  1. There is a good chance the Giants, Lions, and Jax could pick QB’s. If that is the case I don’t see Washington trading up, but the Steelers might. If 1 or 2 don’t take a QB, then I can see a trade with Washington. Even though Beane wasn’t officially in last year’s draft, you can bet he had advised McDermot, b/c the only reason Whaley was fired before the draft, McD would not want him to give up knowledge of Buffalo’s board. I say this b/c based on last year, we traded down and up to get their guys. I still think it was a good draft, so you can most likely expect movement both ways to get the best players. To go down, one of these teams must covet the available player. We’ll see. I can only imagine how stressful that day is for the staff.
  2. I agree, but his coach plays a role. Enjoy the SB. GO RAMS!!!
  3. Funny this was discussed on MTC with Pat Kirwan and Mills. Pat made the argument from Foles perspective he’d want to get on the free market, but Kirwan stated why wouldn’t they pay Foles, b/c it would be a total of $24 mil towards the QB position and Weitzel was hurt the last two years even though he is dynamic. They discussed that if Wentz keeps playing reckless with his body, they have to have an excellent back up. we’ll see as some team that really needs a QB, will pay up like the Jags, or Dolphins, or even Tampa if Arians wants to move on from Winston.
  4. Sounds like a good hire. We’ll see if JA improves this year.
  5. I think it is a good list. I was listening to NFLR and 93% of the top 10 eventually get in at some point. The timing is from 1970 to present per John Clayton. As far as Kevin Mawae, he went to 9 Pro Bowls when players always and 2 All Pro and didn’t miss a game in 10 years. I do agree with the above poster, I’d love for his family’s sake, and he earned it Kent Hull to get a yellow jacket.
  6. Jasovan- I agree more offensive talent, but the Pats have a better defense, especially in the secondary. I don’t regret taking Allen, and trading back Williams as he will be a lock down corner for 10 years. Hopefully, so will Allen. Im happy for Maholmes
  7. Whether it's sarcasm or not, the discussions on race is just wrong. He's a great back up, but limited in his skills to throw people open. I know Captain Obvious. He did seem to have high character.
  8. I’ve said it before, but since the topic keeps coming up, I definitely want a tackle in the first round, or even the other poster suggesting we trade with the Redskins. We would still be able to get a solid tackle. id rather get an excellent Guard and Center in free agency.
  9. I don’t see harm in them having a friendly challenge, and whoever loses should donate something to the other’s charity of choice. I tried opening the video, but didn’t work for me.
  10. I bet he ends up as a backup at a cheap rate.
  11. Yes it’s funny but he was dumb. Working as many of you do in corporate America, they are going to release you if you create an embarrassment. Why do you think coaches and players always go with the politically correct answer. in my business, I could easily release things that are not illegal, but at times in the past unethical. I never participated, but it is blasphemy to give out any information. You let the PR person handle any questions. It is drilled into you on every position. He was dumb, and although maybe I think he’s right, I’m not surprised at all they released him.
  12. I don’t know how many read the Syracuse article from this morning, but really interesting about a prediction of 23 moves between free agency and the draft. I really liked it. I doubt all of those moves happen, but it would definitely make us a lot better. I really couldn’t disagree with these moves. It’s a long read so just preparing you.
  13. These columnist comments about tanking is nuts. Every coach is trying to save their job, and every player is playing for his contract or tape to be seen by other teams. The only time I would agree was the last game of the Bucs to secure the #1 spot for Winston. They did play hard even with a losing season up to that point.
  14. I would love that as staying up and having a party would be great. I work too early in the morning to go to the whole Sunday parties. We usually stay for the first half then drive home at halftime. i don’t see football or the SB falling i popularity. It’s the single most watched program worldwide of the year, and ratings these two seasons are up even with all of these other outlets to watch games.
  15. Although a top flight wideout would be great, I see us taking an OT as there are several out there. I believe the top three picks will be on offense. A lineman, or two, and a wideout or TE. We may then take the third on down probably to fill some of the defensive needs. Think about it, we had the #2 defense, #1 against the pass, and the 31st rated offense. Beene would be crazy to pick defensive players high, when we only lost Kyle and Phillips was groomed to be his replacement. Just my two cents.
  16. He hasn’t slowed down and I watch every game, he just has a bad supporting cast as well as our last DC made things too complicated. I can see them wanting to unload him given the change, but they will never give away a 3rd as they are rebuilding. Maybe a 5th if other teams don’t go for him right away, otherwise we would need to give something away and Beene won’t do something for a 31 yr old, even if he is a stud.
  17. Well. KC had the best offense, but their defense was their demise. A previous poster mentioned preferring a top offense, but at least 15th in defense. I’d bring that number up to 11th or 12th. If KC has a better secondary, they probably would have won that game.
  18. I understand you’re point, but one conversation isn’t going to kill JA. It’s not that he won’t let it go, he just wants a Bills winner. I believe he has his best interests at heart. Its not as if Allen hasn’t been given advice from others. It’s also not like Kelly is trying to coach him or have multiple conversations with him.
  19. As do I friend. I actually said an Our Father when I read this story. I didn’t think it was this bad, but for his family’s sake, I just hope he lives a good life inside or outside of Football.
  20. Amen Old Time. This was by Joe Theisman the same type of injury by LT 35 years ago. He’s a tough and disciplined person so he won’t be a slouch in a dedicated rehab. I always thought he was knocked too much for being a game manager as he threw so few picks and had the respect of his teammates. First as stated, I truly hope he can make it back, but at the very least doesn’t have long term disability. Theisman admitted that injury has caused him to have chronic pain in his leg.
  21. Free Mighty Taco for life. Might slow them down during the games.
  22. We’ll spend 80% on offense between the two, and 20% on defense. Hopefully it makes a difference.
  23. Have fun and pay you’re wife for a massage/spa treatment. She’ll love you for it.
  24. I could care less about the all star games, but the Senior Bowl is where we may see our next top talents.
