Schefter: "If I had to guess on the biggest name that moves next week is LeSean McCoy"

Love Shady but can definitely see this happening.  No TDs this year, YPC pretty average and big cap hit in 2019.  A team in the hunt will be glad to pull him in and use him as a bell cow or 3rd down specialist.

Daboll has NE pedigree where the RBs and WRs are replaceable pieces.  Personally I think RB is easiest spot to replace via draft.  And Murphy/Ivory could be serviceable backfield for rest of the season.

Wonder if Allen's prognosis is taken into consideration.  If out another 4-6 weeks then Shady is a goner IMHO.

Getting a 3rd or 4th would make me happy. Strike while there is some type of value

Absolutely.  We have the leverage here, I think, so I'd hold out for a 3rd or even more, if Beane can pull it off.

But if we can get a 3rd, he's gone faster than you can say "Shady".

good player with certainly the potential to great.

I was referencing the other only good player who has had an established career.

White is a better player than McCoy currently. He also plays a much more valuable position.

Exactly, I would trade him for a 7th just to be rid of the contract. This year is done and Shady is certainly not part of the future (whether he is till good now or not.)

I agree, I was for trading McCoy last year when he had more value...I don't think he's going to get much of a pick as it stands. Nobody's beating down the door to sign a 30 year old back coming off a concussion.

The bummer of it for me is that I would have liked to see him play out his contract. But the dead cap certainly points to either this season or the offseason as the time to look into moving him. He was a really good player for the Bills, I initially didn't like the move but he changed my mind 100%. Always seemed committed to giving his best on the field.

trade your best player?

seems like a present bills move.

smh

6 games 244 yards rushing 3.9 average, 85 yards receiving and 0 td's on the season. Yeah we will really miss that production.

I'd trade him for a 6th or 7th just to rid us of the $9 million cap hit next season.
