The media would have taken a hit like that on a star player and ran with it too. Gronk wasn’t very harshly criticized anywhere in the media either. If that's so, Anderson was fined 18k less for an obvious dirty hit than Ford was initially for a questionable illegal block penalty. The massive fine reduction tells us that the NFL acknowledged the refs eff'd that call big time.
