Bodine just gave up on Streater Td play

Recommended Posts

Sorry I'm not going to link it here because Im too mad, but watching Bodine simply stop blocking for our rookie qb on what ended up being the Streater touchdown throw could have gotten Josh killed.

Guys are bearing down on your qb, there has been no whistle, and you just decide its ok to quit on the play.  What is wrong with this guy?

He pushed Collins out of the play.

Looks like he blocked his guy, and gets spun around looking where to go next.  But he took his assignment out. On top of that, he comes off a double team.... Does he have to block three guys?

And...Allen steps up into the hole he made.

Yeah, I guess the turning around and fumbling with his gloves might seem a little awkward, but he completely brickwalled Collins to give Allen the exact amount of time that he needed. Really solid play overall. I don't see any issue.

He made the initial block, then he got a text. What are you gonna do?

Murphy is No Thurman Thomas in pass protection.

That may be so but I read here today that Allen/Peterman = Kelly/Reich so I think we’ll be okay.

I won’t question that since I’m sure you had a reliable source.

Bodine was a 4 year starter in Cincinnati. He's no Pro Bowler but he's not trash either. Haven't seen Groy beat him out for the position yet either. Until something changes Bodine is still the starter at C.

Actually just the opposite. Groy started last game and looked better as well as the rest of the line as a whole when Groy was in there. The online also played mi h better with Groy this past week in the run game.

Id bet whatever you want that Groy starts this Sunday and once the season starts

I've been saying they should try him at OG and start Groy at C.

This. Becaus Ducasse is terrible. But he might have incriminating pics of McBeane. There’s no other logical explanation as to what he’s still playing

The Ducasse loyalty from the front office is really baffling. Especially when they have done so many other things right so far.
