I could care less what Jackson's wonderlic score is, seriously. He's a decent, hard working kid who's willing to learn and who's ultra competitive without being a first class jerk like a couple of these top QB prospects. Jackson's going to make a lot of NFL players drool on themselves when trying to lay a hand on him. 1

26CornerBlitz
2018 NFL Draft: 5 potential trades teams should be discussing2) Buffalo Bills (12) to San Francisco 49ers (9) for QB Lamar JacksonBills GM Brandon Beane is playing it coy when answering questions about the team's willingness to trade up again to get a quarterback. He's already made a deal to move up nine spots (from 21 to 12 in a trade with the Bengals), and I won't be surprised if he and head coach Sean McDermott trade up again to land a true playmaker at the position.Last year, the Bears signed Mike Glennon to a three-year deal before drafting Trubisky. The Bills could follow suit -- their signing of AJ McCarron to a two-year deal earlier this month should not prevent them from striking for a QB in this draft. As for Jackson, he's a special talent at quarterback. McDermott's defenses practiced every day against Michael Vick in Philadelphia and Cam Newton in Carolina. I think he'd welcome that type of dual-threat QB on his team again this summer. The Niners would move back a few spots and add a third-round pick (No. 65 overall) to their draft haul as part of the trade, and might very well be able to claim the same player at No. 12 that they would have selected had they kept the ninth pick. Virgil
Today sealed the deal on me wanting nothing to do with this kid. It just makes no sense for him to continue to buck the trend in the draft process. I understand not wanting to be considered for any position outside of QB, but to continue to refuse to run a 40, which all the other QB's did, and teams having difficulty scheduling private workouts with him, shows me that that he just didn't get it. I don't care about the wonderlic, but it doesn't help his cause. Considering he won the Heisman last year, had a better year this year, and still isn't considered in the top 4, there's something missing that all the GM's are seeing. I was against him before because of his size and the way he played against elite defenses, but he's really messing up his brand with this offseason. Dan Marino still isn't 5th in career passing yards or anything, he barely threw the ball.

Spielman
I was on the L. Jackson bandwagon, but, after his pro day, I can honestly say I would not draft him (at least any earlier than the 4th round). He was awful, especially on deep throws and outs....if he can miss that badly to wide open receivers with no defenders, I can only imagine what he'll look like in the NFL. I cant speak for the others, but I can personally tell you that you are GROSSLY INACCURATE if you think the ONLY thing I can make a case for him on is this one play. I dont want him or anyone off of any single or few plays. Some of us happen to believe he is a better passer than you think he is. That doesn't make us right, its our opinion. You seem to think your opinion is the only right opinion and now are making assumptions to why we have a different one. I watched him a LOT in college...and yes, like EVERY prospect, there are pros and cons to their game. There is NO HANDS DOWN franchise QB in this draft. There is no "Andrew Luck" type grade on any QB. I watched every USC game, and trust me, Sam Darnold is no lock. He makes bone head plays every week. I love the kids potential, but lets not pretend he had a perfect reel himself, because he doesn't. I cant even understand the love for Rosen by some here who want to give up 3 first round picks for him and more. The guy has Bradford like durability combined with a Cutler-esque leadership and likability...Combine Bradford and Cutler into one QB is not inspiring to me. I would be happy to have him and hope he proves to be more than that, but the kid is as much of a gamble as Lamar is for different reasons. At the end of the day, getting any of the top 5 QB prospects this year should be something we are all excited about. Some of us prefer to not pay a bounty and see them all more closely graded than others. Other people read only mock drafts and mistakenly think the draft starts and ends only with Darnold and Rosen. Personally...Baker Mayfield is the QB prospect I think is the top prospect in the draft. But I would love to land Lamar or any of the top 5 who fall to us at 12 too and keep all our picks and still have a stud QB prospect. And make no mistake, any of the top 5 QB's would be the top or 2nd best QB prospect in most drafts...this is just a crowded and diverse year.

D521646
I think the pundits are in for a rude awakening come draft day when they see their sweethearts, Allen and Jackson fall out of the first round.. No frickin way these two should be drafted in the first, let alone the second. I think you'll see one of the 2nd "tier" QB's selected before these guys, Rudolph, White? Good luck with your project if you draft these two.. Way to throw away a pick. LOL Tim-

MJS
Wow, people actually think he threw the ball well at his pro day? That's one of the worst outings I've seen from a potential high draft pick. He looked terrible to me. If you look bad on your pro day that is a bad sign. They are designed to make you look good. I think it was smart of him not to run the 40. Now all the news is about that and not about how bad he looked throwing the football.
