I thought that was the deal. Not positive.

Isn’t he a FA now? I thought they passed on trading him last year when they had the chance and  if he can just leave

Eagles have the option of extending Foles 1 yr $20 million. Highly doubtful they do but the option is theirs.

Oh I see. So if they want to trade him they need to extend him... by when do they need to do that, is it early March like tyrod’s situation from a couple years ago

The Redskins are the kind of idiotic franchise that would give up WAY too much to move up. A move to 15 and their second rounder and I would blow my load.

I think to move for 9 to 15 it would cost a tad more than that. Im not sure what the formula says but I can see that teams 1 this year, 2 this year, and a 3 this year or another 2 or 3 next year.

Edited- here is the value chart according to Walter Football. It looks like we may only fetch a 2 on a deal from 9 to 15.

A 2nd rounder would be value plus a nice premium.

Why?  Play hardball for their 1 and 2.  They want a QB then pay the price.

That may work or may not- we will shoot high, they will shoot low and hopefully meet somewhere in the middle. If we get more than what the value is supposed to be, then great.

Looking at the big picture though, I'd still take it and we could even demand a mid round pick in 2020.

That's mid first, 2 nds, top 10 in the 3rd, 2 fourths, two 5ths, a 6th and two 7ths.

That would be huge considering how stacked the draft is at positions of need - DL, Edge, OL is deeper than people think, TE, and WR.

Man, TS, not to get ahead of ourselves, but I think you would be seriously looking at 3 definite, 4 likely, and possibly 5 starters with the above, if done correctly.

Yesterday I mentioned another second could get us (this is my preference mind you) the best T, a great WR and one of those Tier 1 Cs talked about in this year's draft.  All in the first three picks.  Throw in a possible G and another lineman in FA I can't help but get excited about the grunt end of OL foundation getting set-up.

The Bills moved up 12 to 7 last year by giving up two second rounders............FOR A QB.

I guarantee you if the Redskins want to move up 6 spots........... FOR A QB, the Bills are going to want more than just a 2nd rounder from Washington.

I wouldn't be surprised to see clayton thornson go high in the draft.

He withdrew from the Senior Bowl due to injury.  I predict he goes to the Packers in the 3rd or 4th round.  He could go higher if he lights it up at the combine.

We need to extort them. This is the QB premium and we better be willing to ask for it.

15th, 46th and next year's 1st

That is more than the haul the Bills got for the Mahomes trade with the Chiefs (where they moved from 10 to 27).

Maybe 15, 46 and next year's second rounder would be closer to fair value + Qb premium.

We kinda gave the Chiefs a break there but I'm fine with 15 + 46 + 2020 2nd Rd pick.

This is insane to me but what do I know. He’s Peterman.

He played last year 6 months after tearing an ACL.  He clearly wasn't healed.  Then hid team lost their best offensive weapon for the season in the second game and he had virtually no receivers.  He has intangibles, physical tools, measurables and a strong arm.   He just needs time to develop in a pro system.

I watched almost all his games pre and post injury. Just my impression.

OK just looking for football gouge?:)  He is 3rd on the depth hart after Eli and Alex Tanney and I expect he will be cut if the Giants draft a QB in the first 3 rounds.

3rd on depth chart after Trick Shot Tanney who has booped about the league for 7 years and played in 1 game, not a promising look for last year's Senior Bowl MVP of whom Brian Billick said "This may be the best quarterback pick of the draft", Charlie Casserly said " Watching him on tape, I like a lot of the things I see. ..... maybe this is the next Jimmy Garoppolo."

Although it's possible that he's 3rd because the G-men didn't think he was ready to play last year should Eli fail to arise from one of those bone-crushing hits, not because their talent evaluation is Tanney >> Lauletta

Either way, the whole police officer/arrest thing not a good look for a guy scrambling to stay on the roster.

One storyline to follow for 2019: The #Redskins are planning as if they won’t have QB Alex Smith next season, sources say. They believe he’ll miss the entire season with his broken leg issues and are acting accordingly. If he’s ready, they will be pleasantly surprised.
