There’s not many, if any, schools when it comes to QB’s that have a long line who succeeded.

Right and I know each case is independent from one another.  Just seems to be something in the water out there

you're right, and ill be honest I havent watched much of Jackson.  But my biggest draw back from Tyrod was he seems to apprehensive to sling the ball, whether its a products of Dennisons system or whatever.  I watched Tyrod completely miss or look away from open receivers. I may be jaded but id rather hav a wild gunslinger than someone who played not to lose

Lamar isn't afraid to sling

Again I'm not sold on him in the NFL, but I am not into guys who work outside the pocket a lot.

That's just my.

He's def a better prosect than tyrod was coming out though.

The other 2 basically boil down to this - he wore a F Trump hat, had a hot tub in his room and rearranged some lawn ornaments... oh the horror! lol

He’s a much better prospect than Taylor was. I don’t believe Taylor was ever at any point an early round grade but could be wrong.

Jackson has been a first rounder since last year.  He was talked about possibly the number 1 overall pick at times in 2016 when he was just killing it.

Do you think hes capable of being strictly a pocket passer or is the scrambling ingrained and unavoidable?

Much rather have Jackson than Rudolph. He has played in Dabol's system as well. His talent is intriguing for sure. He'd be my number 5 QB.

Yes I do

I think he should sit a year and learn

If he starts right away he will have a hard time learning

I never said I talked to anyone. So why you mad Bro. You asked me for stuff to back it up. I provided it and you still can’t except it. This is coming from scouts and people in the media. I did not make it up or manufacture it. So it’s out there and it’s a problem for Rosen just like it was a problem for Dan Marino. I can’t help it that the QB you like the best is going to drop like a lead ballon in the draft.

Will see what happens. This is my opinion and i’m sticking with it. Your have a right to your own opinion and who’s to say your wrong. I’m man enough to come back here after the 1st round is over and man up if I’m wrong. What more could you want then that. If I’m right i’m hoping  you will come back and say he was right in his way of thinking about Rosen.

Because so few College QBs succeed in the NFL, you can say pretty much the same for all colleges.

i guess Michigan might be the QB factory having produced Brady and Harbaugh.

Can you name another school that has pushed out so many first round qbs that haven’t succeeded? Obviously not a law written in stone, but please find a power house school with a worse ratio this century. Maybe ND but I don’t follow college as much so

USC is a high profile school that generally has more talent than their opponents.  That can tend to mak some QBs look better than they are and lead to them being over drafted. If Mark Sanchez had played at another school, he likely would not have looked as good in college and hence wouldn’t have been drafted as high.

I’m laughing my ass off you can’t make this crap up even if you tried. His own college coach would not draft him if he was on cleveland.

A few moments ago on @nflnetwork, Jim Mora said that he'd take Sam Darnold over Josh Rosen if he had the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft. Here's Mora's reasoning:

As we move closer to the draft we are beginning to have a better idea of what will happen at the top of the draft.

*Looks like CLE wants Allen but would also like to get extra value from Giants by trying to get them to come up to #1 for Darnold. In all likelihood, Allen and Darnold go 1-2. CLE entertained the idea of moving down to 4 to take Allen but with the Jets moving up they can no longer risk doing that.

*Bills love Darnold but can't make that trade happen because teams at top don't want to move down to 12. Beane will want Giants to pull the trigger on Darnold rather than let Darnold fall to Jets (that would be worst case scenario for Bills).

*Jets will have choice between Mayfield and Rosen. I believe they go Mayfield.

*That leaves Rosen as odd man out. CLE already has taken a QB so they now can take top positional player. They will still want a ton for this pick because this player at #4 could very well be the top rated player on their board. I don't see Bills paying a heavy price for Rosen, mostly because of durability concerns and not being the alpha male leader. I think having the QB get their teammates to rally around them is important to the Bills regime and Rosen does not excel in this area. Bills stay put and Denver is on the clock.

*Denver is interesting and I think Elway prefers Mayfield and Allen over Rosen. The #2 rated positional player will be on the board and I could see Denver passing on Rosen to take that player.

*Colts run their card into the commissioner because they got extra picks and the #3 rated positional player (Chubb, Barkley or Fitzpatrick).

*Picks 7-10 go positional players as none of the teams need a QB. A team could definitely trade up with one of the teams and the price might be very reasonable, but move would not be done until teams are on the clock.

*Miami is very interesting. What do they think of Rosen? If they like him enough, I see them trading up a few slots to secure him at 7. If they are lukewarm on him they will wait it out and probably go in a different direction or field offers for a team who wants Rosen to trade in front of Bills at #12.

*If Bills like Rosen, they will almost certainly trade up into picks 7-10. If they don't, that will mean they are also lukewarm on him. I believe that Rudolph has been the back up plan at QB throughout the draft process. If Bills failed to get one of the top guys (specifically Darnold), then Rudolph would be a safe backup plan. Bills definitely have interest in Rosen but the medical and interview process is going to be huge in this decision. I don't think we will really find out until draft day. If Bills move up a few spots, they could get Rosen. If they stay put, they will probably pass on him and take another positional player or even pull the trigger on Rudolph.

If The Bills are staying at 12 and there choice is between Rudolph or Rosen, I predict the Bills will select Rudolph. I’m praying the Jets take Rosen. Rosen does not fit the Bills or this towns culture, nor does he seem to fit the Process that Coach McD has instituted on this team. I also think that Rosen will be the biggest bust at QB in this draft. I have him rated outside the top 8 and in my opinion he will be that QB that drops in this draft. The TV networks will keep showing him in the green room with all the game day pundits on TV savaging him and us TV viewers with stories of why he’s dropping. To me he has the most red flags and problems. Also I will have to question weather I want to support him as a Bills QB if he were to get drafted by the Bills. My opinion is the Bills are targeting Josh Allen and Mason Rudolph. If they trade up to the 6th pick with the colts I can see them getting Josh Allen. This would have to be done on draft day after the Broncos pick. So the way I see this playing out is Darnold to the Browns, Chubb to NYG, Baker Mayfield to the Jets then Barkley to the Browns. Then you have Den, who knows what will happen there. Then at 6 if we trade up with the Colts we get to select the number 1 QB on the Bills draft board Josh Allen. The other way this works out is the Bills trade up to 4. Then trade 4 to the NYG to get to the 2nd pick and take Josh Allen at #2. In my opinion Allen is the target for Bean with Rudolph as his fall back position for QB at 12. As far as Rosen this guy is going to be the biggest bust of the draft QB class. The more I listen to him talk and see what his team mates had to say about him the less I like him. He is skinny and injury prone. If anyone has watched the Movie Draft day

Rosen is this drafts Bo Callahan or a real life Johnny Manziel.

I love when people say he "does not fit our towns culture" yet our best QB ever was as arrogant as hell until his son born who cheated on his wife and called out his own teammates to the media (#80sBickeringBills). Anyone who has met Rosen the past 2-3 years have commented on how good a teammate he has been including a current Bill who played with him and that he relates very well to his players because he is so open minded. Please exactly find a statement by a teammate ripping Rosen because otherwise your white noise. If you referring to Jim Mora's comment well he just got fired so not sure what else you expect from a guy who had boat loads of talent for years and couldn't put it together. UCLA does not have captains for their team but he was in their leadership committee and for coin tosses he selected regularly by his team to be one of the leaders sooo...yea

Now if you are concerned with Rosen the player I would at least agree that his injury issues and commitment to the game are red flags potentially. But just about every major draft analyst has said Rosen is the best pure passer in the draft and most NFL ready. Doesn't mean he would end up being better then Darnold but he certainly has the potential to be quite good.

The funniest thing is Jim Kelly refused to play for Buffalo and went to play for the Houston Gamblers for 3 years.  He rejected the city initially.

At the start of the draft season there seemed to be a significant amount of character attacks on Rosen. And where there is smoke there is usually fire. But in Rosen's case, I think some of the character stuff is overblown. He does not seem to be a bad guy or bad teammate. However, I do think there are some maturity concerns (as there is with Mayfield) but nothing that makes him not worth considering at the top of the draft.

My concerns with Rosen are durability and leadership. First, the durability is an obvious concern with the injuries he has had in college, especially the 2 concussions he suffered last year. That makes Rosen a risk as availability is a huge factor. Second, has to do with leadership which is separate from character. As I said before, Rosen does not seem like a bad guy and might even be well liked by teammates. But that does not make him a top end leader. I think there are concerns about whether Rosen can be the alpha male in the room and will his team to victory. That's where I think Mayfield and Darnold appear to excel as leaders and competitors. Without interviewing Rosen, coaches and teammates it is just an educated guess. But those are the 2 areas where the Bills and other teams will likely have concerns.

Agreed that is why I said if you have red flags with him as an actual player the injuries and his commitment to the game are real. I think he can be a leader, but I think the concern that at 29-30 years old he decides to quit and move into something with his degree are valid. When teams draft QB's they literally stake everything to them and if all goes well you hope that guy can play until 36-38 years old filling your QB void for 12-15 years. The last thing you want is that guy pulling the parachute barely 8 years in and if your a GM your job and your staffs job depends on him being the guy.

Still think Rudolph will be drafted before some of the top 5 in this draft class. So meaning he might go before Darnold, Allen, Mayfield, Rosen and Jackson. People are sleeping on this guy. he could end up being the best QB in the draft class. I’m thinking that there are a few GM’s out there that also believe this. He has the 2nd best Accuracy in this draft class and the best deap ball, plus he was a 4 year starter. He also has the size and weight that you want in a QB. Watch out because this dude can ball.
