Chuck Wagon
Maybe that's your code, but when I hear "athletic" I think of a QB who'll tuck it and run or extend the play with his legs. Frank Tarkenton, Steve Young, Rothlisberger are just a few who don't fit YOUR stereotype. Personally, the guy can be a smurf with a laser rocket arm and 4.7 (though I'd take 4.6) GPA w/ 4 championships in a pro scheme - I want a winner, don't much care what he looks like! When someone brushes off a player like Watson as simply an "athletic" QB it becomes pretty clear pretty quickly they haven't watched him play much and are judging a book by it's cover. He was 3rd in passing yards in college football last year. The same lazy criticisms were thrown at Jameis. You won't get a bigger winner than Watson in this class. I've covered it sufficiently. There are things to not like in his tape. But simply comparing him to Tyrod or saying he primarily looks to make plays with his legs makes it pretty clear someone hasn't watched him play. Comparing him to Jameis or Manziel off the field makes it painfully obvious someone knows very little about what's been said by those who know him. Mark Vader
Dear God, I hope that is just speculation, or that it's all a big smokescreen from the Bills front office. I do not want a QB from this draft.

Mr. WEO
"Matt Miller added the rival GM's quote in his report. The GM believes Doug Whaley will target Clemson QB Deshaun Watson. "They'll draft one in the first two rounds," said the anonymous GM, "and if I had to pick it'd be [Deshaun] Watson based on what [Doug Whaley] likes and how he thinks." Watson is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks selected in the 2017 NFL draft. Many draft analysts believe Watson will be a first round pick so if he's the quarterback that Whaley covets, Buffalo would likely have to use the tenth overall pick in the draft on the QB." http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/02/rival_gm_expects_buffalo_bills_to_draft_qb_in_first_two_rounds_says_matt_miller.html Well, he doesn't covet the white QBs! CanadianFan
Bills will draft a QB - that's a given since EJ is gone and Cardale is a long shot, unless they find another QB elsewhere. ESPECIALLY IF TT is kept on as QB since his durability is suspect. As for the round number, I think that's where the games of draft begins. 4merper4mer
be just like Whaley to get all antsy and "reach " trade up for Watson My favorite if when we get mad at Whaley for something he hasn't even done. It's awesome.

Webster Guy
Swap Gilmore's money for alshon jeffrey and keeping woods, restructure TT, draft best safety available in 1st (hooker pls) Mahomes qb in 2nd, another Cb and best kicker avail in 4th. Somewhere in the late rounds please find a freaking punt/kick return specialist. Thats a good draft. Mahomes will need a year or two to be ready. Nice thought, but TT said he isn't restructuring and Woods is gonna get 8 or 9 mill on the open market. We can't afford him and Jeffrey as well as fill out the rest of the roster. We still need a RT also.

He is. But he sais Wentz and Goff were better prospects than Winston and Mariota this time last year. So he isn't perfect. I agree with him there is no elite QB prospect here... but I think Watson is a better prospect than the two Mayock was so high on last April.
