Josh Allen's waning confidence and mental yips
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree more with LeGOATski, seems more over confidence and thinks he can throw it anywhere and get away with it. Doesn't seem like lack of confidence to me at all. -
2020 Feeling More Like Major Missed Opportunity
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't know if this has been brought up but last season when we lost to Jax, was also the first Sunday in November. If I'm Beane I'm asking the NFL schedule makers to give us a bye the weekend of Nov 5, 2023! -
What if 2 CB's work up this morning with food poisoning or the flu or trip and hurt themselves getting onto the bus? Likely no, but If they really needed him, likely he could have played so have him available. Also as others have pointed out, gets him use to pre-game routine and back into weekly flow

Guess I'll have to try Paramount again then, though You Tube also seems to works fine.

The point is that some of the best WR in the league have worse numbers than Davis does. So that means your concerns are completely unrealistic. Why doesn't Allen have an 80% completion percentage. It's never been done in the history of the NFL, but so what, we're not talking about what are realistic expectations, so why start now.

Brandon Beane press conference 11/2
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
So there'd be an advantage to the Bills to not activate him at all this season if not really needed, or marginal if he'll be close to 100% -
Bills run game improvement: Weeks 1-4 compared to Weeks 5-8
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Think it's a combo of more 21 personal, plus O-line has had more time to jell, i.e. Bates has gotten more use to playing on opposite side and teams are playing more to defend the pass, so making running easier -

I guess those photos I have of Dan and sheep won't carry much value anymore. -
If you have two homes, may want instead to consider You Tube TV as can use in both locations. I'm in that situation and that was why I went with it. Get locals at both places and all the other national channels. Beleive though the answer to your question is no you won't be able use Spectrum to watch Bills games when out of area. But you could use Spectrum or You Tube and spoof your IP address so it thinks you're in Buffalo all the time. That does work with You Tube.

I know there's two different versions of Paramount, one more costly. To watch live TV i.e. Bills games, you need the more costly version. Yeah the VPN deal then use you Tube TV to watch. @Bills4ever Can you still get it to work with Paramount? Seemed like late last season Id open up Paramount, it would list the local Buffalo CBS station in the guide, but as soon as I'd click on it would revert to my actual location. You Tube seems to work fine

Terry McLaurin Catch v. DJ Moore Catch
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah thought they could have called that on the Diggs TD. But at the time the ref may have viewed it as trying to dislodge the ball to void the catch, or at that point he took his eyes off Diggs and didn't see it. Will be interesting to see if he gets fined even though no call, that can still happen. As for consistency, all were different crews each with different levels of what they call or don't call. -
That's why the Bears rarely make the playoffs!

Then after the game he said Diggs is a decent receiver. Wish I were a reporter, at that point I'd have asked him well if Diggs is only decent and he had 6 catches for 108 yards and a TD, what will really good receivers do against him? He'd probably beat the hell out of me for saying that. Hopefully would have been an online interview. LOL Yeah I was kind of thinking the same.

Sounds like you need to see an eye doctor! Having said that think the rules are kind of dumb. If it was ruled an int, then there automatically is a review (very likely had been over turned) but since wasn't an int, then no automatic review. And in last two minutes coach can't throw flag. It's kind of a Catch-22

Number of years back was in a restaurant and they had a fried fish special. Asked what kind of fish it was and the waitress said: "It's that Polack" Me and the guy I was with busted out laughing and she just looked at us like what's the problem. She was completely serious as to what she said, didn't think anything was wrong.

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you're arguing that we have depth at WR it's with the guy you're trying to get off the field, McKenzie. And he's not going to be a good replacement for either a Davis or a Diggs as an outside guy. Where as at RB we have 4 guys all likely able to produce fairly similar results if actually committed to running the ball which I think is the biggest issue we really don't try to run all that much which is fine considering the success the team has a passing. We have 4 including Duke Johnson, as I stated above similar abilities IF given the chance. We don't try that hard to run the ball and seems whenever one of the RB's (or McKenzie) makes a mistake fumbles etc, they are yanked. Likely practices center on the passing game at a higher percent of time than running does too. The Bills are a passing team first and for most so depth at WR is more important than adding a RB who very likely won't even be active barring injury to one of the present players On the other hand they could add a WR who'd potentially be active on game days and could contribute, Jeudy, Cooks, OBJ. With CMC traded and add in the Giants winning Barkley isn't going anywhere, the only RB left that maybe could have the same impact as some of the WR's I mentioned is Montgomery or maybe Hunt. Overall I'd much prefer to see them trade either for a WR or O-line, or even safety. -

Last game the Bills went with three TE's active. May have also been the first game all year all three were actually healthy so the Bills could even consider doing that. But if they do that again this Sunday, 2 weeks is a trend. It also seemed to work pretty well having two TE's on the field at once. If the active game day roster includes; 3 TE's, 5 WR, 8 OL, 2 QB, 1 FB, that leaves room for 3 RB's including Jones. Doubt the team is going to sit out either Singletary or Cook for an Akers type level player. So why would the Bills even consider trading away a draft pick for a player who very likely wouldn't even be active barring injury? Add in that the team currently has 4 RB all of a skill level similar to Akers and yes am including Moss in there. The Bills passing game is so good, it doesn't make much sense to try and run all that much add to that they also don't seem to really commit much effort to their running game. So when an RB goes into the game and makes a mistake or has very limited success, his next stop seems to be the bench which doesn't help players all that much . I'm really not all the convinced if they really made an effort and stuck with someone that Moss also couldn't succeed. -
Recall last winter You Tube TV had similar issue with local channels being removed for contract dispute. I was traveling up in PA at the time, think it was the local CBS or Fox station. So no one is immune to this. I have you tube TV as own two houses in different locations so one way to have one TV package including locals usable in two locations. Also is one of the better packages WRT available sports stations

So what was the story about Adam Schefter banning bills fans? Hadn't hard about that. -

I think the opposite, have more need for WR than RB as the Bills are a passing team first and don't prioritize running the ball so whomever is back there, outside of S Barkley or CMC 2 RB's rumored at one point to be available, not sure adding a guy like Akers is going to make any difference. Looking at Rookie stats Akers and Moss weren't all that different IMO so how much of an upgrade is he? The Bills have 4 guys including D Johnson who likely can all do about the same if called upon and really given the chance, but as much as the Bills pass the ball successfully running is never going to be worked on all that much. My guess is during practice too passing is worked on a larger amount of time and with limited practice time these days hard to be good at it. -
Wonder if it was a case last spring/summer, she told him if you come back I'm leaving you, but he just figured, she'll get over it, she's just mad right now.
