Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

The audience at ‘The View’ goes wild as @SenWarren rattles off all the things she’ll make “free” via a “2 cent” tax.

Not even many Democrats are usually this transparent in their attempted vote-buying, but Warren isn’t going to beat Biden by just sitting there Indian-style.

Video at the link, but not exactly must-see TV.

Media has been indulging Warren's"deep grasp of policy ideas" for two weeks now in hopes of bumping her up into the top tier of candidates

and it took less than two hours for "Rachel Dolezal" to trend on twitter.

I heard Liz once say we could pay for free college, free child care, and free health care with the money we would get by repealing the Trump Tax cuts.  I'd like to see how that pencils out.

Because we weren't running a budget deficit before the tax cuts.  So I'm sure that'll cover it.

And this dingbat's on the Senate Banking Committee.  :wallbash:

DNC makes it more difficult to qualify for 3rd debate.

The debate is set for Sept. 12 and could extend to a second night, Sept. 13, if enough candidates meet the threshold to participate. The location and moderators have not yet been announced.

Like the first two Democratic presidential debates — which are set for next month on NBC, MSNBC and Telemundo and for July on CNN — the September debate and a fourth, to be held in October, will cap participants at 10 per night.

what audience does Eric Swalwell believe he is addressing there?

He’s talking to his bathroom mirror and thinks he looks really really smart and compassionate. He doesn’t realize that he didn’t wear pajamas last night and everyone can see he has a tiny peepee. He’s a joke, a mother f ***** ing joke.

Tax revenues are higher now than they were before the tax cuts.

This shows you were today's Democrat Party is today

Best spin on this one I've heard so far was from a DNC spokesperson (missed who, it was on the radio) who claimed they weren't booing in support of socialism but "because they're tired of being wrongly called socialists by the GOP"

Democrats want to move toward the center for the 2020 elections.

So, they are looking for gun confiscating, full-term abortion supporters, who believe in 90% tax rates, open borders, welfare and free health care for illegals and for ending the Electoral College and repealing the 1st, 4th and 15th Amendments.

Oh... and they have to be moderates.

Someone in Eric Swalwell’s personal circle who he trusts really and truly needs to stage an intervention …

That he thought this ad asking for campaign donations was a good idea says so much about him and ain’t none of it good.

The elevator music in the background is not a nice touch.

Notice he does not keep a hand on the baby while he throws the diaper away, which tells this editor he doesn’t do this very often.

Regrettably I saw of few minutes of Gillibrand's Town Hall last night.  It can be summarized in two words:

Hate Screech

Her townhall could not have been worse. She either didn't know the subject matters or just plain lied. And she was very convincing of that.

I'm presidential material!  Who knew?

I had been wanting to comment on Eric's comment about "passing the mic" when he didn't have the experience to make a decision.  What will be able to decide then?  He certainly can't decide anything for me because he's not a disabled veteran/drummer/piano player/tennis player/Texan/computer geek/Bills fan.  He is none of these.

I went to Ace yesterdAy and parked next to a fellow Yang Ganger. Had a sticker and everything.  I would be so sure he can't beat Trump.

My wife is from WNY too.  She runs into people she knows in strange places often.  Funny.
