A woman "forced" to cover up her “inappropriate” outfit on a flight has been left “mortified” by her experience.

Emily O’Connor, 21, from Solihull, claimed Thomas Cook staff threatened to remove her from a flight she boarded from Birmingham to Tenerife.

Oh and

Hell ya I would

To say Generation Z'ers are over-dramatic may be the understatement of the century.  "Mortified" over it, g the f outta here.

Okay... let's see you get kicked off your flight for wearing normal clothes and see how you react.

Maybe you'll choose a different word than "mortified," but your reaction would probably be the same.

I'm guessing you're not a hot chick, though, so no one will care. ?

Bupkis.   Anybody that gets tossed off a plane is going to be "mortified."    How about saying "get off my lawn" while you're at it...

  1. 1.
cause (someone) to feel embarrassed, ashamed, or humiliated.

"I'd be mortified if my friends found out I was learning ballroom dancing"

  2. 2.
subdue (the body or its needs and desires) by self-denial or discipline.
"return to heaven by mortifying the flesh"
synonyms: subdue, suppress, subjugate, control, restrain, get under control; More

This is stupid though.  And yes, she's being a touch overdramatic for her 15 seconds of fame.

So you're a no?

Hum...always felt that mortified was a much stronger word than simple embarrassment.  Guess I was off a bit, fair enough.

That "oily" skin is a natural tanning lotion.   I know.  I can get a good tan in 2 days time

That is honestly dumb.Girls at my school wear WAY less, and this is a free country were we’re able to wear whatever we want so this invasion of privacy is very inappropriate

This didnt happen in the US, at least not from what I can tell by the names of where the flight took off from and landed.

It's also not an invasion of privacy, unless they asked her to remove the clothing.

Give him a bottle of Silver Oak and he’ll be fine.

If I had a bottle of Silver Oak, that’s NOT what would happen to it!

Funny story...That was my wife’s favorite so I’d get her a bottle for special occasions. She’s hard to shop for and we had a wine storage closet so I figured no problem. On the news one night was a story that wines don’t keep the way they used to. I had a closet half full of this stuff and it ain’t cheap. I opened one....and it had gone BAD!!! We declared open season on the Silver Oak! The only bad bottle was the first bottle, and we had a great time discovering that!

I am a very weak person when it comes to ‘cellaring’ wine.  I split a case of Silver Oak with a friend and went thru my 6 bottles in record time.

If it was Screaming Eagle, I’d be just staring at it, wondering how long before I break down.

What?  America is a free country, so an airline in the UK invaded someone's privacy in public?
