Can you imagine the melt? Dolphins pass on Rosen for a LB, all of Buffalo celebrates and heads to NFL Shop to preorder their Rosen jersey’s. Goodell walks to the podium and announces “Marcus Davenport, defensive tackle, Texas at San Antonio”.

Half the posters on this board are going to have a meltdown no matter what the Bills do...

Very Interesting ... thoughts on Davenport at 12 in lieu of Rosen??  Also curious on picks 5-11 .. no QB's

Remember guys, Deshaun Watson, who was the consensus #1 pick to the Browns this time last year, went #12. Teams like to push up the quarterbacks so position players drop. Happens every year.

That's why the Jets trade up at this point makes zero sense. They guaranteed themselves the 3rd best quarterback in the draft. It's too early.

I looked at the Bleacher Report mock just above your post by mistake then fixed. My mistake

Either way. No matter where our pick ends up, if we pass on Rosen for anybody not named Darnold or Mayfield I will literally puke right there.

Lord help me if we pass on Rosen just to take Rudolph

We have already bolstered the DL in Free Agency.  It wouldn't make sense to take Rosen when he is available at 12 without giving away a single draft pick...And if Rosen is there, I don't see Miami either not drafting him.

(1) whose mock draft is this?

(2) was it made after drinking too much Irish Ale yesterday?

(3) Take Rosen, then get Landry (BC) if you want pass rush, or get Evans, McGinchey, or Vea.   All top guys at position of need.

(4) If the FO is keyed in on Rudolph (which was the rumor before the trade-up), I don't like it, but I'd trade back from 12 and get another 1st rounder, get Rudolph and the guys mentioned in #3.

You don't pass Rosen for Rudolph.  I still don't think the Giants are going QB if Barkley is on the board.

I agree.  It's like saying to Eli we aren't trying to win, we basically want you to groom a backup QB.  Even if Barkley is gone, they need OG, DL, etc.  I see them trading back to get more picks.  They can still be in "win-now" mode.

I think there is a chance Mayfield or Allen is there at 12, I don't think it's this impossible scenario that many make it out to be.

I think one or both are there at 12.  Likely Allen is there.  In that case, I try to trade down if Rosen or Darnold are also gone (likely).  Or, take Davenport and L. Jackson at 22.

I keep going back and forth with the Giants.

On one hand you have a team that can draft one of the best RB prospects in a generation and possibly win now with Eli, Barkley, OBJ.

On the other hand you have the reality that the NY freaking Giants are drafting #2 overall for the first time in how long?! This is a perfect opportunity for a winning franchise to set themselves up for the next 15 yrs and draft a blue chip QB.

The giants havent drafted in the top 5 since 2004 (rivers/eli) and before that was 1996.

With an aging Eli, this can be their chance to reset the franchise. Let Eli start one more season. And then start Rosen or whoever they draft at 2 in 2019. Keep in mind that the Giants have a new GM. You know that GM wants to have a sure thing at QB to replace Eli.

Giants are tough to predict. I can see i go either way but the more i think of it, i can see them going QB.
