  1. There’s nothing more annoying than a fan of ANY team celebrating a victory before a game is played. That’s also a guaranteed way to jinx your team. Either way, yikes.
  2. Mike Williams is a free agent after this year - there's $20M Linval Joseph is a free agent after this year - there $5-10M Chris Harris is a free agent after this year - there's $5-10M These cap figures are deceptive because if a good player is rolling off of a contract, they're counted as zero. However, just to have the same team you had this year, you need to pay MORE to get these players back. The Bills don't have a lot of cap space because they've done a good job of extending guys and not letting them hit free agency.
  3. I think he's definitely valuable, but you can't pay everyone. If he's willing to take a cheap deal, go for it. We need to do a better job of investing in the CB position in the draft though, soon. Not enough quality depth. Rounds 3-7 would love to see at least another 1-2.
  4. Man.... Whatever happens in this game, these message boards are going to be annoying on Monday. If we win it will be "GARANTEED SUPERBOWL, MAHOMS SUX" and if we lose it will be "JOSH WIL NEVR BE MAHOMS, GIVE UP" ...
  5. I know nothing about the team or this guy, but if he's just a bad radio host and annoying to the GM and the fans, they were probably fed up and got rid of him. We're taking his own word that the sole reason he got fired is because he said something bad about the GM. This reminds me of the Buffalo News situation where the writers were constantly bemoaning the Bills and it got really annoying for both the fans and ownership. I remember them publishing an article about how being a rabid fan is a "sickness" the day after the Bills had the biggest victory in 20 years. The Pegulas are rumored to have gotten them fired after that, but realistically, nobody wanted to hear their doom and gloom poor reporting anymore. This has nothing to do with freedom of speech. He works for a company and they thought he was doing a bad job so they got rid of him. If he was valuable, he wouldn't be fired.
  6. One of the nice things we've all noticed is when Brady does well and the Patriots do poorly, it increases the chatter the Bill Belichick is NOT the greatest coach of all time. The word "fraud" is even used. Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time. Him winning or losing a few extra games doesn't matter at this point. Belichick LOSING matters. Bills being #1 in the division matters. It's an easy call. Root for the Bucs.
  7. Not sure if you watched the Super Bowl last year, but the Bucs held the Chiefs to 9 points. MAHOMES OVERRATED? TIME TO PANIC? OFFENSE NOT CLICKING? LOOK AT PAST 3 GAMES, THEY ARE 1-2. 😑
  8. If we didn't just finish an entire season of Offensive dominance, these would be legitimate concerns. The overreaction to only winning 35-0 against a tough division opponent just because Josh didn't look great is insane. The "4 games" you reference were against: Ravens: #1 ranked defense in 2020 Chiefs: #13 ranked defense in 2020 Steelers: Top 3 defense in 2021 Miami: Top 10 defense in 2021 Pat Mahomes almost got beaten in week 1 and got beaten in week 2. Aaron Rodgers got embarrassed in week 1. Teams lose sometimes and ... stick with me here ... good defenses don't make it easy to score. The sky is not falling.
  9. The defense looked incredible yesterday. No debate. The offense did not look incredible yesterday. No debate. For those who can't enjoy a 35-0 win and are caught up on the offense looking bad, keep this in mind: The Bills brought back essentially all of the same Offensive players, same coordinators, and same QB that lit up the league last year. Going into the season, the team had a few unknowns: - Would Greg Rousseau be able to make an impact in his rookie year? (yes) - Would AJ Epenesa be able to take a step forward? (yes) - Would Star Lotulelei and Ed Oliver be able to have a come-back season? (so far, yes) - Would the CB2 position be solid, rather than a liability? (so far, yes) - Would the run game be able to be improved (so far, yes) - Would the offensive line improve? (so far, no, but it's the exact same players as last year) The passing game will get figured out. Lets just enjoy the win and progress in virtually all of the areas fans were worried about. Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders, Cole Beasley, and Gabe Davis don't all of a sudden stink. 👍
  10. This is a crazy thought, but stay with me. Maybe, just maybe, it's only the first two games of the season and the Bills have played against two top 10 defenses. After next week, when the Bills play another top 5 defense, the sky will not be falling. The defenses are just really good.
  11. If Tua didn't get injured, I think there's a serious chance he might have gotten benched. He looked lost out there.
  12. Because being a holder is a very precise science and I trust the guy who has done it all day every day for years over a guy who has never done it before. You may remember Bojorquez, who practiced every day, costing us a few field goals last year because he faced the laces in instead of out.
  13. Am I the only person who wasn't worried about the Ravens before, during, or after these injuries?
  14. Tom Brady: 606 Total Touchdowns, 191 Interceptions Jim Kelly: 237 Touchdowns, 175 Interceptions Stop.
  15. Is it just me or has Gabriel's Gate fallen off lately? The last two times I came back to Buffalo, the wings have been soggy and 7/10 at best. They used to be incredible... not sure if it's just bad luck or a trend.
  16. No QB should be taken #1 in any fantasy football draft unless it’s a custom league where passing touchdowns count as the same as rushing touchdowns. However, in standard leagues, they don’t. Did you notice that no other QBs got taken in the top 20 other than maybe Mahomes? That should be an indication to you that you did something stupid. I appreciate that you’re just getting started, but you made a guaranteed mistake and I’m sure everyone in the league who knows anything either laughed or rolled their eyes when they saw the pick.
  17. To those rolling their eyes, which is more likely: Scenario A: Kumerow, a player who was cut by the Bengals, Patriots, Packers, Bills, and Saints, at 29 years old is all of a sudden "making plays all over the field." Scenario B: He's getting hyped up in an effort to get some value for him.
  18. Everyone put your conspiracy theory hats on... now that Darryl Johnson has been traded, my suspicions were confirmed. Did anyone else notice Darryl Johnson getting a ton of hype from the local media this off-season, lots of run during the pre-season, and non-stop barrage of positive press from his coaches? The guy is a very good player, but it seemed very odd for him to be getting THAT much hype. The other player that follows this same script is Jake Kumerow. Non-stop positive press from his coaches, seemingly engineered touches during the pre-season that play to his strengths, and lots of talk in the local media about his special teams ability. With Green Bay trying to keep Aaron Rodgers happy, perhaps Beane is smelling blood on the water? My theory: the Bills had too much talent at DE and WR, so coaches put Kumerow and Darryl Johnson in position to succeed this pre-season, then asked the local media and coaches to gush about their progress, potential, and Special Teams ability. Thoughts? We'll see if Kumerow gets traded as well...
  19. Imagine being offended that our QB isn’t considered a top 10 player in the league and only a top 5 QB… after one good season. Patience.
  20. Zero interest. Happy he got paid and happy he's not on the Bills. Classic Rex Ryan regime pick. Look at his social media and it tells you everything you need to know about the guy.
  21. This is the part that kills me. It's a problem with McKenzie too. One muffed punt can be the difference between a win and a loss. Particularly in the playoffs. It's times like these, I wish we just paid Andre Roberts his $2.5M
  22. I think there are 3 reasons for the change you've seen: 1) Bills fans finally have a brand name. "Bills Mafia" sounds great and is easy to reference nationally. 2) The GM has a catchy name that has become synonymous with development of young talent, with the biggest proof being our franchise QB. 3) The team's prior struggles were well documented and everyone loves a zero to hero story. That's a formula for a well liked and well respected team nationally. We're also in the bubble right now where people don't feel threatened enough by the Bills to hate them. If the Bills win 2 or more Super Bowls, people will begin to turn on them. That's how it works.
  23. If you want to pay $2.25M to not have him on our roster this year, year we can replace him. The more reasonable path would be to actually let him play a game or two after giving him a 3 year contract. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/matt-haack-22270/
  24. On this thread I've seen several people saying there will be anywhere between $3M and $6M in savings by cutting him. His contract is fully guaranteed. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/mario-addison-8871/ Cutting or trading him means we pay $8M for a player that isn't on our roster. Why would we do that.
  25. We’re talking about third string QB here guys. Either Fromm or Davis will be cut. The other guy will be on the Practice Squad. No decent QB will be a free agent or Practice Squad, so they’re both irrelevant. Keep the one with higher upside, which appears to be Webb.
