  1. You take 20 bone crushing hits between the 8 sacks and 12 hits, with no WRs getting separation faster, and let’s see how any QB plays. In rank order I blame Beane, then McD for continuing sticking with Brady, and Brady. Beane also could’ve made a larger effort to push a trade for a separation WR, vs.making excuses.
  2. As much as I feel for Jethro looking for some answer on Brady’s delayed called plays, JA17 calling his own plays is not the answer. I just wish McD would stop being stubborn on not bringing in Daboll in some capacity. Brady is in over his head and Beane has not given Brady the horses in WRs for him to open things up.
  3. As much as Russini’s idea has merit, they’ll never do it.
  4. She was a hottie. I just saw her in a commercial recently. She’s still attractive. BTW- there’s nothing wrong with watching a sappy love story every once in awhile. Heck my wife Puts up with me watching stuff like the Terminal List, and Dark Wolf (that was the new one), Reacher, SWAT, etc.. She never complains. So if every once in awhile I’m tasked with The Bills A Love Story, or any other love story, except The Wind Beneath My Wings, or The Notebook.
  5. I did my friend. Not to get sappy, but we just took a walk at sunrise. I try and compromise with her as we drove to a park on the north end of the Tampa Bay. Now I’m free and clear to go to the gym, then church, and watch football today. My other compromise is I promised to make her dinner. She’s really trying to understand why Buffalo is so special to me. Anyway, everyone enjoy the day with family with the games. I’m looking forward to the Bucs/Rams. Dallas/Philly might be good as well.
  6. DC, I was correcting myself, not you. I almost made light of it as well. I know better.
  7. I laughed at it was funny, yet, domestic violence is nothing to laugh about. Between Elam, and Coleman, way to go Beane. My gosh.
  8. I told my wife we have to watch it, even if for no other reason than showing her a little about Buffalo. We only married (remarried as both on our second) and she has yet to travel to Buffalo. She was excited to see it tonight. She loved Hard Knocks, and this a woman raised in China whos first NFL game watched was with me when dating. So I’m a yes.
  9. That’s true, especially the Giants SB. Polian made a point in 30 for 30 how the Bills had an overwhelming winning record against NFC teams. There was a common theme with NFC fans that they were the superior conference even though I took the time once as I counted up SB winners all the way back to GB and it’s basically tied. Anyway, Jimbo was a guy I looked up to in my early 20’s as he was larger than life. I remember when we came back against the Saints, Jim was in the locker room post game and said to the reporters “who here thinks we could come back down by multiple TDs”. “You’re a liar, you’re a liar, etc.”. The reporters all laughed. So I flew up for the game as just moved to Tampa. I’m out with my friends at Cole’s downtown that night. I’m in the bathroom as many 20 somethings do after drinking way too much beer. In comes Jim, and I imitated him, and he started belly laughing. Needless to say, I washed my hands and shook his hand. I told him we love you Jimbo. You’re so Buffalo. He took that as a real compliment. So when I first chose a handle for this page years ago, I chose it after him. He was flawed when single and even cheated on his wife, but he figured it out, and what he did for Hunter was nothing less than amazing.
  10. Well I hit 58 in the coming week so I was little, but remeber when 5 my older brother and dad going nuts when he broke the 2003 yards. They scared me they were yelling so much in jubilation. I didn’t understand it until much later. It’s crazy he played a small bit in the blockbuster in the 70’s, the Towering Inferno, then of course the Hertz commercials, and you probably remember him as Nordberg in the Naked Gun movies. Obviously I was in my 20’s when we all watched the caddy driving leaving the scene in the 90’s.
  11. Billy, OJ may have not been a good human being, but he was a great RB for the Bills before we knew what he was capable of doing. I don’t like the man, but loved watching him as a little boy, at least the last half of his career.
  12. I know bud, but unfortunately, he didn’t get that one foot inbounds. It sucks and yes, it would’ve been great, but was the right call. So many more bigger problems.
  13. Ive been griping on the board this morning and Im not feeling better about it, so my go to when im this frustrated and angry and is give TBD a break for a couple of days. It’s not that i don't like you guys, I'm just too frustrated right now. My only hope is we pull it together and finish 11-6, but the delusions of 12-5, to 13-4 are gone. The AFCEW is gone. We can merely hope for a wildcard and maybe with Oliver back, Benford healthy, Bosa’s hand healed up, and McD taking full control of the defense can mayb get us a wildcard win, and like always a division loss. If Terry doesnt wise up for some serious changes, he reaps what he sows.
  14. Sorry, but it’s not McD for me as much as Beane and Brady. Terry should force McD to offer at least a rehire of Daboll if he’s willing to take an OC job. Daboll is not getting another HC job soon. McD should also be directed to control the defense, and if he hires a new DC, he’s really there for camp and practice, not calling the defense as that is McD’s job. If he doesn’t like it, fire McD. People blame McD a little too much (just one man’s opinion). Hes turned this team around from the desert for 17 years.
  15. Well Milano is up this year, Samuel could be a post June 1 cut, and Knox could be forced for a reduction in his contract or he can walk. I agree Knox should accept the pay cut, but he has value in what he does with Kinkaid and Hawes. We do have a solid RB room, and maybe McGovern and Edwards don’t deserve extensions. I’m not sure. We have to get not 1, but 2 high pick WRs, a LB, and a Nickel CB. I HAVE HIGH HOPES Hancock can keep growing into a solid S.
  16. My tune has changed in many ways on the roster and performance. I’m really trying to remain pragmatic, but these guys are getting ridiculous. GROOT is mediocre at best, Jones is getting old, Oliver and Hoecht are out now, Milano was my favorite player, but now is truly getting old. Beane has done a p&$s poor job in finding WRs and just plain special players in multiple areas. McD holds the final call on promoting Brady who is out of his league. McD needs to take over the defense as Babich clearly needs help. I’m over it. We now have kissed the AFCE Division winners goodbye, and be on the road for maybe a wildcard win, but then lose in the divisional round AGAIN! This is not a SB caliber team. I’ve had a number of you upset with me at times for trying to see the positive, but I’ve had it. At a minimum Pegula needs to force McD after the season to rehire if he wants it Daboll as OC, take over the defense, and Beane should be gone. Anything less is window dressing. Not real change, and real change is needed.
  17. While I agree with the many flaws this team has and blame in rank order Beane, McD (because he keeps trusting Brady although highly predictable), and Brady for obvious reasons. Our WRs don’t get open, Allen is getting killed out there, and we’ll be lucky to win on wildcard weekend. This is not a championship caliber team. Not even close. I’m guessing we’ll probably go 11-6, win maybe wildcard weekend, and then out in the division game. Where’s Daboll when you need him.
  18. I assumed this was the case as JA knows how to get rid of the ball. It’s so frustrating that we can’t buy separation. I thought maybe no Coleman would mean some progress, but nope. I blame Beane a heck of a lot more than McD and agree Brady is too predictable.
  19. Thanks for ruining my morning the day after a painful loss. Between Allen holding onto the ball so long, the line not protecting, and once I see the all 22, the WRs not getting open was a nightmare. 8 sacks and a couple of pics. I wished I never stayed up for it as the second half was rough.
  20. Guys, you don’t want Gruden. Sure he took the Bucs over the finish line with Dungy’s defense, and Rich McKay’s picks, and definitely helped a defective QB get a ring. He also had alternating years of 11 and 4 wins back and forth until eventually fired for the ATL coach now. Ive watched every Bucs game for 30 years. You can’t help it when you live here for this long. We do t need Gruden for any position. Everyone’s allowed to have an opinion, but I’m telling you for years of experience he was a mess.
  21. No one is HOF worthy on every throw. I was talking to my workout buddy each early morning, and he was like, Josh is a cyborg. I responded you’re just figuring that out, and he is a football expert. He stated, you just can’t beat the guy. He makes a mistake and then does super human things. I responded as my backup team is the Bucs and Mayfield. I told him and if you look at the schedule, the only game in play for them is this week against the Rams. The key for the Bucs is get Irving back along with Godwin. Evans is out for the year with the broken scapula. The rest of the Bucs schedule is a piece of cake except this Sunday against the Rams. The only crappy thing is it’s in LA, and the Bucs don’t have fans that travel like the Bills or Steelers.
  22. What the Brown Eyed Girl said. Do you remember when… Hes over the hill and for now, our answers are upon the team. For me it’s’s Palmer, An alternating Shavers and Davis, and Shakir. 5th can be Moore or Samuel, whoever is healthy, and if we needed after this week a returner, then Hardman. Screw Coleman. Disorganized, not prepared or even professional. Knox or to a smaller degree Hawes until Kinkaid is absolutely 100%. Cook of course, and when needed the other two, but make them the safety valve for the out route passes. Brady should confuse defenses by sometimes when we decide to run, have Knox in there sometimes, so we are not predictable. No more of this crap behind the line of scrimmage. Did you guys notice our running game against Tampa stunk as they loaded thr box, but then we kept hitting downfield, and softened them up, and wha la, the running game dramatically improved. Sure, they had 200 rushing yards, but Baker who is my second favorite QB, was pedestrian. We gave up the running game, and they blitzed 60% of the time, which is common for Bowles and it normally works. It did nothing for their defense and we took advantage of it. Bowles is normally a defensive expert, but not this week. We made lots of mistakes, but darn that game was fun. Almost as much fun as the Chiefs game. We may have finally found a WR crew with Coleman on the line. So a hell no to OBJ. I’d rather draft one to two every year for a couple of years. I know we need a LB, a Nickel CB, but WR has to finally be top priority, and free agency is a no go. We just don’t have the $.
  23. Well said King. The 5 seed is the most likely, but still holding out hopes the two losses of the Pats to us and to the Ravens the following week could tip the scale possibly for the AFCE, but we would have to run the table. Our road is harder as after the #1 defense in the Texans, then down the road the Pats, and the Eagles are our obstacles. I’m less worried about the Bengals, Jets, Browns, and the Steelers.
  24. 3/12, I’d only add Hancock’s playing time needs to increase consecutively until the playoffs where Poyer for him and White for Hairston are filling mentor roles. Sure, especially with easier games can take some snaps to teach by example, but the younger athletes can be eased into full time starters. With the development of Bishop panning out, and Lewis has filled in well for Johnson. We may actually have a solid backfield like we had for all of those years with Taron in his prime, Poyer and Hyde, and Benford. It will ameliorate so much pressure on the front four.
