I know we've mentioned this before, but guys ... very, very rarely do you see a rookie DE come in and dominate. This kid is 22 years old and he's playing against grown men. He has a big frame and we know he can put on the weight. I pulled up the stats of a few former Bills for comparison: Bruce Smith's rookie year (22 years old): 6.5 sacks Aaron Schobel's rookie year (24 years old): 6.5 sacks Jerry Hughes's first 3 years TOTAL: 5 sacks Kyle Williams first 3 years TOTAL: 4 sacks Mario Williams rookie year: 4.5 sacks Is this a Buffalo BIlls phenomenon? Nope. JJ Watt had 5.5 sacks his rookie year and 20.5 his second year. TJ Watt had 7 sacks his rookie year and 13 his second year. It takes time. We won't know what we have in Epenesa until year 2. Don't worry too much about the weight... it's his first year doing 24/7 weight training, professionally.

Running back is the least of our problems and leveon bell is just an “oh I know that name, sign him” player. Everybody needs to stop bringing him up like it would actually fix anything. Singletary and Moss are a great 1-2 punch. We just can’t block. It will get better when Feliciano comes back.

What a brutal game. Need some heart on defense and the O-line needs to learn how to run block. Those are the two big ones. The penalties and lack of discipline get a pass from me because we haven’t seen that all season. Hopefully just a bad game.

Anybody saying they knew DK Metcalf would be legit hopefully also recognizes that he was an insanely risky pick and extremely unlikely to do the things he’s currently doing. He had basically zero college production. His 3 cone drill was worse than some O-linemen’s, meaning he couldn’t change direction at all. Changing direction is kind of important in route running. He had problems with injuries. Theres a reason he slipped to the end of the second round. He had BUST written all over him. Instead, he turned out to be great. Just like Josh Allen and Russel Wilson, people had their concerns and they were wrong. End of story.

I appreciate the enthusiasm. Personally, I don’t like to jinx good things until they’ve been proven over a long period of time. A lot of players in the NFL look great for several games and then regress down to nothing. Look at Wentz this season. I’m hopeful that Josh Allen is our franchise quarterback for the next decade+ but I’m not ready to shout it from the mountain tops. That type of bi-polar fandom often gets people in trouble.

This is the mentality that didn’t work for 20 years. Build a young core and let it grow. At this point, you should just recognize you were wrong and move forward.

I love how now that we’ve won some games everyone is shocked that we don’t have all-pro’s at every position and aren’t the greatest team in the NFL. Trust. The. Process. This is not a one season team. We don’t need to sign a bunch of expensive vets who don’t want to be in Buffalo. Draft and re-sign our guys.

The immediate production despite a crowded and talented WR room, coupled with all of the training camp hype definitely has me excited. When you think about some of our WR bust picks (Hardy, Zay, Graham, etc.), Gabe has already outperformed all of them. It’s a very exciting time to be a Bills fan.

Yes, the refs were terrible all game. However, they gave us a potential game winner at the end of the game with that pass interference. Was it pass interference? Technically, yeah, but they could have easily not called it. That was a the make-up call we needed to feel ok about the whole game. The INT call was terrible, but we were about to punt anyway. That 4th down would have been game over with a no-call.

A+ Fourth quarter comeback. Five touchdowns. Overcame an awful call and a momentum shift. Bailed his defense out. Oh, and his O-Line was getting absolutely destroyed at the end of the game and he still made it happen on several third and long plays. Did he make a few mistakes? Yes. That doesn’t invalidate all of the points above.

Crazy thought here, but maybe we let Norman play one game in the system where he was an All-Pro before calling it quits on him and trading for someone else?

It's crazy how much love he's getting this early. He's basically the same age as Josh Allen because he was a 5 year red shirt QB with 4 full years college experience in the SEC. Of course he's going to look good in his first year. This is the exact same story as Baker Mayfield and exact same results first year. Week 1 he was 23/36 for 0 TD's and 1 INT. It's not like he's lighting the world on fire. He had a good game and it happened to be on a Thursday night.
