Hebert19 Posted January 31, 2018 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Unkess we can trade him behind the scenes ala Smith. Here's why I think this is the case. 1. Cousins is not coming here. He will end up in Denver or NYC. 2. Cost to trade up will be too high. Especially if they aren't sold that one of these guys are the next elite AN. 3. We have more holes than qb. If we trade up we would put a rookie out there with a ****ty team and we know how that turns out. 4. Bradford and Bridgewater are NOT upgrades. Before wasting money on them we have to ask. Are they really better. Draft well...sign some people to plug holes and this team will make playoffs again and have more money and options next year for draft. That way you got Peterman who might be redeemable if he sends the offseason watch film and working out; and a rookie who could be the future and you do not need to rush. Without that, I cannot see TT here another year. His limitation are too great if the team wants to not only make the playoffs, but win a game. JerseyBills Posted January 31, 2018 Share Posted January 31, 2018 I've been saying this. I feel we hired our OC based on Taylor or Alex Smith. Draft a developmental QB and stick with Taylor. It's all about scheme with Tyrod, if we get super creative he can be a force imo. Similar to the offense Tennessee runs, which has a huge amount of Oregon concepts. Other than Cousins,there are no upgrades and I doubt we go after Kirk or trade up, Taylor stays. Improved overall roster plus what should be a much improved scheme and Tyrod could be a dangerous QB. I guess it's based on Smith to DC - which only means it's now certain Cousins is leaving DC - yeah the rest of it is strictly hypothetical on not getting Cousins I guess. Maybe the OP is one of the set of people (who I don't completely understand) who were hoping the Bills would get Smith b/c he is somehow good.
