I’ve never heard a scout or have read a scouting report that mentioned playing 4 years dropped their draft status because of weat and tear... Guys have dropped for staying in school and dropping production. Guys have stayed in school and dropped because of injury. But never for playing more college football. ??♂️

YoloinOhio
He played on a bad ankle most of the year and missed some games. May want to strive to have a healthy season, and their team has a good shot to win the Pac 10 this year. JoeF
A local kid from here in Wake Forest, NC. A young man with a diverse set of interests, high intellect, and high character. I cannot say enough good things about him. He has impressed a lot of the right folks in Silicon Valley. No matter what he chooses to do, he likely has a great career in front of him. He loves the game and works as hard as anyone, but its far from his only path to success.

He is good at football, but may not actually like it. He is also smart and may have his sights on the rest of his life after football. One can always go back to school, but in the sciences, it's not that easy. One tends to forget stuff over the years; he'd have to start over in a few areas, most likely. I would never knock a person for staying at Stanford to complete a strong major. 29 minutes ago, YoloinOhio said: He played on a bad ankle most of the year and missed some games. Or a young guy can enjoy one more year of one of the greatest times of his life and sacrifice a season of NFL football when he's 32-33 in doing so. As a bonus he also finishes his degree from one of the best universities in the country. For all we know the guy might be planning on playing only 4-5 years and investing that cash then moving on to a vocation that isn't going to kill him. That would seem like the wise move to me.

This is a Stanford biology degree we're talking about. His abilities to play football will not play into the minds of potential employers because 75% of them will care less if he even played any level of football. He's a biologist not a salesman. starrymessenger
Maybe he moves up a round or two in next year's draft. This year's class is very deep. I'm sorry he is not declaring. We need to draft one this year IMO and now there is one less premium RB.

We need help in many areas for sure. The draft is top heavy with RB's. This years RB class might even be better the last year(Fournette, Hunt, Cook, Kamera etc). We should't pass two years of strong RB's. Our offense sucked last year . And that was with 31 year old Shady, What happens if he gets hurt? RB is a big need IMO. I don't think anyone agrees with me, but I just don't think Shady is back with Buffalo due to aforementioned age and contract. I think Beane and McD realize his current market value as a trade being higher than his cost to the team and find a trade partner for a mid-late round pick, I'll go 4th....to a team that needs a one year good to great RB to help round out the Offense for a contender....like, say the Colts. I could see Josh McDaniels thinking that a Rookie RB to be similar to the Demarco Murray / Derrick Henry duo with Shady....and Shady would be indoors, for Luck (presumably), in a winnable division despite the Titans, since Jags are going to be good but they also played a Luck-less team twice and got to 10-6....just a guess, but it would make sense to me.
