  1. I’d like to think the mods do a nice job. No person is perfect, but they try to be fair.
  2. PD, What a nice review. Virgil kind of coined the “A few thoughts in no particular order moniker”. Consider that as there is always, “Here are my thoughts” or whatever. Sincerely, nice review. Shaw with the Rockpile Review, and Virg with the phrase above was something we all looked forward to each week for years. Not a criticism, just a simple point to a new guy who is doing a nice job. Thanks for adding to the board. Enjoythis week, amd hopefully we build on it Sunday against the Jets.
  3. This is what I think of when I think of this game.
  4. Or Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Guys, it’s not a big deal. Just google the Bills schedule and it’s comes up in a heartbeat. The mods look out for us with everything else. Use youre browser. Sure, I’d love it if they did this when the schedule launches, but it’s not going to happen. I choose to think of what they do for us. you guys realize they are going to shut this thread down soon enough.
  5. I enjoyed the series. Admittedly, it was my first Hard Knocks. I don’t need to see them firing people on camera. That’s cruel. In addition, we have a very well run team, and this series amplified my understanding of the team. They handled so well the team’s release of certain players. These guys are class. To say it was boring, I wonder what people’s motivations are in what dirt want to see.
  6. Hondo, first thank you very much for your service. As my father said as he was in during the Korean War (Navy), freedom isn’t free. As far as that day, I had just moved to Tampa 5 days or so before and was with my fraternity brother who transferred to USF from Oswego. I moved to Tampa as was starting my Masters program and landed my first career job. Well as many of you know the Bills-Giants SB was at the old sombrero, and where On Bucs Drive (the now training facility was the Tampa Mall. The local radio station set up a Movie screen outside on the wall of Dillards (it might have been Macys) and 97 Rock had their vans and sound system where it was as loud as the stadium. I must have seen thousands of Buffalonians there and knew quite a few. My buddy, Joe’s friends were all Giants fans, so I was with the enemy. We arrived at 8am and brought four cases of beer, a charcoal grill, and lawn chairs. We had presidential type seating as right in the front of the screen, and had a lot of fun all day. It was so heart breaking seeing wide right, and all my buddies celebrating like crazy. Joe didn't have the heart to rub it in, and just put his arm around me. I had tears in my eyes, and he tried to console me. Hearing that stadium cheering in those final seconds ripped me apart. That one hurt the most. Nevertheless, it was a fun day throwing footballs around, etc. and let’s just say we had to make another beer run at noon. By the way, I just finished watching NFL Matchup, and the Bills Ravens matchup was their signature review, mostly Ravens focused. Cosell mentions at the end the Bills ran the ball 36 times in the playoff game, and states the Bills Danit 60+% of the time against the #1 rushing defense in the Ravens. The Bills controlled the clock, and he indicates it’s why the Bills won last January. It will be interesting if we do the same tonight if we control the clock and time of possession, we can hide a little more the weak spot of our secondary. As always Chandman, thanks for the memories. You are the best at that on our board.
  7. you mean the large sink as tons of people used that as their urinal. if people have a memento, great. I don’t think there is anything I want to save as a memorial.
  8. im sure it will be fine Knuckles.. we've got you pal. Go Bills. BTW- im still trying after two years to understand the Chinese culture as my wife is Chinese, but she has friends whose husbands have been in china for years and they make it work with a long visit once a year. They worry about a lot more important things trying to get their entire family here and takes years as they hate the Chinese govt.. not the people. With that said, life away front the people you love sucks, and is a sacrifice. Im sure they know how much you care.
  9. I hate to hear any player seriously injured, but Likely should come back from a broken bone just fine. My real concern is for our DB’s. They are dropping like flies and may be a serious threat to winning this game. The following games are the Jests, Fish, Saints, and Cheats. I can see us going 6-1 in those first 7 games. I’m not hopeful this Sunday simply because of the secondary.
  10. Thanks for including me on the list 619. Those are some excellent Bills fanatics so I appreciate being part of crowd. GO BILLS!!!
  11. I attached my stepsons college id and was able to pay easily for around $200.
  12. For anyone who may have not watched last night, it’s available as of 4am on Max. It was a nice episode, but didn’t learn much. The human interest stuff was fun to see.
  13. Shaw, as always your Rockpile reviews are legendary, and would be great to retire Rich Stadium as a winner. Sorry, to me it will always be Rich Stadium.
  14. Exactly. You're the one asking the right question. It’s just like the fire McD crew, but when asking who’s better, you get a homan, homana answer.
  15. The man known for the earslap. They banned it because of him. One year in the 60’s, I can’t remember the exact year, he had 36 sacks in a 14 game season. Now they didn’t record them back then so it didn’t count, but some sports geek looked at every game and recorded 36 sacks. Football wasnt better back then, but it was different. What they could do then vs. now is night and day.
  16. Rubes, thanks as that was a nice article, and gives a little insight into josh.
  17. Guys it’s a game. It’s not a big deal. They just want to sell more jerseys.
  18. I was hoping Beane could pull out a miracle and work a trade for Samuel, but with his injury history, it makes sense. He’d better be able to do something this year. In the next two days we’ll start to see our PS get filled up.
  19. I’m happy for him. I hope Ciarlo at least makes the PS.
  20. Agreed on the other names listed above, but would add Bill Fichtner. He’s a proud and loyal Bills fan.
  21. Duck, thanks for forwarding, and my Dad just turned 95 yesterday. I still can’t believe he’s as mobile as he is, but admittedly, he’s slowing down. He’s one of the OG Bills fans.
  22. Thanks TB, and used to be sizable, now just a middle aged guy who still works out 5 days a week. I’m sure Simon is a beast. BTW- Buffalo Barbarian was a Powerlifter as well. I haven’t heard from him in quite awhile.
  23. Walker seems fun, but I’ll wait on any judgement. Im not convinced on anyone, nor is it wise to do so. Let it play out. He shows maybe opportunity. It would be great, but it’s preseason. That means almost nothing.
  24. Agreed. Mitch is the best of able options for a backup, and White will probably be released, and maybe Shane makes the PS.
