OCinBuffalo
265 pages....and I wonder what exactly is in there that I missed. Did I miss something? All those hours spent....talking about what exactly, as we now know things today? What a waste of man hours. All this, for literally nothing. Oh, I am certain there's some humor in here....but you're high if you think I'm gonna start at page one of this...monstrosity. They have no choice but to continue down this path because if they pull back now, they'll be exposing that the rest has been a lie. This has been the brilliance of the counterintelligence sting, in my mind. It's forced their hands. It's forced them to do exactly what we'd expect (go on a book tour, doubling down in public statements etc etc). It will make them look that much worse when the truth goes mainstream.

This has always been about leveraging public opinion to delegitimize the election results and the opposition presidency. That hasn't changed; the public statements and talk-show circuits are still part of that operation. The difference is that their struggle now is not just for power, but for their freedom and livelihood.

What gives me hope is that some of the most ardent deniers of the past two years in my circle have come around the past two months. Mind you, they still think Trump is dirty (even though he came away clean from a year plus under the most intense/invasive surveillance and investigation possible in the western world) -- but they all now smell a rat in the narrative. I figure another two months from now they'll still be no fan of Trump, but still be outraged over the abuse of the system which is being exposed. But, if Trump's avowed enemies say it's true, it must be. I guess this is just how the office of president is going to be attacked for the next few administrations. I'm sure Republicans will do the same to the next Democrat....sling accusations constantly, until something sticks, and meanwhile the whole country suffers. But this whole investigation/Russia/Russia/tax returns/investigate the investigation is off the rails and is only dividing further a divided country. B-Man
YES. The Mueller Report Indicts the Trump-Russia Conspiracy Theory. “In the end, Mueller’s report shows that the Trump-Russia collusion narrative embraced and evangelized by the US political and media establishments to be a work of fiction. The American public was presented with a far different picture from what was expected, because leading pundits, outlets, and politicians ignored the countervailing facts and promoted maximalist interpretations of others. Anonymous officials also leaked explosive yet uncorroborated claims, leaving behind many stories that were subsequently discredited, retracted, or remain unconfirmed to this day.” Kudos to The Nation for publishing this. .
