  1. Man, I can't get enough of this. Players having fun, scoring points, fighting hard. 20 years ... worth the wait.
  2. It was not one thing. - Separated shoulder - We barely had the ball against two good offenses during that stretch - Defenses dared us to run and we couldn't run, so they played with defensive backs all over the field - Defenses were disguising coverage and throwing new looks at Josh out of respect for his game - The whole team just flat out played poorly for a few games, which affects offensive momentum - John Brown was injured - Bad weather
  3. The "$20 Million" thing is really ridiculous and misleading. $20 Million is 10% of the current cap. 10 years ago the salary cap was $120 Million. 10% of that is $12M. 20 years ago the salary cap was $60 Million. 10% of that is $6M. Peyton Manning made $15M in 2015. He won the super bowl. The cap was $143M that year. Do the math. The only reason your skewed statistic is even close to correct is that Tom Brady won so many times and he had a team friendly contract. Can we close this thread?
  4. Agreed on this big time. The Head Coach gets all the credit/blame for challenges, but he has a team in his ear telling him whether to challenge or not. Whomever our person is, he/she is not good enough. This is less a reflection on McDermott and more on the challenge specialist. Time for a change.
  5. Nathaniel Hackett: No prior legit experience before 2013 ... "quality control" for a few NFL teams and Syracuse QBs and Tight Ends Coach. 2013 Buffalo Bills O-Coordinator: Bills rank 22nd in total offense, followed by 18th. 29th in passing. Then he quits on his team and opts out of his contract. Nice. 2015 after failing to land another O-Coordinator job, he latches on as Jaguars O-Line coach. 2015 Jaguars rank 14th in offense, but he's barely involved. 2016 Doug Marrone, the snake, finds a way to weasel his way into Head Coach and promotes his buddy Nate Hackett. Jaguars rank 25th in total offense. 2017 Nate Hackett is the O-Coordinator again. Jaguars rank 5th in total offense! (His only good year, despite buddy'ing up with offensive minded HC's) 2018 Nate Hackett tries to build on his success as O-Coordinator and Jaguars end up ranking 31st in total offense. His buddy Doug Marrone fires him. 2019 Nate Hackett is somehow hired by Green Bay Packers as their O-Coordinator. They go from 14th ranking in NFL the previous year to a whopping 15th with Aaron Rodgers as QB. I love this story because it shows Nate Hackett following offensive minded coaches everywhere he goes and then failing. I sincerely hope that he becomes an NFL Head Coach somewhere because that's just one more team we can count on failing.
  6. Low risk, high reward if we can get him for cheap ($1M-$3M). I don't see any reason not to use him as a situational pass rusher on long passing downs. Seems like we could really use that.
  7. Nope. He has been a safeties coach for a few years and outside linebackers coach for one year. Unless his daddy pulls some strings, he isn't even close to being ready.
  8. Agreed on this. If we could find a team to take him while he still has “upside” it would be a dream. He’s embarrassing out there.
  9. This is quite possibly the worst take ever. The #1 priority for every single NFL franchise is to draft a great QB and keep him until he retires. I just looked at the last 20 years of Super Bowl winners and 17 of them had a good veteran Franchise QB at the helm. Bad take.
  10. Perhaps you missed the part where I wrote in bold that I do not think all of those players should be cut.
  11. We obviously don't feel great about some of the recent D-Line signings, but I was encouraged by some of the opt-out clauses that can help save us IF we decide to start over. Trent Murphy - $9,775,000 - this comes off the books at the end of the year, no penalty Mario Addison - $9,968,75 - two years left after this year, but we can terminate his contract with only $4M penalty Jerry Hughes - $9,500,000 - one year left after this year, but we can terminate his contract with only $2.1M penalty Vernon Butler - $7,368,750, one year left after this year, but we can terminate his contract with only $1M penalty Quinton Jefferson - $6,906,250, one year left after this year, but we can terminate his contract with only $1.5M penalty So, as bad as some of these guys have looked, we aren't completely stuck with any of them. It's incredible to see that we have $43.5 Million tied up in these guys per year... but we can completely hit the reset button if we want by eating only $8.6M in dead cap. Not saying we should cut every one of these players. I just thought this was a nice silver lining to what seems to be a few bad signings.
  12. Let's pretend for a moment that you are an NFL GM. Would you pay a reporter to report a fake story and risk that they tell everyone you're lying? Or, would you simply leak fake information to the reporter and pretend it's true? The answer, clearly, is always the latter. Case closed.
  13. Call me crazy, but I think losing a playoff game after taking a 16-0 lead is more disappointing than losing to a 2-5 team in the division.
  14. 1) we don’t have the cap space for him 2) he’s overpaid 3) it makes zero sense to have two $20+MM corners 4) he’s not worth a 1st round pick
  15. Bro I’ve been meaning to say, your delts have been looking more swole than Macaulay Culkin in My Girl. Keep up those gains dude. - Uses Ranch on his wings - Doesn’t know all the words to Shout - Can’t name a single member of the Sabres organization - Thinks Anchor Bar has the best wings in Buffalo - Left the game before the Bills came back against the Oilers THIS GUY STINKS
  16. When’s the last time he has actually hit one inside the 5....
  17. Chiefs and Dolphins make way more sense than Bills. Maybe 2% chance he signs here.
  18. I know we've mentioned this before, but guys ... very, very rarely do you see a rookie DE come in and dominate. This kid is 22 years old and he's playing against grown men. He has a big frame and we know he can put on the weight. I pulled up the stats of a few former Bills for comparison: Bruce Smith's rookie year (22 years old): 6.5 sacks Aaron Schobel's rookie year (24 years old): 6.5 sacks Jerry Hughes's first 3 years TOTAL: 5 sacks Kyle Williams first 3 years TOTAL: 4 sacks Mario Williams rookie year: 4.5 sacks Is this a Buffalo BIlls phenomenon? Nope. JJ Watt had 5.5 sacks his rookie year and 20.5 his second year. TJ Watt had 7 sacks his rookie year and 13 his second year. It takes time. We won't know what we have in Epenesa until year 2. Don't worry too much about the weight... it's his first year doing 24/7 weight training, professionally.
  19. Running back is the least of our problems and leveon bell is just an “oh I know that name, sign him” player. Everybody needs to stop bringing him up like it would actually fix anything. Singletary and Moss are a great 1-2 punch. We just can’t block. It will get better when Feliciano comes back.
  20. nice to see the overreaction people have already come to play
  21. What a brutal game. Need some heart on defense and the O-line needs to learn how to run block. Those are the two big ones. The penalties and lack of discipline get a pass from me because we haven’t seen that all season. Hopefully just a bad game.
  22. So... based on what I'm reading... everyone is ready to give up on Jake Fromm? A 5th round pick who literally nobody has seen play yet because there was no pre-season? Cool.
  23. Anybody saying they knew DK Metcalf would be legit hopefully also recognizes that he was an insanely risky pick and extremely unlikely to do the things he’s currently doing. He had basically zero college production. His 3 cone drill was worse than some O-linemen’s, meaning he couldn’t change direction at all. Changing direction is kind of important in route running. He had problems with injuries. Theres a reason he slipped to the end of the second round. He had BUST written all over him. Instead, he turned out to be great. Just like Josh Allen and Russel Wilson, people had their concerns and they were wrong. End of story.
  24. Allow Kim and Terry Pegula to give the Titans the "Bud Adams Cheer" after we beat them 41-17.
  25. What is the opposite of a jinx? I'd like to do that right now please.
