition City - week 1 Pittsburgh

That Pitt Sports Writer might want to talk to this guy Adam Archuleta who admitted during the Miami PS game he was oh so wrong about Josh 3 years ago.

He now wonders how any team can stop him  :)

There might only be 2 worst draws for your opener...KC at Arrowhead and Tampa the defending Champs and even thats debatable.

The Bills at home with a full house on week one with this fan base has got to be right there with those other two.

50,000 for the PS game and they were loud and now 70,000 crazy football starved fans with a contending team to cheer for at last.

This is going to be a beat down of epic purportions  :)

I'm actually happy to see so many pro-Pitt takes. I want the Bills hungry on the 12th.

But "disheveled from COVID?" What? Maybe at most Dawkins missing a lot of camp, but he looked fine last game and he has another week and a half. No other players have missed substancial time. That's a hot take.

It’s not just their reporters. The WHOLE fan base is in complete denial. They aren’t handling the inevitable decline with grace. They’ve all talked themselves into Haskins being the natural predecessor of Big Ben and it will be quite the seamless transition. Living on the outskirts of their territory in Erie, PA, I’ve had numerous fans explain to me their weapons were “loaded”. I just laugh and say uh ya you have a bunch of #2 and #3 wr’s. That’s loaded I guess????

Bring up their division and it’s just “the browns have sucked for 20 years” on repeat. It’s a group that just can’t/refuses to wrap their heads around where their division is going.  a fan base that’s been overly spoiled for nearly 2 decades now and will not let themselves believe it’s gonna end. Pure denial and delusion.

It’s Mark Madden. Those are the only takes he puts out. He’s an imbecile

Rothlesburger has a rifle, it's true.

Its just that Allen has a cannon....

They lack the cornerbacks to watch our WRs. Expect our top four to have a good day.

They couldn't watch our three last year, Sanders is going to break their hearts.

They also don't have anywhere near the OL to exact a strong run game vs. us.

On paper, we should beat them worse than last year.

The game was very close in the first half....till TJ's big play then....

Diggs and Allen (with help from the OL, Davis and Beasley) took the game over.

Kudos to the Stealers for keeping us out of the endzone with a first down  on the one.....

Though our OC knew the field goal was enough and probably kept it safe.

The Bills are the better team with the better QB and had the better offseason....

Bills - 31, Stealers - 17.

Go Bills!

Not anymore

A couple guys on GMFB thought we will lose this game. And front page of ESPN+ has an article (pay wall) saying Buffalo is one of the five teams expected to regress. I don't know how people are looking at two different teams than us, but I certainly felt like we got a lot better over the off-season. Time will tell.

Steelers have a winning tradition, stability in many spots, and will likely be at their best early in the season. I won’t be surprised to see them picked to win by several and that is a. good. Thing. The more people who pick the Steelers, the bigger the chip the Bills will carry and we’ve seen them rise up in those occasions. Any underdog status that can be manufactured this season will be a gift.

I expect a close game and I think the Bills are the better overall team, at home, so I do expect them to win the game, but not easily.

I am worried about the Steelers running on the Bills. I also think this will be a close game. The Bills should win but I could see a 27-24 type of game.

When they get behind by 3 TD's the run game goes out the window :)

Besides who says their line will push the Bills D around? it wasn't good last year and is worse this year.

THAT was the most disheveled write up I saw ever.  The writer has ADD....all he could do was bang out a few sentences on a subject???

My brain hurts reading that.  He made Sully look like a Pulitzer Prize Academy award winning writer!!!!

Go BILLS!

I hope you are right as I would love a blowout win but remember the Steelers are a solid football team. Didn't they start out 11-0 last year? This will not be an easy game especially with Ben healthy and throwing the ball well.

Yeah they did, but their schedule was against many bad teams. But yeah regardless of that Steelers have always been a good team
