Last year my source said Keon....
machine gun kelly replied to MasterStrategist's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don’t take the bait. No one outside the organization really knows what we are picking as evidenced by us taking Hairston. Someone does this every year, and almost always is wrong. It doesn’t bother me nor do I take any stock in any predictions. I’m not inferring anything about the OP. I’m sure he thinks he knew something, but that is something someone is fired for if came out. -
Sold Turbo. That works for me and it would be my fantasy Beane starts his magic by bundling our 2 4th rds to get a 3rd rd pick. Then our 3 5th rds picks to get a 4th. Last, but not least our 3rd rd. picks to find a trade partner to get a 5th rd pick. That ends up with 6 total picks in the top 5 rds.. That’s about right as well never actually have 10 picks make the 53. 6 picks all in the top 5 rds is better talent you hope, and we pick up depth for the PS with UDFA’s. There’s my wish list.

This surprises anyone why? It’s not going to work, nor will help negotiations, but typical.

What are your NFL Draft Night Plans?
machine gun kelly replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably will watch quietly at home. I’m 57 and too old for the bar, and all that stuff. Picking at 30 will be a struggle to stay up as I get up at 5 am. I’m hopeful all of you have fun. -
Happy Easter everyone. We went to Philippe Park in Safety Harbor for Sunrise Mass at 7:30am as it’s beautiful there. The sun is rising, our church (Catholic so important to us) does two masses at a park in Safety Harbor, where it butts up to the north end of the Tampa Bay right on the water. Beautiful split oak trees everywhere, hundreds of people there for both masses. Then we had my three kids, my daughter’s boyfriend, and my two stepsons for a wonderful Sunday Brunch. Easter is about faith and family, not chocolate. That’s great when you’re kids are little and still hopefully believe in the Easter Bunny, but for us only it s about faith and family. I hope all of you were able to do whatever you love on Easter Sunday. Take care my TBD friends.

Things are fine the way they are right now. With the next CBA, it’s inevitable we’ll go to an 18 game season as there is too much $ in it for the owners, TV, and subscription services. Im not saying it’s the right thing to do, but it’s going to happen, so we might as well just accept it. Some of you may not like it, but it’s happening.

BB, it’s great to hear from you old friend. I miss our conversations. I hope you’re well and trust your research.

I’ve brought this up before, but my favorite Rich Stadium memory was in 1988 around thanksgiving. Big old Freddy Smerlas blocked the one field goal against the Jests. We won the AFCE the first time in years, and stormed the field. I had my 4 closest HS friends with me and 8 of my fraternity brothers from Oswego. Together we were in the end zone on the tunnel side, and across the tunnel was 30 Gamma guys also from Oswego. They made it a big road trip as many of them were from downstate. I was in Sig Tau, but we got along with the Gamma guys. Heck the night before 14 guys and the Gamma guys were at PJ Bottoms by UB, and all got in a roadhouse fight against the Rugby team. It was crazy so a bunch of us went to the game with black eyes and one guy had a broken nose, but had a blast. So when we clinched it we went flying down to the field, and was congratulating the players as they ran into the locker room. I was the 5th or 6th guy up on the goal post for all of 7-8 seconds. Then I was used as a ladder by other to get up to the top and went flying into the crowd. The worst part was by then the crowd was all falling forward and I had layers of fans on top of my legs. It was actually pretty scary, but I’ll never forget that Rich Stadium moment. Thanks for the topic as it was a fond memory. I look forward to reading other memories as I’ll miss that stadium when it’s gone. I was a toddler when it was built so it’s always been in my life. My sons consider our September trips as some of their fondest football memories as well. Once we have the schedule, we always say a prayer there will be a September 1pm home game. I’m getting too old for October and later games.

Draft as many of these 7 DTs as possible
machine gun kelly replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We only really need 6-7 picks as we still have depth. So, for me in the 1st, and 2 2nds, in whatever order the most talented position, we shoot for a DT, CB, and speed WR who creates separation. We bundle maybe our 24ths to see if we can get one 3rd. Then a DE and in the later picks we bundle again to keep smaller jumps up for a S. What we don’t need is an O Lineman, or RB. Let Cook play out his last year, then next year draft one and franchise Cook for another year. That’s 2 yrs., and let Cook test the market. Beane would’ve an idiot to extend him to an exorbitant contract. Every couple of years we use one draft pick on a RB, and never extend them. Guys like Barkley don’t grow on trees. -

Chandman, thanks for sharing. It was a heck of a memory. I remember exact where I was in FL. -
Bills Draft Strategy vs the Consensus
machine gun kelly replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chans, I know you’re a decent guy, but the point is not everything happens in the first three rounds. I wasn’t trying to bang on you at all. Milano a fifth round pick, Dane is serviceable a late rounder doesn’t pick, Benford a Sixth round pick. He finds gems. Not everything is the for. Three rounds. I appreciate you doing the homework of that helps. -
Bills Draft Strategy vs the Consensus
machine gun kelly replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why isn’t Benford in the 2022 draft as he’s a star? Just because he’s a late rounder doesn’t mean he’s meaningless. -
Dolphins & Jalen Ramsey exploring trade options

Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
machine gun kelly replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know it’s just depth, but he’s not the same guy at all. Maybe as some mentioned, get lucky and he mentors a draft pick. Teach him the McD way. -
Draft hopeful Kyren Lacy passes away
machine gun kelly replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m sorry he made that choice. A permanent solution for a temporary problem is always a mistake. RIP. -
Derek Carr, possibly out for 2025
machine gun kelly replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s true, but Mickey Loomis, controlled those purse springs. Them kicking the can perpetually caught up to them. Im sorry for Carr, but he was on the downside of his career. The Saints or Aints need to get back to rolling the dice on drafting a QB. This year is a not a great QB pool so the hits keep coming. Seeing as after the Bills, the Bucs are my favorite NFC team as I’ve lived in Tampa for 34 years. This only helps the. Ice for another division title. Besides, I like Mayfield and Bowles has grown on me. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
machine gun kelly replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
First, to the OP, thanks for the piece from Dr. Phil. It’s hard to argue with JA’s perseverance, and growth. As far as the game, I had moved to Tampa for graduate school the week before the Bills/Giants SB, so no, I wasn’t there. I was at this sports bar with another Buffalo transplant at the Fraternity House. It was cool as the waitresses were all smoking hot, (fake bodies etc.) cheerleader mini skirts, and half tops and bla, bla, bla. Dave and I were so disheveled at the half, so we’re drinking to our sorrows, and then it happened. One score, after another, and we were so elated, we were high diving, and told our waitress and her friend were taking them to the Steelers game on a road trip, and well let’s say the night ended up having a really fun night. We then sobered up and realize we had full time jobs, Grad school, and I was competing at the time (powerlifting). We didn’t go, but watched together at the same sports bar the next weekend, and kept the party going with these girls. So no, I wasn’t there. -
For the youngins who didn’t get the reference. I could’ve been somebody.

Bills and McGovern discussing contract extension?
machine gun kelly replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they do extend him, it’s a good decision. After several years, we finally have a top notch O Line. -
I feel for these women, but eventually one can hope they will make the decision the men will not change as it’s their go to solution, so the only thing a woman can do is leave at all costs, and place a restraining order on the guy. It stinks as it takes forever for a woman to realize it won’t change.

Chandman, you had me excited as I thought you were going to show Fandemonium. I was there with both high school and college friends for the game when we clinched the division. It was a blast as I was the 4th person on top of the goal post. That is for all of 6 seconds until people climbed me like a ladder. My buddy was so drunk Dave lost his sneaker in the debacle. Big Old Freddy Smerlas blocking that field goal.
