  1. I have Allen and Bass too. If Allan can't pass, he can still get points running. Weather doesn't sound that bad either
  2. Are there even going to be many people there to throw them? With a 3-10 team out of the playoffs, game on Christmas eve, then throw in the weather, can't imagine that many Bear fans would even go.
  3. I do find it kind of amazing how so many people today don't seem to know what an antenna even is! And that they actually work. My main TV reception is an antenna mounted inside my screened in porch distributed 4 TV's and TIVO which is also distributed to minis in the same 4 rooms via ethernet. Then have You Tube TV for special cable channels, ESPN, NFL, etc. to all TV's Will be ready for next year for ST
  4. This season agree, past couple not so much. NE last year was decent, but probably not quite as good as their record appeared.
  5. Damm Weather! To the point of "eat your heart out Tom Brady". I do wonder what Brady's record was as just as Allen has gone up against a weak AFC east, so did Brady over the years. Actually his record against he Bills was 33-3, 9032 yards, 32 TD, 25 Int's
  6. Certainly agree long term, but think they felt the team would be in strong contention for the next year or two. But the wheels came off fast.
  7. I was on one of them too. Flight was extremely smooth all the way from Atlanta to Vegas, till about the last 20 minutes on decent. Thought the one wing tip was going to hit the runway as we touched down. My wife was the opposite, she thought the entire flight was smooth, when I mentioned something about the landing she was like what are you talking about. I do wonder how the Bills will get back to Buffalo as heard the airport is closed till Sunday evening.
  8. Agree I was just listing the top 3 picks, my point was 1 and 3 were busts. I'll go back and edit to clarify that! Agree I was just listing the top 3 picks, my point was 1 and 3 were busts. I'll go back and edit to clarify that!
  9. Not sure there is a state in the county large enough to build a monument for all the bust QB's in the NFL! Look at the first three picks in 1999 draft alone: Tim Couch, McNabb (great pick), Akili Smith. The Bengals could probably almost have their own monument when you add Smith 3rd overall, David Klinger 6th overall, and Jack Thomson 3rd overall
  10. so for that to be true, they needed to beat the Bills next week and KC loses another game, but even then it would be a 3 way tie for best record so could come down to record in common games which appears Bengals would be 2-0 and Bills 1-1 and Chiefs 0-2 But overall think a better chance of Titans Jags being the game
  11. Likely will either be Titans - Jags or Bengals - Ravens. Good chance Titans lose to Cowgirls so could be dead even going into last game, but if we beat Bengals same thing in North, though both teams would still make playoffs. Think they like it too if the night game mixes up all the playoff matchups too as loser of that game could end up anywhere from 5th to 7th seed especially if loser is Ravens. Where as Jags Titans, loser goes home.
  12. Too often DTV service went out whenever weather was bad. And then there's the price. If I could have got ST without, DTV over sat, would have stuck with them. At least prior to ATT takeover DTV was more willing to deal and give you good offers. But think once ATT was in charge they told them you can't keep giving it away like you were. Which is why they didn't even really want it anymore as ATT has realized it's a financial loser.
  13. Almost 2 hour flight, likely took more time due to wind
  14. I'm assuming he's referring to the many free but illegal streams. Not that I'm not above using them, but they are more of a pain than a free legal method
  15. Yes there are many free options, but they all more of a pain to implement and sometimes don't work flawlessly, ie: spooking IP, using illegal streaming sites. As someone who lives outside the western NY viewing area I've used these methods to watch any and all games and while they've always ultimately worked, it's not without some fussing. Overall the answer will be depends on the price, if they make it real expensive then would still use the other methods, but I'd pay maybe $300 to $400 for the convenience.
  16. Behind a paywall https://theathletic.com/4005716/2022/12/22/patrick-mahomes-josh-allen-nfl-sportsperson/ Some comments: It wasn’t a matter of if the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Bills’ Josh Allen would secure their places among the league’s elite quarterbacks, but instead simply a matter of when. Meanwhile, with an assist from Father Time, Mahomes and Allen have knocked Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers from their long-held perches. Remarkably, NFL talent evaluators didn’t regard either as the top prospects at their position coming out of college.
  17. I think many fans, media, etc don't take Hurts completely serious as a QB as with him it's mostly about his running more than passing, same with Jackson. I also think many people around still view Mahomes as the best QB in the league, mainly because of some of the games he's won and some of his crazy type passes that he completes. But overall do think Allen is the most exciting as he can make passes and runs no one else is able to do.
  18. Someone actually needs to get hurt for that to happen which could end up that way. You put anyone on IR after this weekend, he's not coming back till the 3rd playoff game. Don't know how they count that if Bills do get the bye. I assume it's still two weeks of games played as byes don't count in regular season. He'd be a logical one if they want to pick a defensive player. When the initial 53 roster was picked in August, seem to recall was 25 each side of the ball, plus 3 ST. Don't know what the ratio is today, looks like they do have one more defensive players, but also need to cut someone after this week for Benford to come back. Lewis would be the logical one there.
  19. So who are you going to cut to do that?
  20. Not likely Beasley is ever placed on the 53 man roster as he gets two more call ups from PS and only 3 games left. Likely he just sits out one game and instead they use Browns last call up. Once playoffs start unlimited call ups so again no need. On a related question, does a vested vet like Brown or Beasley get a big bump in pay for any games they are called up for? Like vet min based on years in league or something??
  21. In other news Sunday Ticket has been renamed to Saturday Ticket!
  22. The guy drafted by Denver then traded last year to Seattle as part of the Wilson trade??
  23. He's been inconsistent, some games pretty good, other games bad, but the posters who want something to complain about, will view every game as poor. There's another whole thread about the line and how terrible he is and needs to be replaced next season.
  24. Every off season you read many posts here, imagine if we had a TE like Kelse. Well yeah but around 28 other teams are saying the same and many of those have early draft picks who could easily grab that guy, but to no avail. Him and the guy in SF and maybe Pitts appear to be unicorns, but after that there's some mini unicorns, maybe Knox is one of them and a large number of Tyler Kroft, Hooper types. Who was the FA TE the Bills signed 6 or 7 years ago from Miami who was going to be great, but ended up being average.
  25. As was pointed out in one of the articles I read yesterday, Elam and Jackson kept rotating 2 series each, then the other one. But at the end of the game, when it should have been Jackson's turn, they stuck with Elam.
