But even palaces become obsolete, as people want new kitchens, newer and more bathrooms, and all the modern conveniences. If you dropped the capacity to 66,000 and had the average at $100 (a tick below league average) you are looking at $6,600,000 per game and $66,000,000 per year. If you kept the capacity the exact same you are looking at $71,608,000 per year. You are creating an extra $20M a year ($2m a game) by just bringing the stadium to the league average. That is an average price of $1,000 per season ticket ($83.33 per month). If that is going to really hurt someone they probably shouldn’t be spending their money on season tickets to begin with. Does your breakdown factor in the cost of PSLs? There is a mich higher revenue market just waiting to be occupied in San Diego. I would hate to see the Bills move to greener pastures because of political reasons... I am not sure that can be done in the short term and there isn’t a facility to house them. I suppose they could play in Toronto but we all know how well that will go over. When the stadium was built the construction continued during January, February, & March just like the weight room addition going on now. Shelters or work areas were enclosed with chicken mesh in plastic along with heaters were used. Of course how fast any remodel would be completed would be determined by how extensive the amount of work that has to be done. On a side note the weight room addition steel structure has been up for a month, rubber roof was put on last week, all exterior green board is done and this week installation of the wall of windows facing Abbott Road has started. The Pegulas put in $18 million last year & another $18 million this year into the stadium complex. At that time, the team installed what’s known as the A-Turf Titan surface, which according to the team’s website, was considered“the top synthetic turf system available and is noted as the industry’s top performing system by providing the perfect balance of traction, foot release and unparalleled durability.” Speaking with people with knowledge of the industry, most new synthetic surfaces have a shelf-life of 8-10 years. Given the weather in Buffalo and the field being exposed in the winter, there’s no surprise the New Era turf would need to replaced on the earlier end of that spectrum. Some fans have wanted to see the team return to using red end zones, as opposed to the current blue. There’s no word on if the organization will do that or not, but I’ve been told in the past that red turf doesn’t translate onto HD-TV as well, giving off a glare that can be tougher to determine depth perception. So, given that all games are now broadcast in HD-TV, that may be a factor the team would have to consider if thinking of changing back.
