During the Hard Knocks where Anthony Lynn was head coach of the Chargers, the camera showed Lynn in his office & he had a shelf of playbooks from the BILLS there. So i'm guessing they keep them

U took the words right out of my keystrokes here. I'd much rather we kept the playbook language & scheme the same, than say switch to something else where you're starting from ground zero. Now i know there's a bunch out there who are based in that scheme, but are they available? No idea. But i hope they know the Erhardt Perkins offense too

I never really liked Rodgers, until i started seeing him on the Pat McAfee show, where he opened up a bit more & showed his personality. In a more relaxed & casual setting, he doesn't come across as arrogant in that format & my opinion of him softened a bit. I also think though that we also need to realize sports athletes are people too. And they dont need to be this or that if they just come as they are. Fans & the media world in general make these players out to be bigger than they should be sometimes. They dont need to be role models or walk on water & say everything perfect. They can just be athletes who get paid to do a job too, this job being professional football. But i've always found some similarities between Rodgers and Favre & i'm curious if i'm the only one. On the field both were gunslingers, both players who you love watching play the game, but both who don't have all the accolades or titles that you would've expected to go along with all their success.

Titans changing policy to limit opposing fans
brianthomas replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
without having researched any of this, i imagine with a geolocating service. Such as out of State ticket orders or something like that. They could just setup a condition or filter to disallow transactions outside Tennessee... something like that i imagine -
17 years... next question?

Panthers Willing to Listen to Offers for McCaffrey
brianthomas replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall
if we can get CMC for a 4th rd pick & salary retained then sure, get er done Beane. Anything more than that tho, with his injury history & salary, no thanks -
ive done this before a few years back. Yeah u just work the stands & shovel the snow into chutes that dump the snow at ground level & then small front loaders scoop that up into bigger containers for removal. U dont need to kill yourself & u wont be overly micromanaged as long as u at least appear busy. Ive heard stories of people finding random valuables too that others left behind. I can't condone this but i used to bring a flask with me to make the experience better (and to warm me up) & i'd hang out with a bunch of fans for a good part of my shift. It was a cool experience to do but just a heads up but u dont get paid the same day. You have a piece of paper to fill in your hours with & you come back a week later & pick up a physical check. That was a bit of a pain in the butt & a friend who worked with me got screwed with no check whatsoever. But at the time we were strapped for cash & needed the work. Idk if there's a different company handling it now where perhaps they handle the payment side differently but just thought i'd share my experience fwiw

Daboll a consideration for Jags HC
brianthomas replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
ha same with me. I believe his last name was Jones & he played football of course, but i could be messing up the name. I've killed off a lot of those brain cells from back then. It always did feel a bit weird to me i remember. That we were like living in a bubble & it wasnt an accurate depiction of the world at large. But as time has gone on its become more diverse which is good. I know Daboll went to St Francis but with how small a community it is, maybe i crossed paths with him. Perhaps with you as well -
Imo its not so much about building a team for the elements. Its about having a balanced roster that on offense can keep defenses honest. Where we're not having to pass 90% of the time & put everything on Josh's shoulders. Does Kelly & those BILLS teams of the past have as much success as they did without a Thurman Thomas, or at least having the ability to run the ball? Players & defenses in this league are too good, even on crappy teams. If they know you're gonna pass 75% of the time, they'll play coverage & take their chances & just a little bit of a run game by us would go a long way. Its not really rocket science lol. I do think a lot of this falls on Daboll too, as there's things he could do in this area but just hasn't for a number of reasons. on defense, we've talked about our LB core these past few years as an area we needed to improve... still waiting on that to be done. Lets not be so undersized where opposing offenses can man handle our front 7 & rb's can feast off us. It's common knowledge we're built to stop the pass. We've gotten shredded by teams that can deploy a power running game. Once again, we should be more balanced to defend against the run too. Lastly we've also just had some officiating not go our way where if 1 call goes our way in some of these losses, a couple of them would be wins. In spite of our deficiencies we're still in positions to win, because we are a solid team & have an elite QB. I just hope it wont all be wasted this season.

Is this finally the year we make a big push for offense?
brianthomas replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall
You gave some great info in your post here. I hear all the time on how we need to get a top tier rb, which i wouldn't be against of course. But even if we had one on the team i'm not totally convinced it'd even make a huge difference. As you pointed out, we've had some success & productivity when we've ran it. The main issue i see here is simply Daboll not committing to the run game at all. With that game vs TB, he didn't even call his 1st run play til the 2nd half lol. Its not so much a talent issue, although a better oline & rb would help. You can scheme up run plays with subpar talent if thats what u feel we have. Look what Atlanta is doing with Cordarelle Patterson? Last year it was jet sweeps with McKenzie. There's things you could do to keep defenses more honest. I see our issues more on Daboll & his scheming or lack there of & our game plan more than anything imho. -
if anybody needs a link for the game hit me up. I'll be checking my dm's up until the game happy thanksgiving everyone! Lets GOBBLE up these Saints! 🦃

Edmunds with that Pro Bowl level of indecisiveness -
hey i have a random question hopefully someone can answer During the KC game Collingsworth i believe brought up the Music City Miracle & said how there's a local bar here in Buffalo with a huge photo of that play hanging on the wall. Does anyone know what bar that is? Tried searching for it on google but to no success. Appreciate anyone who knows the name of it

Patriots* Fan Trolls Belichick with Billboard
brianthomas replied to devldog131's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm all for trolling the Pats &/or Bill. But that billboard is pretty weak when it comes to trolling. Its too cryptic for starters. Shouldve had Brady's face on it or something, idk. -
Edmunds obviously has the prototypical body frame that you'd want in a MLB. Its just that he has the instincts of a potato. Some call it drive, others aggressiveness. Perhaps its all the above. Milano is having a great season so far. You see him breaking on the play before the ball even gets there. He's playing with instinct. Edmunds you rarely (if ever) see him doing that. And if anything he seems to be in no mans land half the time in coverage. Moving 1 way, only to have to pivot & go the other where the play is going. He doesnt seem to be doing much of anything but taking up space out there. Which perhaps is what he's being asked to do. But i wish he had more aggressiveness. More of an instinct out there. Man wouldn't he be fun to watch in this defense if that were the case.

Per Nick Wright: Bills will be a fringe contender.
brianthomas replied to Leonitas's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nick Wright, the fringe analyst but verified douchebag. But lets not forget last year where he lost the bet with Colin Cowherd about our BILLS & had to get the Pinto Ron treatment GO BILLS! -
Josh Allen - A Glitch in the Matrix
brianthomas replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah i watched this documentary a couple weeks ago. 10 outta 10 for sure. I admit i wasn't sure to expect from Josh when we drafted him. But i wouldn't want any other QB. GO BILLS! -
How will you out of town fans watch the game tonight?
brianthomas replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have links galore to the game tonight & every night for this sport & every other sport named to Man. DM me for details if any of you need any. -
Surprised Gabriel's Gate is so highly ranked. Their sauce is good but their wings are pretty small. LaNova's on West Ferry has wings that are like twice the size in comparison.
