Virgil
In town the night before the game. We've done the falls twice and the wait to get into the original wings joints usually is terrible. Oh yeah, she's also preggo so drinking isn't an option
Offside Number 76
If you really want wings in the City of Buffalo, try Gabriel's Gate. Much, much better than Anchor, not as good as Duff's. If you want a nice dinner, well, we're going to need to know more about where you're staying.
NoSaint
You should drink a ton. You have a built in DD. Seems obvious man.
mead107
Where are you staying? You can go up to Danny's to have a bite to eat with and meet a bunch of TBD members. They will start getting in around 7. Neat sports Bar and good food. Last few years they sit up behind the bar from where you walk in. You can come over to the Marriott and hang with our group. If you want my Number PM me asap. or PM jack. Pearl st Grill is interesting place to eat also. A ride out by the stadium on you way to Danny's . Best Player Available
Duff's in the "land of crabapples" Cheektowaga is good for 2 reasons good beer/ good wings. Doubt there is a line there anytime. Plus with a DD it's a reasonable place to start the evening.

mrpunchy
Gabriel's Gate and Mothers are both excellent suggestions. When family comes in from out of town I take them to Gabriel's Gate for wings. I think they are as good as anywhere in the city including Duff's. Mothers is more intimate if you are looking for fine dinning. I think that fat bobs is next to mothers and that place can be A LOT of fun.
Virgil
Thanks for the suggestions. Money isn't an issue if the wife is happy. We are staying at the Hilton near the airport. I'm not sure meeting some of the people on here would go :-). I'm still slowly bringing her into football and the Bills family. Just today I was at East view mall in Rochester and was happy that Victoria's Secret had Bills clothing. That's the best way I've found to get her a hoodie and pants

Virgil
After looking these places up, I think we are going to try Gabriel's Gate. Reviews look good. Any thoughts about non-food activities? Also, I think we are going to try to swing by Hammer's Lot before the game. Is there a good time to swing by or, not to sound stupid, way that you all recognize each other?

For non food or non bar ideas there is a big thing going on in the harbor for navy week and anniversary of war of 1812. The naval park is really cool to see. Also other ideas are albright Knox art museum, see the falls duh, casino, tour some architecture, rent kayaks and tour waterfront on the water, go on miss buffalo cruise, walk around and shop either on the elmwood strip or in village of east Aurora

I would slip back to a booth where she saw a piece that interested her and Xmas time.........
Kipers Hair
Toronto. Unless you wife is from the hamlet of Dolgeville NY, it's become apparent that Buffalo have little in the way of big city entertainment to anyone. As far as I can tell, there is nothing to do here besides eat (local foods only...and dont tell me how great the Chop House is....it's not), play smoe golf and go to the Bills game..then go home.... WhickedWilliams
Left Bank is also good. Mothers is great & Fat Bobs is fun! Gabriel's Gate / Duffs for wings 100%. Mullberrys - Italian. But Allen Town is more hip at night verses Chipp. It's an older more mature crowd, not always 18-21 year olds drinking where drama & meatheads are the norm. Offside Number 76
Do I even want to know what tempo is? Tempo is a very nice modern American restaurant on Delaware Avenue. I don't know too much about what is near where you are staying, though. Chef's. They have fantastic Italian food and sauce. Very reasonably priced and its a local buffalo icon. Good Lord, no. We want his wife to enjoy her time here. Chef's has "fantastic Italian food and sauce" if you're German, Irish, or a tourist. The food, actually, is quite horrible, and they actually ask you if you would like your spaghetti "parmed." Think about that. The owner is one hell of a nice guy and a great community participant, but that is NOT Italian food.
