Really does seem everything in life is a ponzi lol

Pre-Draft i wanted us to either move up with our picks since we had few roster spots OR i wanted us to trade back down & accumulate picks for NEXT YEAR, ala the Pats during their dynasty. I get moving back down, but instead of getting a 6th back this year, couldn't we have received a 2023 5th back instead? Aren't current draft picks usually the more coveted pick, since u can pick now as opposed to waiting a season? I thought it made more sense for futures next year. But now this year i suppose Beane could draft these extra players thinking other teams might need & want to trade for them after the draft? Just trying to make sense out of it since we lost 3 of our draft picks last season & surely Beane learned from that

Kyle Brandt will announce Bills 3rd round pick
brianthomas replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
For those who missed it. Full 3 minute segment -
Yep. We've all heard the Cam comparisons for years. Cam was so good he earned the nickname: Superman Then injuries caught up to him. I think what happened to Cam should serve as a warning to us. Doesnt matter how super your QB is, u need to protect your franchise qb period. Either with improving the guys around him or by making sure Allen protects himself out there. I think we've definitely seen attention paid to both of those

Are boneless wings with ranch the best game day dish?
brianthomas replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
Truer words have never been spoken. But to make matters worse, chickens don't even have fingers, so what are you really getting? Another thing, when given the chance to eat meat off the bone or not, always go for the bone, always. -
Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]
brianthomas replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
AWESOME!!! -
Couldnt agree more with your post. Case in point think of the Pats dynasty. How often during their run were they trading up higher into the 1st round? They frankly did the opposite if i remember right, frequently trading down to get more picks. Because as you said, those rookie deals are important as it gets harder & harder to manage the payroll
-
especially in light of us picking up Crowder. CB seems even more likely in rd 1
-
Well i think we all can agree that if Beane really wanted to address the position, he'd simply bring back Duke Williams. But he hasn't so idk what that says about him. We'll see an elevated role from McKenzie but also Kumerow, lets not forget him. Howard & Knox will soak up some targets. Hopefully we can draft a burner wr who can step into a role on offense right away, ala Tyreek. Some underneath/high percentage plays that a rookie can learn quick but that go for YAC. I'm not too concerned though. Beane will figure out something. Plus with Josh Allen, he makes everyone around him better. Robert Foster cough... he can do a lot with a little

Bills trade 7th rnd pick for backup Case Keenum
brianthomas replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
When Case played in Houston back in college, i thought he had a really good arm & projected well to the pro's. It hasn't really worked out for him but he can definitely win us games & has a better arm than Barkley or some of the other options. Beane has been methodical this offseason. Checking off the needs one by one. Cross backup QB off your list, all for a 7th. GO BILLS! -
Trading Edmunds makes no sense at this point
brianthomas replied to bubba2018's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edmunds issues are instinctual imo. His recognition to a casual observer always seems a step late. So the runner gets that extra yard on a run, or Tremaine is just out of position to make a substantial play. He's just kinda there, where you're hoping his big frame & wingspan do the trick i guess lol. -
i love Fitz & i get the appeal, but ideally you'd want to run the same offense with both QB's & idk if i can see Fitz in that mode. That was one thing i liked a lot with MItch, that continuity.

Gabe Davis on Richard Sherman Podcast
brianthomas replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see a bit of Robert Woods when i see Gabe. Just a solid dependable wr who shows up to make the catch when u need him. A wr you can trust! I dont know what was the reason the coaching staff was slow to give Gabe playing time, but just like Woods i hope we make a push to sign Gabe long term. Dudes a baller -
yeah the Happy Ending was a nice touch!

who knows, maybe we'll have the zedicron variant of covid this season & Star will opt out again & we'll have to deal with him for even longer lol. GO BILLS

Just saying... Jim Schwartz is out there looking for DC job
brianthomas replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall
All fair & valid points. My only response is that the 2000 Ravens D & 85 Bears D will continue being remembered for the role their groups had in winning when it mattered, instrumental while our D will live on the collective pages on twobillsdrive here & who folded & collapsed when it mattered. -
So many BILLS fans have reacted to Brady's retirement with the words: "As a BILLS fan...." that twitters algorithm picked up on it & now its trending lol If the news is true, great career, now we just need Mahomes to retire
-
During the Hard Knocks where Anthony Lynn was head coach of the Chargers, the camera showed Lynn in his office & he had a shelf of playbooks from the BILLS there. So i'm guessing they keep them
-
U took the words right out of my keystrokes here. I'd much rather we kept the playbook language & scheme the same, than say switch to something else where you're starting from ground zero. Now i know there's a bunch out there who are based in that scheme, but are they available? No idea. But i hope they know the Erhardt Perkins offense too

I never really liked Rodgers, until i started seeing him on the Pat McAfee show, where he opened up a bit more & showed his personality. In a more relaxed & casual setting, he doesn't come across as arrogant in that format & my opinion of him softened a bit. I also think though that we also need to realize sports athletes are people too. And they dont need to be this or that if they just come as they are. Fans & the media world in general make these players out to be bigger than they should be sometimes. They dont need to be role models or walk on water & say everything perfect. They can just be athletes who get paid to do a job too, this job being professional football. But i've always found some similarities between Rodgers and Favre & i'm curious if i'm the only one. On the field both were gunslingers, both players who you love watching play the game, but both who don't have all the accolades or titles that you would've expected to go along with all their success.

Titans changing policy to limit opposing fans
brianthomas replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
without having researched any of this, i imagine with a geolocating service. Such as out of State ticket orders or something like that. They could just setup a condition or filter to disallow transactions outside Tennessee... something like that i imagine
