Brandon Tartikoff

Without him, Seinfeld does not survive the early seasons.

I vote Russ.  His influence was all over the Bills from circa 2006 to the time he was fired last year.  Not saying it was a good influence, but old Russ sure knew how to market the heck out of a team that wasn't trying to compete for many of those years. Still, he didn't have enough influence to fire Jauron after the disastrous finish to the 2008 season.

We’ve flogged this same article/author to death in another thread already, but it bears repeating—Allen can do everything right as requested since end of last season (work on short/medium passing attack, take what D gives you), and the national narrative becomes that’s proof he sucks even worse because we can’t trust preseason, whilst Murray (or whomever, fill in the blank) is given a mulligan for every failed pass attempt because, preseason. Got it!

"Josh Allen surprised pundits, going 7th last year."?

He was an all consensus top 10 pick projected iirc. A lot of mocks had him #1.

I mean it is like he woke up and forgot josh played in the nfl last season

he didn’t like his short safe passes?  Does he know this was actually a weakness of Allen last year? Too much hero ball

If the Bills go 4-12, is there a 73% chance that Josh gets cut?

I was at the cardinal game last week vs the raiders, he looked terrible.  You want to talk about accuracy issues this guy was  missing open WR by 5 to 10 yards.  He had two or 3 false starts because of something stupid he was doing with his hands prior to the snap.   He looked completely lost.

As long as we lose our NFC matchups, tie breakers will put us in the playoffs and nobody gets fired. 😎

The biggest thing the NFL people have over anyone writing about the draft is that they've actually interviewed the guy in depth.  I would say just about every top 10  QB  spent significant time with team management before the draft.  We know the Bills were on the phone with Allen for a long time the day of the draft talking about his teen nonsense.

These writers, especially ones like the author here who looks like he lives in his parents' basement, have never spoken with any of these guys except maybe to ask for an autograph or selfie.  They know nothing about the minds of these guys.

At best, the average fan is just "piggybacking" off the information they obtain from media sources.

They need to watch ESPN or read CBS Draft Scout before even knowing WHO the top prospects are.

The professional scouts are literally starting from scratch.  They spend all year long researching hundreds of college players, from all over the country.

Don't get me wrong.  There is nothing wrong with regular guys with watching YouTube game film on players.  And I think it's very possible for non-professionals to develop well-researched opinions on various prospects.  It's actually one of my favorite things to do in the offseason.  But it's also important to keep in mind when you are scrutinizing Josh Allen's film and bashing the bills for drafting him -- a QB from Wyoming wouldn't have even been a blip on your radar if not for the professional scouts.

Personally, I wanted the Bills to draft Josh Rosen instead.  But I'll willingly admit to being wrong.
