  1. Why not just let the guy have the ball? They have like 50 more at hand. He would save this forever. Giving him another ball isn’t the same. It’s BS to me.
  2. Guys, I agree that song should only happen with a decided win, or winning with maybe 30 seconds left in the game and a two score lead. We look stupid by playing it prematurely. I didn’t notice it, but that was a big mistake.
  3. Cage he was sacked four times, hurried 8-9 times, and picked. He did play a good game, but not the second coming of Joe Montana. Josh played sloppy and admitted it after the game. They are not in the same league. I know the loss especially to them still stings. I get it.
  4. Wagons, I’m so sorry you lost probably your best friend. It’s hard to describe to people that are not dog owners what it’s like for losing a partner of say 15 years.
  5. They tried him on both sides. Both DT and OG.
  6. K, if we are talking about the same Stetson, they are not central FL, but St. Petersburg south of Clearwater. They actually have a great Law School. I’m glad you mentioned it, as I might drive down 40 minutes and catch a game. I always liked Jasper, but his feet were just too slow on the O Line and D Line. It sounds cool to have a 400+ lbs. Guy on the line, but they also need speed and athleticism.
  7. I don’t know the details so I’ll just wish he and his family the best, and the jokes btw aren’t funny. A man was stabbed. Whether he fumbled a lot or not, he’s still a human being.
  8. I know you meant this as a joke, but Mr. Felser was such a kind man. He was good friends with my father who worked at the BN for 44 years. It was my college job, and paid for my bachelors degree at Oswego. My last year, I moved up from being a part time driver and hopper, to delivering inter-office mail. Yes, to my young friends, there was a time when there was no internet, so I took those Manila envelopes all day for 9hours roaming the halls dropping off people’s inter-office mail. It gave me an opportunity to get to know most of the employees in the building. Very fond memories of Mr. Felser, Van a couple of times, Murray Light , the editor, and even drove Stan Lipsey (the publisher) to the airport. Other than a trip down memory lane, I feel bad for my Dad who had work3d there from 17-61, minus his four years in the Navy during Korea. Now the BN is produced I believe in Ohio. What a waste, but digital media has taken over.
  9. I’m so sorry to read about this story. It’s my understanding he had a pre-existing heart condition, a congenital heart deformity, and I guess his implanted defibrillator, failed, and thus passes away so young. It’s terrible to hear, and his EP (electrophysiologist- basically a subset of an interventional cardiologist - they basically do the procedures for heart valves, pacers, and defibs) or his staff is supposed to interrogate (evaluate the battery life) the device so they know the battery life and if needed get approval to change out. It is a surgical procedure, but pretty common. Anyway, regardless something happened. Batteries don’t just typically die. Once the battery life gets down to a certain percentage, MHC has to approve a replacement. They are very very expensive, but lifesaving in many instances. Thats what makes this so terrible. He should’ve never passed at 39. I’m sorry for his family.
  10. Although I love your movie, “I’m Spartacus”, the Bills are the #1 rushing offense in the NFL, and the Cheats are 25th. The Cheats are 26th in pass defense, and we are 3rd. We win this game through the air. We are the better team. Not afraid, but they can threaten us if we’re complacent.
  11. C’mon Doc, be nice. You’re an excellent poster, but Ethan although sometimes prickly, also gives a darn about the Bills. I kind of like the deep dive. It tells me it’s not that easy to break in right away for a mid round pick, especially on a very talented team. I did laugh though.
  12. I had no time for press conferences today. Any word on Hairston?
  13. You mean Chhekitowaga down dare. Outside of joking, the articles on the main page seems interesting in the way he kicks, so the normal stats on hang time, avg. distance punting, etc. may not apply. I’m in a we’ll see mode with the guy. We don’t have a lot of choices right now mid season.
  14. K, I don’t see the Bills moving on from Knox as McD really likes these heavy sets. Based on the opponent, we may some games where there is a ton of 13 personnel, and 12. We basically can bully some opponents. Hawes is promising and cheap. Knox may need to take a reduction in his contract after the year is over, but doesn’t necessarily mean they cut him. Just one guy’s opinion. I don’t know anything more than the rest of you. I have learned quite a bit over the years listening avidly to Movin the Chains on Sirius. In the off season they call it the R’s. Reduce, Release, or Restructure. It’s basically what GM’s and Capologists do each off season. Those guys, Pat Kirwan, a former coach and front office guy along with Jim Miller, a long running second string QB for several teams have really nice insights into how football people think. I know Pat and Cower have written several books in “First Take Your Eyes off the Ball”, and teaches people who love football how to break down games, etc. Ive read it and learned a lot. I’m a guy who played and coached football and learn a lot from them.
  15. I was puzzled as well as AJ Brown is on the Eagles and this is a Ravens thread. Now as far as the Ravens, I feel compassion for their team and fans. These are some critical serious injuries. I don’t see them as chokers, just any team can only tolerate so many critical injuries to their stars. This guy is an excellent LT. I don’t have time to write down all the critical injuries to their starters, but just type in Baltimore ravens injuries update, and google will take you to an ESPN option. Most fan bases can be myopic in looking how bad it is for their team, but if you start looking around the league, some years it’s worse for certain teams than not. Look what happened to Detroit last year.
  16. Oh when the Aints, come Martin in, yadayada yada. I simply wore my Fredex jersey as good things happen when I wear 22. I love that guy. The funny thing is my dear friend wanted to take myself and now ex wife out to dinner with investing in his firm. She said, he could care less as he goes out to dinners with Doctors, etc. all the time. What do I get him? Get him an authentic Fred Jackson jersey. He’ll never buy that for himself. The owners did and has never failed me. I have newer jerseys, but when I wear Fredex, we always find a way to win.
  17. Agreed on both of these points. A number of people keep wanting a WR, etc. but one of our greatest strengths is our line. They keep Josh clean, and blow open big holes for Cook and company. I love how we are playing smash mouth football with Gilliam getting more starts this year, than any before. We are also effectively using 13 personnel. It like we are the 2019 Baltimore Ravens reincarnated. Id much rather draft safet(Ives) and yes, one WR who can separate.
  18. Kamara was great in his day, but Cook has more of a future in the NFL. He proved me wrong in three games as I was one to want to let him play out his contract, and then franchise at him. That was a mistake. This contract is paying dividends.
  19. When I think of the genesis thread, it reminds me of this….. Normally, 4merper has decent takes, but luck has no bearing on turnover battles, but coaching does have something to do with it. McD sweats the small stuff and it’s the reason we keep wining game after game, because it’s coached into them. 4merper, maybe some of the guys are being hard on you, which is why I tried to lighten things up with a joke. The answer to your real question is we should want to win the turnover battle as long as possible as it shortens the field which is why we won 13 games last year, and sat the starters in a meaningless finale with the patriots. I’m confident we can make 7-0 with the Saints, Cheats, Falcons, and the Panthers. The bye is coming at a good time to maybe get Hairston by the Chiefs, as well as Oliver, Milano, and these games will give Strong a little more playing time, as we can load managers Tre.
  20. I see this warranting a conversation from Beane to Gardner Johnson and his agent. He’d have to know what he’d be signing up for in how McD coaches his safeties.
  21. It’s just money grab. The minority owner wins as when they sell, they definitely make a profit. The principle meaning Kraft in this case gets cash to infuse into his team for free. They have no power or influence. They just shake hands and look important, but are just simple investors for a small win. I could care less for the Bills or anyone else.
  22. Then again, this isn’t Madden, but I’d love to have one of those WRs. That’s why the 2026 draft thread I mentioned a need on defense, Safety, and Offense, WR. It’s plausible Bosa’s ability to stay healthy holds as well have Hoecht, and Ogunjobi by weeks 8 or 9. Based on what we have as strengths, I agree with pushing around other teams. 13 personnel, creating interior cut back lanes for Cook, etc. using Moore for trick plays, and Palmer is just getting started.
  23. Josh won’t want to blow his streak, so I can see he starts, runs up 28-3, and then hand the ball off to Mitch, finishing 39-10, Bills.
  24. I agree with these rankings minus Detroit to me would be #5, not the Chiefs.
