Bills QB Josh Allen becoming a must-watch player
zow2 replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't live in WNY anymore, but I can tell you that Josh Allen is not yet a must-watch amongst the average NFL fan. He's not talked about much outside of WNY or the hardcore NFL media types. People know of him, but they aren't fascinated by Josh Allen like they are Baker or Lamar Jackson...or now Daniel Jones. If Josh looks great this weekend and the Bills beat New England, that will change. -
TNF 8:20pm : Eagles (1-2) @ Packers (3-0)

Good Thursday night game. Thought there’d be more D. And I actually made a good call for once in starting Jordan Howard in fantasy. -

When you break down a pass play with super slo mo it’s so easy to see the most Ticky tack stuff. Seems like some crews will reverse a call, some might stay with the call on the field if you can’t see PI with the naked eye in real time -
I agree for the most part. There are other factors too. But I have season tickets for another major team (not in Buffalo) and since mobile-only tickets have been introduced my ability to sell the tix has been greatly hampered. Buyers are gone.

Josh Allen - Draft night retrospect
zow2 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm curious how Allen's QB passer rating inside the pocket stacks up this year against the other young QB's (5 years or less). Last season i believe he was 2nd last of 16 guys. This year Josh looks much better and is hanging in there to scan the D as long as possible. As for this thread, i was hoping Darnold would be there. All i knew about Allen was that he was another big arm, no big game experience, raw talent. -
So Tom Brady loves playing in Buffalo!
zow2 replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This actually works against us. Tom gets so amped up to win in Orchard Park in the frenzied atmosphere. He’s a super competitive dude as we all know. Lets face it, he probably could not care less playing in miami. There’s no juice in that stadium. And after Rex left NYC, there’s not much rivalry between the Jets and Pats and Jets fans bring nothing to the table. They certainly don’t jump through tables! -
What can be expected against New England?
zow2 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These Pats games in Buffalo always have the same script. Bills are fired up, fans are fired up, it's loud, etc.. BUT, the Patriots always dink and dunk their way down the field..lot's of Edelman, 8 yards here, 12 yards there,..No one even sniffs Brady let alone touch him.. a few sweeps to Michel or James White... 5 yds, 7 yds, ... then Brady hits a back shoulder throw to someone in the end zone. That's gotta change this weekend. -
Bojorquez isn't going anywhere as long as Hausch-money is kicking well and feels chemistry with his holder. Unlike last year you don’t mess with it unless the dude is shanking 30-yarders all over the place

Jeremy White (WGR) heartbreakingly loses all 4 babies
zow2 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall Archives
He still has his pinned tweet up about the pregnancy and he's been active retweeting random stuff in the past day. Does anyone outside the radio station or his family really know when the guy does or doesn't have scheduled time off? Things are probably fine. I know when my wife was pregnant w/ twins I was allowed to work from home whenever i needed to.. Of course, i didn't host a radio show either... -
Great segment by Kyle Brandt. Way to go Knox!

NFL's newest franchise QB: Daniel Jones
zow2 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I predict Daniel Jones comes down to earth a bit this weekend. There's film on him, no Saquan, and a winless wounded animal is coming to town in the Redskins. I think Washington beats NY in this one. -
Thats true. And the Pats have played Miami, no QB Jets and a dead arm Roethlisberger. Sample size is still too small for all the 3-0 teams. But hey. It’s the NFL, a win is a win. Power rankings don’t matter.

They want Haskins to play in DC but probably not fair to throw the kid in against the Bears D
-
This Looks exactly like Petermans last start w the Bills vs Chicago. Too much Bears D
-
Twice now the Skins have made a good play on offense only to have it blow up( dropped pass, penalty). On the very next play a disastrous turnover leads to a Bears TD. Rough night in Suburban DC

Horrible Harry (Harrison Phillips) out for the year...ACL

ESPN: Bills have the best defense in football
zow2 replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Belichek always manages to confuse our offense or throw different wrinkles at them. NOw he has a very good D so that's a bit worrisome this week. Hey, how about the Bills staff come up with a few wrinkles to confuse ol' Tom and company ?!?!? -
McDermott takes it to another level again!
zow2 replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love McD, but can he come up with something different to say in the lockerroom after victories?! "This team has heart man"!! -
Yep. I was watching w my son and told him a few times to watch for a flag on the Bills when i saw them hold, but it never came. They did let stuff go on both sides.

Yesterday, the clock seemed off in Josh's head. Maybe Cinci had him fooled on several plays, but he can't be running backwards like that. Last season, he would take off too early, but it was effective. He had huge chunk runs off those scrambles. This year he's hanging in the pocket as long as possible. It's helped his completion %, but eventually he's succumbing to the pressure. His big arm won't bail him out every time.
-
There was a play yesterday where Oliver was getting double teamed, he broke through and the Bengals guy had his entire arm around Oliver's chest/neck holding him. I was like sheesh, hope they're letting that stuff go for BOTH teams.
-
The NE defense hasn’t given up a TD yet this year. But 2 of those games were the Dolphins and Jets w no quarterback.
-
That’s fine. I’m happy. I was responding as to why PFT and other sites aren’t lauding the Bills. Buts let’s face it. They snuck by the Jets and Bengals with no room to spare. New England is a 7 point favorite in our house. Time to prove it to the nation.
-
Bills offense is still pop-gun. Until they can stretch the field and hit some big plays they won’t get much national respect for being 3-0. The national media love the big TD’s and high passing numbers
-
Josh sucked today. I’m sorry. He looked like Tyree Allen. In his first ever start, Daniel Jones looks better. But it’s one game and he will improve
