The Bills were pretty chippy themselves at times.
I am not offended by it. The Chiefs have a few unlikables on their team, for sure, but have you checked the Tampa Bay roster? Brady, Gronk, Brown, Suh, etc. They are full of unlikeable characters.
He isn't that good and hasn't been for years now. Nobody is willing to pay him, including the Bills. He keeps signing prove it deals and never proves anything.
I am not in favor of signing him. And I never have been.
Both guys had serious caveats. Goff never showed he could carry his team. He was clearly a system QB and always folded when it was on him to get a win.
Wentz was injured all the time.
Guys like Mahomes, Watson, Brees, Brady, and Wilson all have no trade clauses. I think Garoppolo has one too.
Well that's his perspective, but I guarantee you not everyone feels the way he does. Each player's path to the NFL is different. We can't just say that all of them experienced it the same.
Absolutely there are some dark things about football, and any other billion dollar industry. Making money often requires exploiting people.
He was supremely gifted physically.
I don't care for him, personally. I used to like him until I discovered how narcissistic he is. Those joint practices with the Panthers really made me dislike him with how cocky he was. And then he didn't even play the game.
Cam was never a great passer. He had a big arm, but couldn't throw with accuracy or touch. He also is nothing special at reading defenses or dissecting coverages. He has relied on his amazing athletic abilities and now really done much of anything to improve as a QB. He isn't driven like Josh Allen. He is completely full of himself and blames everyone else for his own failures. Injuries are just a small part of the problem with he him.
In short, he is nothing like Josh Allen. Allen isn't the best QB in the NFL, but he works as hard as anyone and knows how to improve. He is drive. To succeed. He is supremely gifted physically but doesn't rely on that. He is constantly trying to get better. Newton has never been like that.
I guess the theory is that Stafford has been held back by his crappy organization and that Goff has been propped up by the rest of the team and McVay.
But I'm guessing the truth is somewhere in the middle for both players. I don't see this changing the Rams significantly.
