  1. I went with Shakir primarily because when we had no other weapons, he kept Movin the chains. He had more tough yards and yes, Cook has been equally important. Coleman emerged 1/3 the way into the season once he was used to NFL speed. Cooper sealed it, not because he’s made this overwhelming impact, but his presence on the field changed how defenses prepare for our offense. The reality is this is a barstool conversation, and the sum of the parts is more significant than one player over another. I just was so happy to finally see Cooper, Coleman, and Shakir along with our stable of backs, and now 2 TE’s healthy.
  2. For the people that like to crap on the WGR guys and I’ll agree with that afternoon crew, Jeremy and Joe called this point this morning. Lamar can’t hold Allen’s water. He’s a good QB, but he’s not even close to the same stratosphere as Josh, Mahomes or Burrow. It’s a pr ridiculous game to get him the previous MVP. Josh has been better than him since they both entered the league. I’ll grant you in 2018, Lamar played better, Josh caught up in 19, and never looked back. If Josh doesn’t win the MVP, SB MVP, amd the SB, Ill be shocked this year. We will finish 14-3, and probably can rest some starters in the 2nd half of the next three games. We can beat the Cheats and Jests in our sleep. Sorry, Oats, no 55 yard wins this Sunday. It will be cold, but Josh likes the cold as evidenced by one of the coldest Bills games in history against oh yeah, the Cheats.
  3. House, I’ll remind you some of us remember when Bruce was drafted. Heck one of my first memories was my brother and dad going nuts in 1973 when OJ broke the record. If you count the yards per game, OJ had the best single season of all time. OJ did it in 14 games. I actually did the math on all guys over 2000 yards, and it’s not even close. I even looked up the great Jim Brown in 12 games and he didn’t even do what OJ did way back when I was 5. Bruuuce was the best defensive play of all time. He also did that 17 sacks a year in avg in the old fashioned 3/4. It was truly remarkable. With all of that said, the more I ponder the question and I did vote for Bruce, but only because Josh hasn’t played long enough to be the best of all time. He will though, and when he’s done he will be the GOAT in my book. Heck my wife playfully reminds me she wants to fool around with him. Hey, it gets her to watch football for me.
  4. Transient, he mentioned the record is 13 in a row. I know we’re at 11. if the record is just 13 in a season, then great.
  5. He’s definitely frustrating as he misses a 25 yard kick, but makes a 50.
  6. First, Billy, welcome to the board as I see this is your first post. Most guys here are pretty nice. As far as your post, there’s only one problem. You mention we are only the 5th team to score 30+ pts in 8 games. The problem is as you mentioned, the Broncos have the record with 13 over 30. Well, seeing as there are only 3 games left, that means the most we could execute is 11 games. It’s great, but 13 is not possible. As far as 11 games, it is definitely plausible against the hapless Cheats, Jests, and Cheats. To your Philly point, the two toughest NFC opponents are the Lions and Iggles. As long as we make it, we should face one of these two.
  7. Someone early, mentioned the Bucs. Normally, I’d say no way, but with Godwin he could maybe be a role player. He won’t make a big impact and get next to nothing as he is cooked, but they need a body right now.
  8. Einstein , heck he’ll do it with only three games if the Cheats and Jests. The Lions is just gravy. I’m with Howard Simon, we win the next four games. There are so many injuries on the Lions, especially on defense, and they’ve barely beaten some bad teams. At least with our weak opponents, we’ve blown them out. Please don’t get me wrong. This is a dogfight this Sunday and we’ll win by 3 or less in the last minute of the game. No more, or easier.
  9. As always 3/12, I agree with you. I just have a feeling like I would like him if I ever had the pleasure of meeting him. It’s always a treat when the guys you hope are nice guys, really are in person. At my NSM (National Sales Meeting) back in 2011, I met again Andre Reed and he was nice nice in person as expected. We had an evening team building thing where we had a chili cook off. He was the celebrity judge. One of my guys convinced him I was the biggest Bills fan in the company, so he came over to the tent, amd we talked for almost 10 minutes. I asked him if he wouldn’t mind just saying a few words to my sons who were 12 and 9 at the time and both Bills fans and played football. He went farther and actually talked with my oldest for several minutes, and I thanked him profusely for it. My point is Josh just seems to do as much right off the field as he does on the field. He was literally the exact opposite of some of the Bucs fans I met over the years during the Sapp and others period.
  10. I read this and immediately thought of the old green eggs and ham dr Zeus Schpiel. I okay them in KC, I’ll play them in OP, I’ll play them in the cold, I’ll play them in a dome. You get the picture. I get youre point. The only thing that matters is we beat them. Onto NO against Philly or Detroit.
  11. 31-28 Bills. We hope to get Coleman and Kinkaid back, and otherwise the only possible loss is Douglas. The good news is Jamarcus Ingram and Elam can fill in for a game. The Cine kid should be activated for a fine package against those two RB’s for the Lions. I don’t think anyone has this game in the bag until the last 30 seconds of the game.
  12. That’s great. Now, how about a trifecta with the MVP, and then the ultimate, a ring.
  13. Well, I was born and raised in Hamburg, so I bleed red, white, amd royal blue. With that said, I’ve lived in Tampa for over 30 years so in order for my kids to respect me, I root for the Bucs. The Bucs will never get to the SB anytime soon so it would be nice to see the Lions to finally make a SB. Now, I’d never want the Lions to beat us, but I still hold out hope we can make it ti the dance, and win it all. I’ll never root for another team to win it all.
  14. Well the real answer for Sunday is we need to get up fast, so that means quick and fast passing game. Running can happen if we get up by 14. That’s no easy feat. Hey, if my Bucs can beat them (their only loss) amd also defeat the Iggles, we are a much better team. I really believe it s a solid chance.
  15. Now that’s funny. I agree, amd would pull an Archie Manning if my son was the first overall pick.
  16. Augster, it must have been season 1 as I think it was Hawkeye named Chief Surgeon by Henry, and a big poker game that night. Mr. Miyagi was at the game, the Australian guy from the first few seasons, Sydnee, the shrink, etc. it was hilarious. If not season one it was the second. Anyway, I consider you a TBD friend so have fun. I’m actually thinking of watching a few of them with my wife as she’s never seen it, but as I mentioned before to others, she didn’t have a TV growing up. You gotta love the Communist nation of China.
  17. That was a funny episode. I too liked MASH. You probably remember Hawkeye went nuts to get Adams Ribs in the of the early seasons. He finally gets it shipped from Chicago, and when he finally gets to eat it, they are called to the OR. Some of those episodes especially in the first three seasons were absolutely hilarious. One of my favorites is “Deal Me In”. Look. It up Augie and you’ll laugh. MASH is still on Hulu of you ever want to watch an old episode.
  18. As a previous player and coach in my younger days, I look at Cook as the explosive workhorse, Davis as the banger to get tough yards, amd Ty as a 3rd down back who has excellent hands. He’s also explosive as well. What I wrote in a separate thread is we need Coleman along with Cooper and Shakir, and Knox. Kinkaid can have more time to get right for the playoffs. Only with all our weapons are we going to beat the Lions.
  19. I wouldn’t be throwing the towel on the #1 seed. He Chiefs have… Browns Texans Steelers Broncos We need to win Sunday. We will win the last 3. So this Sunday matters. They are really hurt, and have looked good against bad teams. We’ll see as I’m not into conceding. We lose Sunday, then ok, it’s #2 or 3rd based on what happens with the Steelers. They have a tough schedule as well. The other thread on the signature losses since 2020, then going undefeated I hope the pattern continues. Just hang on guys. One more Sunday, before you throw in the towel. One helpful sign even in a loss is how Cooper is coming around in synergy with Allen. Yeah, the defensive line was horrible last week, making the LB’s and DB’s look terrible as there was no push from the front four. I was sickened by their crap performance so I don’t have rose colored glasses. We really need Coleman back this week so I’m praying he gets in the field. We can live without Kinkaid for now with Knox available. It’s so imperative with this Detroit team, we have a healthy Cooper, Coleman and Shakir, along with Knox, and our stable of backs. Milano will be fine Sunday as long as again our D Line does its freakin job. Did I mention I was disgusted with their crap performance. It made the next two waves look bad with the Rams. Getting routinely to the second level. I can’t think about that game anymore. We crapped the bed. Moving on. I will say if Allen after Sunday doesn’t get the MVP, screw them. HES THE BEST QB IN THE NFL!
  20. He’s not stupid as he knows the NFL has passed him. I respect what he’s done, but now he can use his credibility to recruit. Everyone knows it’s one of the most important aspects of a D1 program. He’s saying all the right things publicly stating his job is to coach as an NFL prep factory. What top recruit wouldn’t want to go to a 6 time SB coach, amd credited right ir wrong for Brady. If top talent decides to go there, he’ll look like the hero for building the program, hand it off to his son in a couple of years, and probably work as a consultant to the team. Honestly, I don't care about him anymore. His mediocrity in the end was great.
  21. Spikes. Not a Xmas gift, just a treat for Sunday. I’m about all turkied out.
  22. It’s high hopes, but I was thinking the same that maybe the only positive is it galvanizes the team for the rest of the season. You know most analysts will pick Detroit this week. My response. Who cares?
  23. So I found last year one of the Geary family (the family that founded Blasdell Pizza) opened a store in Palm Harbor. 37 years ago, I used to deliver for the original on South Park Ave. Admittedly, the newer owners of Blasdell has let the recipes go to he’ll. Down here though, Sissy still imports the ingredients from NYS and makes the pizza the way it’s supposed to taste. Basically, Detroit style pizza. Im getting a small for my wife, her kids, and myself. It should be fun.
  24. Hyde was slow last year. He’s not the answer. He can help with our starting safeties, and in case of injury can assist in a pinch. My guess is he’ll get some playing time like Bishop in the 2nd half if we’re up vs. the Cheats twice and Jests. I can also see other starters getting pulled if we’re up by 2 TD’s in the 2nd half of these three games.
  25. Thank god for our yellow Sun.
