Well, it was fun watching the Rams and Seattle play some complimentary ball. They face each other Thursday night.

K, as much as I want to revel in the win, my hope is we face them again in the playoffs and beat them again in Foxborough. It would be great to see them lose to Baltimore and Miami, that’s such a long shot. So we can cream the Steelers in the wildcard (just guessing that may be our opponent), and then listen to the talking heads all week the Pats will in Foxborough, and then we beat them again. I mentioned in another post, we will expect to see more Cooks deep targets. They may have been dropped, but NE couldn’t just load the box. I loved also seeing a target or two to Palmer. We did see Kinkaid, and Shakir, and of course Cook, for another 100+ yard game.

Casey, i dont have the athletic, so I’ll take your word in it. To me, Coleman should be the 6th and nothing more. Draft status doesn't matter. I believe Cooks will supplant Shavers. Not replace, but his role will grow once settled into this team. I agree with Buscaglia, now that Coleman is on the sideline. They only have to be so dangerous, as the RBs can catch and are more dangerous in soace. Kinkaid looks like he is getting better with his body. Knox and Hawes can keep growing in their roles. We have if Brady uses his head and gets a little more creative. One last thought. BEAT THE CHEATS!

Well written Ed. If we get the 9th home game, that’s a concession. Germany are bigger fans than the UK. My life long bud was an NFL Europe Guy. He played in Germany, and told me they are nuts about the NFL. If we get 8 home games, and the 9th is in Germany, those that can afford it can get a Europe trip out of it. Besides the NFL is so motivated to place top teams in Europe, so it makes sense they place us over there, just like the Chiefs, Ravens, Eagles, Lions, and so on. It’s not like Europeans don’t know who has the best fan bases.

This topic has devolved. Anyone is entitled to their opinions. I don’t disagree with Cosell, but the comments on injuries etc. is the case for a number of teams in the NFL. T, agreed, but also the RBs as dump off receivers as they are better in space than even the WRs. If we can get Palmer healthy, a combo of him Cooks, Davis, and Shakir as the slot, with the TE (any of the three, don’t be predictable Brady can make noise. Hawes has proven he can be a 5 yard drop off, Knox can easily handle a 7-10 yard short pass over the middle, and Kinkaid can be a target anywhere. We pretty much can’t do anything about WR until next year, and we don’t have the $ for a free agent acquisition, but we can make a dent in the draft with a WR at the top and a DL in the second round.

I heard it this morning. You probably heard the psych warfare they are pulling on us. Who cares. I still feel like we can do it. We’ll find out Sunday. I did think it was funny when Vrabel pulled the trick Belicheck usually pulls on other, on him. He's a good coach. We now have a real competitor as the Fish and Jet’s have never been real competition. These Pats look like tigers, but another two drafts and free agency, and they will be a formidable adversary. You and I are not happy about the fumbles especially in a day that feels like 20 degrees or less, snow freakin everywhere, and he extends with one arm on the goal line. I’ll restate what I believe would work. After the seasons. After the season… 1. Terry pulls in Beane privately and fires him. 2. McD is forced by Terry to do two things. A. McD, you run the defense, and Babich can be your assistant. Not up for a negotiation. B. Daboll is now our offensive coordinator, and you want to keep Brady as a position coach, fine, but that’s it. Daboll can find the creativity to make this work and he can use Cook effectively, but the next GM is damn well going to get WR’s. We already have the OL, TE’s, RB’s, amd most importantly the QB. We only need to fix one last thing on offense. I’m done with blowing everything we have on defense.

I understand 716. I do. I just think we need all hands on deck for the playoffs and maybe we actually pull lightning out if a bottle.

Guys, I love Hawes too, but he’s not Kinkaid and never will be. He’s great at the dump off as no LB actually wants to man up on him. Hell, DE’s don’t want to line up on him. He’s an option and will grow a little with the passing game. He’s not even Knox. He had almost 100 yards Sunday. He would more if there were more opportunities for him.
