  1. I say Monday at 11:00 am, and press conference at noon.
  2. Not in any universe. After that debacle Saturday, with his bumbling, and unprepared, why would even consider wanting him back.
  3. Bottom line is Lynn along with other candidates will get a chance to interview which is most prudent, and the new HC will bring his own staff.
  4. Why would you want a coach who's had two years to install his defense move from 4th, and I believe Pettine's defense was close to top 10, to now 18th and 19th. This game has past him. His defense doesn't work anymore.
  5. It's a luxury to have two capable LT on a team. The jury is out in who is better, but Glenn's body of work is a top flight LT for four years except when he had his kidney removed.
  6. That Steelers / Ravens game was exciting, and kind of fun to see the Chiefs pound the Broncos. Maybe the Chiefs can beat the Patriots in the playoffs.
  7. Note to self. Never post after all the cordials on xmas night.
  8. Can someone please call Flutie and take that Greg Brady tiki out of the 50 yard line? Talk about salt in the wound. Sad thing is except for the Bengals game, almost everything posted above is realistic.
  9. Eball - thought you'd like to know after all the kids opened presents this morning and mine are teenagers so went off their ways, I listened to NFLR and Vic and Alex were going over Buffalo and Ryan. I had to call in and went on a rant using your bulletin board material plus a few other things. I had Alex Marves laughing his ars off by the end. Vic put salt in the wound, and he said to my issues with 27 coaches couldn't tell Rex in overtime Gilmore couldn't come back, "Dan, he actually had 28 coaches before they fired Roman". That also got a laugh from Alex. Anyway, I plagurized you on National Radio. All 100 listeners from coast to coast on Christmas late morning. Merry Christmas guys! It's off to the in-laws.
  10. Good take Hondo. He is worth a solid contract vs. starting all over, but not the money he wanted at the beginning of the season.
  11. Same age, and same opinion. Yes, the defense is the real reason we lost, but two correct calls and the offense wins us this game in regulation. I also believe 75-80% of refs would have called hit to the head on TT, even though he hit his chest plate, and his head popped up. Do you think Brady, Manning before he retired, or Rodgers wouldn't have received that 15 yard penalty. Cam Newton is right that some QB's get more favorable treatment.
  12. Really sucks for the Raiders. Both of these QB's were playing so well. I thought the Raiders were the only chance for keeping the Cheats out of the SB. Now I have to root for the Chiefs in the AFC, and the Cowboys as much as that kills me in the SB.
  13. You know what sucks is an avg. of 25.9 pts/game places us 7th this year. 5 of the 6 above us will most likely be division winners. The only one not going into the tournament above us is New Orleans. What's the common thread with us? Both New Orleans and us suck on defense! It made me sick the Dolphins running game go for another 200+ game. I agree with the breaks. I believe Pittsburgh and KC will win today. We had it in hands as the Jets have mailed it in. They look worse than the Browns right now.
  14. What's incredible is how much bad press the offense has received, and they lit it up. They knew the Fish were going to run all day and they could not stop it. Other teams did after our first loss. Then a man coaching for his job makes so many unprepared, illogical decisions, and poor clock management. Terry has to be furious. Please get it over and fire him tomorrow. Let Anthony Lynn finish us off, and then we can choke on this season due to this heartbrKing loss. This is just Ground Hog Day. Now I know how Bill Murray felt in that movie.
  15. I think it's possible. He'll at least get an interview. If he does, I hope he fires the entire defensive staff.
  16. I guess the Bills made a good decision here, as well as Fitz, and several others. The front office hasn't bundled everything.
  17. Thanks 26CB for the pic on the playoff picture. I still want to win these last two regardless. Maybe we'll get lucky.
  18. Glennon could be a starter, but comparisons do not make sense. When he started and played, Tampa was one of the least talented teams in the league, and he had no protection. I'm not saying he is he answer, but I wouldn't be surprised if we picked him up, and drafted another QB in the second round. We'll find out by March or April. Until then, it's just a bunch of conjecture. I care about us winning today and next week.
  19. You're probably right, and I like the player, and from I see in interviews seems to be a very nice guy, but it's his decision. I'm sure he's been made aware of the risks. As far as today, I hope the secondary listens to what Lorax was saying the other day, in not getting over hyped over him or the game, as they will make mistakes. He did say, there should be more than enough opportunities for clean hits on him. I hope they stick to that plan, and not just media talk. I'd rather win than lose over cheap shots or over pursuing and missing on him.
  20. Just punt and go to a Buffalo Winghouse or something that has the ticket. I looked on the Bills Backer website and the other poster was right on SF or San Jose. I wouldn't drive that far. You can find a couple of Bills in just about any Sports Bar. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
  21. Dude you always make me laugh. Don't forget that geek Ernie in marketing. This thread is silly. He does what he is told. It's on Brandon and Whaley for example if there was not off setting language on Dareus due to his history. That's a recent example, but Overdorff can't make the call on these matters. As someone else states he runs the numbers and it's above his pay grade to mandate language, cost of contract, and so on.
  22. Excellent point. Why do you want to go back to 16 hr days, when they get a very nice living working far less? Besides, I lived the Gruden years in Tampa. He improved the offense to win the SB, but already had incredible defense. He rest of his years he would avg. 5-11 and 11-5 every other year. He was excellent in Oakland, and OC in Philly. His problem is he tried to play GM too much by bringing in over the hills guys, because he was always in a win now program, vs. building a long term winning program. Cowher will never come back.
  23. I listened to NFLR yesterday at noon, and Vic was interviewed and completely refuted the Coughlin story from the other day. His logic, and inside sources bs stating they did not have credible information. Made sense to me.
  24. I was listening to Murph on WGR this morning and he brings up some good points. We didn't have Marcel, Woods, Shady was hobbling, and they currently have the 30th ranks run defense. Since our game, they have not run the ball well. He predicted a win, and I'm a hapless Bills fan so Bills 24-17, and Shady will have a big day. I know we won't make the playoffs, but I so want a winning record, and then make necessary changes after the season.
  25. I'm really Leary of trading for a guy with so little starting experience. As mentioned before, Rob Johnson, Matt Cassell, Brock, and so on. I honest opinion is we don't have a lot of good options.
