  1. Agreed 3/12. I enjoy when one of you guys do the hw. On DT targets, and lump together. It’s a lot better than starting a thread on each individual possibility. So thanks BB.
  2. John, there is too much in that call to summarize in a sentence or two. It’s an interesting call as Cosell knows more than most about football, and tries to stay Switzerland. I just listened to it yesterday.
  3. And they are letting a DE go when the defense is their Achilles heel.
  4. What you don’t seem or want to understand is Brady is smart, and he was dealt a hand where he had no WR’s who can get separation the first half of the year, thinks he may have an opportunity in Cooper, but as you stated lost a step. So he calls games scheming guys open closer to the LOS to move the chains. Brady doesn’t pick the talent nor can magically heal Samuel’s turf toe. Brady made the best out of a bad situation, and I imagine begged Beane for WR’s who can separate and received one in Palmer, and most likely will draft another. Beane then picks up a bunch of talent on defense in free agency to fill needs. Now they have latitude with their 10 draft picks to bundle picks, get a great DT alternating with Jones, a CB2, and any other holes they have. I’m guessing with the two 6th rd picks we pick up a developmental QB we groom over the next four years and a kicker. That leaves 8 picks higher, some very high for the positions addressed above.
  5. Outside of cheap depth to get to 90, we’re done. Not what I want, but the facts are just there and no wishing will change it.
  6. I’m with Mike. We’re done whether we want it or not until the draft. The thing about Cooper is he still has skills, and contested catches, but doesn’t have the breakaway speed to make it happen. We on the other hand need his skills, but on a young 4.3 second 40 speed guy, and that’s not happening. The draft is the only answer. We now with the two comp picks is 10 so we can do it, after we get a DT.
  7. Dracs, I had a lot of fun to Barry. I’ll leave it at that point.
  8. Now that’s funny. Barry White was awesome back in the day.
  9. Hey, Diggs, albeit from the Vikings, Milano, and Shakir were all 5th rd pics, and Benford was a 6th. If you want to count Dane, a 7th. Oh and Teller was a 5th. A 5th is a deal for Elam, who was a bust. A 7th is gravy. The now 10 picks, is power for BB to keep moving up.
  10. Yes. He’s only played I think 16 of the last 48 games. I know it’s worth a try, but it’s a Hail Mary. I need to amend my statement and didn’t want to erase the original as am always happy to state when I was slightly wrong. It was 28 of 51. So sorry I made the error. MGK
  11. No, MS, the team has the option after the 2025 season to tag him at $13 mil. for 2026. That’s the current rate for RB tags.
  12. May the Road rise to meet you. May the Wind always Be at you’re Back. May the Sun always Shine on You’re Face, The Rains fall soft Upon you’re Fields. And until we meet again. May God hold you in the Palm of his Hand. Thats an Irish Toast, or can be considered a poem, and we’ve said this my entire life on St. Patty’s Day. It’s also said at all of my Irish funerals. My family is heavily invested in Irish- American traditions. As far as this past week, I’m not surprised, but very happy with what Beane, McD, and Terry have done as the Pegulas had to sign off on these moves.
  13. This is why I get my hopes up, but never believe these guys. It’s always about the $. They have a limited amt of time to make generational $. I can’t blame them if they can scare the crap out of the current team. You just never know how much the current team wants to keep someone.
  14. Benford if they can swing it. We have 2 years left on Cook, if next year they tag him. Then moving on as he doesn’t block nor play a lot on special teams. $15 mil. reminds me of Dr. Evil wanting a bajillion Jillian $. Dr. Evil, it’s 1969. That $ doesn’t even exist.
  15. At this point the best cost savings and value is to extend Benford as hell cost more next year, and we need him. We have 10 draft pics, so bundle what you can Beane to move up a little if there is a trade partner, and hope for the best. I was all in on Garret, but it’s the game.
  16. I think Virg nailed it. Extend JA, and that frees up a ton of space to extend Benford. If they create enough space they can aggressively go after Garrett and maybe Metcalf. Beane, you’re either in or not.
  17. I thought Tyrod wasn’t retained by the Jests. They should also draft a developmental guy with one of the 2 6th rd picks. The other should be a kicker. Just my two cents.
  18. The funniest skit on Jeremy and Joes show in the am is the Let’s get stupid bit. My idea is we don’t need draft picks for Mack, just $, but not insane $ as he’s getting older. We do need draft picks for Garrett and Metcalf. What if we extend JA, restructure, everyone meaning Dawkins, Knox, amd others to create space and release Miller. So yes, it’s stupid, but Mack and Garrett and Metcalf with Shakir, and Coleman and one of the two TE’s, and no way the Chiefs beat us again. Let the contract finish upon GROOT and maybe Mack is just a one year rental. Extend him next year. I know I sound like the guy I always criticize on not Madden, but we can do it this year.
  19. I’m with you Sven. I’m not interested in a 32 yr. Old WR, even if he played well in 2024, because he will fall off a cliff at some point. Metcalf is a different story. I’m still most interested in Garrett.
  20. Mario by far. Wrex ruined him by outthinking conventional logic. Why would you ever drop a beast like him into coverage. That’s why Wrex is on ESPN, and not coaching as he’s an idiot.
  21. No bud. I thought you were being a wiseguy when I meant he plays out his contract, then and only then we tag him for one more year. Then we get two more years out of him and maybe he gives up these ridiculous ideas of $15 mil. and then we decide to extend or draft someone in a year. RB’s, and Safeties are meant to be cheap labor.
  22. No miracle meaning he plays out his contract in 2025, and is tagged in 2026. You already knew I meant it, not in 2027. That makes no sense.
  23. During the season, the offensive line, and Cook. The simple solution is give away a 1st and 2nd, and next years 1st for Garrett. Then, the other 2nd goes for the space eating DT we need. GROOT gets single coverage, and and Oliver gets the opportunity to penetrate. The recast for the draft of the 7 picks goes towards a speedy WR, CB, and Safety. A kicker and backup QB with our 6ths as we have two. That’s it. You can’t evaluate how bad any team wants it. This is anger and frustration, and I understand it. I’m frustrated too. I am. We have answers in front of us, but a matter of Beane doing what it takes to win. Extend Josh amd backload it and we have all the space we need. There a couple other restructures out there. The cap went up last year by around $35 mil. And another $25 mil this years. It might be as high as $27 mil.
  24. I’d rather wait a year. We get Garrett and let’s see what GROOT can do opposite a game wrecker like Garrett. Garrett routinely beats and draws double teams. GROOT is assured of single coverage.
  25. I still think we’ll tag Cook next year for 2 years from now. We have him for two years so would rather spend the draft resource in other areas. RB is the least of our concerns. We have a good room now. Ty’s cheap.
