Chicharito
I couldn’t believe we made a list of cities most deserving to host a super bowl https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/cities-that-deserve-a-super-bowl/ss-BBSBLWz?li=BBnb7Kz#image=
machine gun kelly
The only way that happens if the Pegulas and State spend around $500. Mil having a partial dome, tons of modern improvements, and yes it would be fun, but doubt it will ever happen. We also don’t have the local economy to pay for a new domed stadium with many mor suites. i appreciate you’re post, but not even close to likely. There was just a story on the news about Buffalo having too much hotel capacity. Maybe that's part of the plan to land a Super Bowl once the Pegaladome is done?
Not at the table Karlos
Cant find the quote but a while back goodell said that teams building new stadiums would get a superbowl if criteria is met. If we build a stadium with a roof we most likely would get one. Iirc rochester and possibly torontos hotels would count towards our total. I think it was everything within a 2 hour drive. Augie
I’m in Atlanta. I see the biggest result of a Super Bowl in your hometown (unless you are attending) is extra traffic and it’s tougher to get dinner reservations. NOW, if you wanted to rent your place out, there might be some real benefit. If anyone knows of anything cool related to the event, please let me know. I’m too old to run or throw balls for fun. I just run on a tennis court, or if I’m being chased. We tried to get into the Dan Patrick show but so far we have struck out and shows are sold out. 1 hour ago, Not at the table Karlos said: Cant find the quote but a while back goodell said that teams building new stadiums would get a superbowl if criteria is met. Or, in Jax case, a cruise ship. Do we have large luxury cruise ships on Lake Erie?

The Senator
Wanna know why Buffalo will never host the Super Bowl? In addition to requiring a 70,000 capacity stadium, climate controlled if the outside temperature falls below 50 degrees, here are some of the other ridiculous requirements: https://www.rd.com/culture/super-bowl-host-city-requirements/ . RoyBatty is alive
This will never, ever happen, no way no how not even with a $1 billion stadium. There inst the infrastructure to host a super bowl, not enough hotel rooms, restaurant, bars, not even a big enough airport.

Marv's Neighbor
What a hoot! Nice pic of BUF, well outside of February! Dome or not, who would ever WANT to go to BUF in February? Dome or not, you have to be able to fly/drive in out, and that's certainly never a given in the winter.

I cant see them putting 500 mil into New Era after they have dumped 400 mil over the past 15-20 years into it. Plus, structurally can New Era hold more weight? Regardless, Indy’s barn dome was 730 mil- thats where I am at. Enough of that relic- even thou I do love it in a love/hate kind of way.

dlonce
I hated the Super Bowl in Minneapolis. It was bitter cold there. Everything was indoors. Loved the other three venues, especially Tampa. It was 30 s and 40s in Atlanta for the Bills last SB,but certainly was palatable. Buffalo will never get one. We couldn’t handle the population influx unless people stayed in Canada. Like the NJ Superbowl Super Bowl XLVIII? Rules are changed (exceptions) when they want to make them. And no Buffalo is not getting a Superbowl even if it is a dome stadium named after the commissioner.

Yeah, I thought about that one too, but I think Goodell is more prone to make exceptions for cities with a new stadium - especially a brand spankin’ new palace like MetLife (the most expensive stadium ever built, with the largest capacity of any NFL stadium, at the time it opened). Also, NYC is a much larger market, with way more than enough hotels and restaurants, and with considerably more clout and appeal than Buffalo. Heck, Buffalo’s hotels and restaurants are bursting at the seams even when we occasionally host the first round of March Madness. Can’t wait to see how we handle the Frozen Four in April. . There was a major winter storm in the NE the week of NYC’s SB. The League was very fortunate it stopped before Sunday and the stadium could be prepared for the game. I don’t forsee another open air, northern city stadium game.
