  1. Take away Josh Allen and McDermott is just Dick Jauron: The Next Generation.
  2. It has been theorized by many that Allen has been struggling with some kind of shoulder injury this season. Apparent confirmation here: FWIW CJ Caggiano is a reputable insider, I've followed him for a while. Every year he has schedule leaks that turn out to be correct, and he has given a couple injury updates that turned out to be correct as well. Take the info how you will, but if true it could possibly explain some of the recent mechanical issues Allen has had on some of his throws.
  3. I am beyond tired of the national hand-wringing about that play. It was THERE. I've actually heard fans argue that what Allen SHOULD have done is to just keep picking up small chunks, and then score a TD with just a few seconds left on the clock. As though you can script something like that perfectly. Then there is a holding penalty, or sack, or turnover, or you just can't get in the endzone. Allen saw Shakir wide open for 6, and he went for it. And, as we all know, if Chris Jones gets there a half second later, that's a TD and we're likely up by 4. I'm like, is that the best that you've got, Allen haters? The guy plays a great game, should have had at least 100 more yards and another TD if his receivers could hang onto the ball - and you're saying "same ol' Allen" because he went for an OPEN TOUCHDOWN. And I hope Mahomes throws 3 picks this week so we can all see the double-standard. It won't be nearly as analyzed and dissected.
  4. "Keon Coleman makes cath from Josh Allen on a slant in shorts" The Bills are winning the SB 🤣
  5. I see so many comps to Rivers & the Chargers now. Great QB, good team - but can never get over the hump. Maybe I can't get past my own bias, but I see Allen as an all-time great. Rivers was never that. It's so hard for me to imagine that Allen won't get over the hump at some point and win at least 1 title. The comparisons I prefer are Peyton Manning, who was owned by the Patriots until he wasn't, and Michael Jordan, who lost to the Pistons 3 times in the playoffs before finally besting his nemesis and moving on to become a 6-title legend. And if you were around at those times, you'll remember that the narratives were the same for Manning & Jordan as they are for Allen right now. Jim Kelly didn't start going to Super Bowls until he was in his 30's. There is so much hand-wringing about Allen in the media about "will he ever?" and all that. He's 27.
  6. Can't get a better mentor or role model at QB. https://www.facebook.com/reel/406118371862602
  7. I have been an Allen supporter since he was drafted. I felt he was a perfect fit for the city. He is in year 6 of his career and has put up fairly consistent stats the last 3 years. Have we seen his best football or can he be better? By better I mean 5000+ passing yards and 50+ total tds. I personally believe he has hit his ceiling. I think he is what he is and I think we can win a Super Bowl with him playing at this level. I am just curios what others opinions are as to what they expect from him the rest of his career.
  8. I think we will see the best Josh Allen next year. MVP season.
  9. I thought it was Josh's worst season as a passer since 2019, period. I think Josh Allen has to be better in 2024 than he was in 2023 for the Bills to win the division again.
  10. It comes down to Josh Allen. Josh Allen is Patrick Mahomes equal in the postseason. The only difference is the Chiefs around him step up in those moments, whereas the Bills around JA do not. Where they are not equal is the regular season. Mahomes, last season was a bit off, but is typically very steady. High levels of play with a high floor. Josh Allen has high levels of play, but will have games where he is literally the reason we lost. That can't happen this year. Tough schedule and we need Josh Allen elevating that regular season floor.
  11. Josh Allen completed 30% of his 20+ air yards throws in the 2023 season.
  12. I was just perusing the list of most touchdowns in a single season in NFL history They have the top 20 on the list... Our very own Josh Allen makes four appearances inside the top 20 for most touchdowns scored in a single season He's not even 28 years old yet! Absolutely not in the prime of his career... And he is almost 20% of a legendary list Josh Allen is going to have the most touchdowns in NFL history
  13. None of us who realize there are two Josh Allens playing would be worried about it. It's interesting that LB Josh Allen isn't very far behind QB Josh Allen in annual salary. But QB Josh Allen will likely have a much longer career. LB s wear out quicker.
  14. Stuff like that happened more often before we got Josh Allen.
  15. Josh Allen won't play in an offense anchored around one double-teamed Diggs. Teams won't double any Bills receiver. Josh Allen will have multiple receiving options to throw to each play--one will become open. Kincaid will be even better. James Cook's running game will be stout.
  16. Give me a break. His point was argumentative and dramatic. You could make a case for other personnel who are holding Josh Allen back. To say that Tyler Bass is the reason Josh Allen is being held back, is highly questionable.
  17. I bet Josh Allen could mystify him easily (seriously for those who don't remember, Josh Allen learned to do card and other magic tricks in college)
  18. Their employment with the Bills is totally Josh Allen's call at this point.
  19. 12-5 and win the AFC East. Josh Allen is that good.
