  1. McGahee, only b/c Donaho took him in the first with a busted up knee, and sat out for a year, and still trashed Buffalo on his way out. Back then a knee repair was not a guarantee, so we really took a cHance on him. He’s trash in my eyes. Brown did all this stuff on purpose to get out, but time will tell if he will be productive in Oakland. I regretted we lost Lynch, but he didn’t want to be here, but he wasn’t a jerk on the way out.
  2. He did not play that well last year, but was on a very bad team. The key Coach Weiss made on NFLR was pertinent that his former college coaches did not endorse him, and there was speculation he did not take the time to do the film tape to win. That is the antithesis if Allen, per his peers. This doesn’t bother me at all.
  3. That’s between Poyer and Gore. In the past, teams have allowed the two players to work it out. Sometimes the Gore type player would give $ or a gift, but not required. Sometimes the younger player gives up his number out of respect, which is what I’m guessing happened with Poyer. It actually speaks to Poyer’s character.
  4. Agreed badass, but losing him for the season like other players would be worse. Again, fine with him running designed or not, just as he proved most of the season know when to go out of bounds and when to slide. We we need him for 17 weeks.
  5. It is so premature to make any speculation, not that the OP is wrong. We just don’t know what else we will do with the rest of free agency. What about Ansah, or anyone we haven’t heard about.
  6. I know. The last thing we need this year is a dumb mistake that causes a long term injury. I’m fine with him running as long as he can slide or run out of bounds and for the most part has done that in games.
  7. Now that was funny. Loved seeing it, but McD after pulled him aside and guessing he said, don’t ever do that again.
  8. Weo, I respect you’re opinion, but respectively disagree. McD has had a difficult job these last two years, and now finally this year and the next, we have the $ to spend hopefully wisely and can build the team the way they are trying for long term success. They seem smart enough to maintain a healthy cap space so they can keep building each year. This year should be fun. The next even better.
  9. It’s whY I think we grab another G, and can focus on other things in the draft. Fun off season. With the bank we have next year, 2020 could be fun if these guys are smart.
  10. I know big guy.. we’ll see.
  11. Jonah Williams of we can trade back based on last two days and we get lucky.
  12. Thats exactly what I was thinking as so many C can play G. Would have rounded us out and maybe we do go after Metcalf. so far a good couple of days.
  13. Agreed on the TE draft after Taylor at RT.
  14. I say b/c so many C can play G so why not pick up Paradis now, then Juwain Taylor in the 1st, and do what it takes to move up to get one of the stud TE’s. I hear people saying we need big WR’s, but the Pats way a few years ago was two stud TE’s, even though one was a murderer. After, grab a pass rusher, RB, and just the BPA afterwards.
  15. Beasley comes out of his breaks really well and will be good for Zay and Foster will benefit from J Brown as he’s not just fast but a good route tree runner. My son loves the Cards so I’ve watched him for awhile.
  16. Just another opposing politician trying to take down the other side. Both sides do it.
  17. Now hopefully we get back to making us the best O Line in the NFL. Everything else will look great if that happens.
  18. Thanks BB. I didn’t see that.
  19. Formerly - I did the math from SPOTRAC, and we actually only need to spend about $35-40 mil. Still more than enough for two interior lineman and a WR or TE.
  20. Right, but we can get two stud interior linemen, and a WR, and still have $ for next year. Don’t forget we need draft $ 9.34 mil. Per SPOTRAC, and every team that is wise keeps an insurance f7n for either UDFA, or injuries for replacements, $7-8 mil. We also need probably $20-25 mil. For e tensions next year and stay cap friendly.
  21. LT- Juwain Taylor #9 LG- Zeitler or Saffold C- Paradis RG- Spencer Long RT- Take you’re pick, probably Dawkins. Back ups, Bodine, maybe Teller.
  22. Now that’s funny. It doesn’t surprise me though. So many QB’s gone in trades, you wonder will Miami trade for Rosen, or take one with their first pick.
  23. Id rather take Juwain Taylor at 9, and bundleour 2nd with one other pick to move up to 1st even two picks to get either TE from Iowa. We have 2 fours, fives and sevens. Somebody would be willing to make that trade, but it will be at the last minute. I can’t imagine the stress on that day for Beane and McD.
  24. FWIW, Jordan Jones, the Sam LB for Kentucky was asked in the SEC, which is the toughest Tackle he opposed, and he said Juwain Taylor, not Jonah Williams. Either one is a big upgrade.
