I think that if the Giants play out this draft as you predict it will be a smart move for them. What we give up to make the deal seems fair except I would think that instead of giving up next year's first round pick instead a second round pick might be more reasonable. But if we have to give up the extra first in the next draft I'm okay with it if we get the qb that we want.

Yes could happen but I don’t think the Brownies are taking a G. They are ok there and desperate at CB. They are playing Demarious Randall at S.

No idea either.  I like your mock.  Still allows us to fill lots of holes.

Well, great news we don't Have to trade for up for Mayfield.

(Miami isn't drafting a QB round one)

My sense is that Beane likes bigger qbs who can stand tall in the pocket. I'm a Mayfield fan but I think this regime wants a bigger qb and a more pocket passer.

The NYG make out like crazy with this scenario. Plus I think that they will indeed take a QB in this draft. In the 2nd.

Btw I’m being mostly sarcastic about the inside info - though I do have some it’s not worth much 6 weeks out. And I have nada on the Bills.

What did the Saints give up on the LA Chargers trade? Could Mayfield be the next Drew Brees (former Charger)? Tee hee.

When all is said and done if the Bills don't come out of this draft with a high-end qb prospect I will be very disappointed. If the Bills can't get Rosen I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills go after Allen. I have the feeling that McBeane because of their history with Newton at Carolina that they favor big qbs.

He’s a good player and top 20 is right where he should go. He’s not in the elite category so he’s not going top 10. but in the right system (see Saints) that is set up for him to succeed he will be fine. He’s accurate, smart and competitive. But he has some things that will make him “fall” because he’s just not for everyone.

Elite is top 5-10 for me. He’s not really “special” in any category, so I don’t think he will go that high. Highly productive player in college with Lincoln Riley’s offense but needs a certain scheme to succeed in the NFL due to his height. Some teams are set up for that and some aren’t. He also is a lightening rod with his actions. He’s going to have to prove he’s grown up to be the face of a franchise . Thing is, he’s one of the oldest QBs in this draft. He’s already going to be 23 at draft time. I like him but he’s not for everyone. This is of course jmo.

I agree on the Rosen choice and I have a tough time thinking that this will be Beane's, McDermott's choice for QB.  So many issues with this kid.

Then I look at Yolo's mock and see all those choices from the 12 spot to the 22 spot and can't help think that the Bills can get two really good starters in the first round. Then two more possible starters in the second round. Four good young starters or a QB with issues...not to mention giving up next years first.

I would rather have QB Baker Mayfield and OT Mike McGlinchey and the two-second rounders and next years first.

12. NYG (from Bills) - Derrius Guice RB

13. Redskins - Ronnie Harrison S

14. Packers - Mike Hughes CB

15. Cards -  Vita Vea DT

16. Ravens - Isaiah Wynn OG

Look, I thought 21. 22 was a great spot to get players... I don't think our franchise QB is in the top 5 picks.... It's shocking what folks are prepared to give up

once the hype machine gets going.

Have to disagree, he is special in every category; very accurate, highest completion percentage, second strongest arm, can play in the pocket and out, can run, read defenses, and very importantly  makes plays when the play breaks down.

His character is perfect for football as even current NFL players love how leads.

He had one drunken incident which isn't an indicator of future problems of alcohol and drug addiction.

There really isn't anything not to like but his height.

I actually hope you're right and we can get him at 12.

1a-ROQUAN-MLB

1b-Lamar Jackson-QB

2a-Billy Price-G

2b-Harrison Phillips-DT

3a-Frank Ragnow- C

3b-DJ Chark-WR

Edmunds would be the better choice at LB at 12.

Don't really need two interior lineman, we desperately need and up grade at RT.

Love Harrison Phillips but we just signed two tackles and need to get some offensive weapons.

I would draft:

1. Baker Mayfield ( if he's there )

1. RT Kolton  Miller

2. LB Leighton Vander Esch

2. TE Mark Andrews

3. WR DJ  Chark

3. WR Dante Pettis

1.  Cleveland.    DARNOLD.  Seems to be gathering steams as no.1 overall.

2. NY Giants.    ROSEN.  This is a deep RB draft class.  You can get a good one later.  They have a short shelf life.  The Giants need a successor to Eli, the 2019 draft class at QB is hot garbage.  So bad it won't have a 1st round prospect in it.  They won't have a better chance than they will with this pick to get a bonafide blue chip QB to pass the torch to.

3.  NY Jets.      MAYFIELD.  The GM and Coach DO NOT HAVE TIME to wait on Allen.  They need a guy who plays day 1.  That is Mayfield.  He had a billion reps in college.  He got better every year, he is a name, and he is a charachter.  This who they went up for.

4.  Cleveland.    KOLTON MILLER. AGain, they signed Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson is on the roster (one of their better players)  ...PS. Hyde was a Buckeye..bonus points for the browns fans..the GM comes from a long line of front offices that DO NOT draft RB high.  Including when he was the one making the picks with KC.  Joe Thomas just Retired.  They NEED his replacement, and here he is.

5. Denver.        ELLIS.  This is another regime with a coaching staff that has THIS YEAR to do something.  They signed Keenum to starter money to win now while they think their window is still open. (debatable) ...This isn't the coaching staff to turn a new QB over to when they are fighting to keep their jobs....they need day 1 starters...and their O line is trash..perfect match.

6.  Colts.         CHUBB.   The Colts could consider a trade down, but Chubb is on the board...he is who they will stay at 6 for..no trade down again.

7.  Bucs.          BARKLEY.  The Bucs get a present gifted to them here....the impact playmaker they need in the backfield to go with Winston and Evans.

8.  Bears.        DAVENPORT.  Team needs a premium pass rusher....they spent FA dollars on offense.

9.  BILLS.        Trade up to 9 with San Francisco.  The Niners don't see anything here they MUST have and field calls from Arizona and the Bills about this pick.  The Bills give up the 12th, keep the 22nd a 2nd and 3rd to do this.   ....and they select.....ALLEN.  Knowing Arizona was in on him here, the Bills make the move here and get what they hope is their man. (twobillsdrive.com servers will blow smoke)

The rest doesn't matter.

Yes sir, Rosen baby

Steelers take Rudolph, interesting.

He nicked that from my mock ;).

It does make a lot of sense though. They have nothing behind Ben, who keeps threatening to retire, a pretty complete roster in other spots and run a lot of spread concepts that Rudolph will recognise which would help the adjustment.
