That's not necessarily true. Everyone talks about the justice system being biased against minorities, but the real story is that it's biased against those without means. Money can absolutely buy freedom.

If it doesn't fit.  You must acquit.

True. And we don't really know yet what this place was like or looked like inside (out of the hygiene rumors). If there are girls that look 16 years old in there of course you would think it's 100x more trouble than if they are 30-40. I'm just saying there are tens and tens of thousands of little massage parlors in this country and most of them are pretty legit, a huge number are shady to some degree where you may get some sex in there and a small percentage are actually using slaves and human trafficking. That small percentage is actually a large number because there are so many in total and it's one of the worst things in the world. I'm not in any way saying it doesn't happen or it's okay in any way.

I know a few people in area law enforcement.  Most escort services or parlors are very careful to avoid any woman that looks underage.  If a woman is there underage she probably has been given a good quality fake ID as a cover.

Wow, never thought THAT for a second! It’s part of the seedy underworld we know so little about, but is much larger than we could ever imagine. And it’s hard to imagine any more horrific. Glad this one got shut down, and I hope that the publicity about this could make at least a tiny little dent.

Didn't Jerry Richardson get forced to sell the Panthers over workplace sexual harassment?

Yes.  The only way I can rationalize this is that workplace sexual harassment is a form of bullying, therefore Jerry Richardson is a bully.

Kraft, as of now, is just horny.  There is no proof (at least not yet) that he know the spa was participating in human trafficking.  If it is proven that Kraft knew this and still patronized the spa, it only gets worse for him.

It's personal conduct away from the team so it would not be fair to penalize the Pats that way.

I know.  Augie and I were just joking about suspending Brady for this.

You go to a “spa” for a ***** you have to know something is wrong.

That's what I thought.  Don't shoot up a pizza parlor you whack job.

Exactly. I say the same thing to the mentally unstable Bernie supporters (but i repeat myself) about shooting up congressional baseball practices.

Just want to make sure you're not talking about the patrons, because it seems a lot of ppl are...

Sorry , that it was a rude post.  I would NEVER say anything about the sex slaves, they either do what they are told or are killed.  Most people don't understand that!  As far as the Patrons, they should be (if they knew) should be held accountable and potentially castrated as it is in my eyes a form of rape.

Yeah, we really don't know. I am not naive about this stuff. Within a couple miles of my pretty nice neighborhood of Sherman Oaks in LA, there are at least ten little massage parlors, most of which look like they are run by Asians. I'm pretty sure, without knowing, that you may be able to get sex in a couple of them. I would bet a lot of money that most of them are legit and not one of them is part of a human trafficking ring. But I don't know for sure, and don't know anyone that has used one of them. I do know a girl that worked in one and not a chance she would have had sex at work with a client.

I agree that Kraft went for the happy ending, or more,  Not sure how it will be proven that he knew the girls are trafficked in and/or are minors.

Agreed, manufactured outrage as opposed to level headed rational thought.

Global warming is not what will kill the species, societal upheaval due to social media destroying civil discourse will be our downfall.

I don't know if it will cause our downfall, but social media is really the change that has brought out a lot of the conflicts. Society has to adjust the noise.

Right. Human trafficking is disgraceful and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but it's naive to think there are not a lot of women willingly making these transactions. It's the oldest profession in the world. Ironically, Robert Kraft looks like the oldest man in the world so he may have been there at it's inception.

Yep. Social media is just the amplifier of many things...including our collective self-righteousness.

The girls probably look 12 years old and maybe weigh 80 pounds from malnutrition.  It won't get him in court but he still has to deal with the world at large.  I guess no more Friday meetings with Jim Nance ahead of a Sunday national game involving the Pats.

Seems like the little masshole is a little upset because one of his own finally got caught for being the scum he is.

Well that's interesting. Bigger name than a multibillionaire owner of the most successful franchise in recent history. Hmm. Who would qualify as bigger than that? Almost has to be major politician doesn't it? I guess maybe athletes are more famous but kraft is certainly more wealthy and powerful
