Yes there was fake noise playing inside the stadium at a 70 db level. And there was also a different fake noise on the tv broadcaster side, that was custom tailored by sound engineers to be more like how local fans would respond. It is at the broadcasters discretion as to play this additional sound track or not.... but most have to start the season. Personally i'm glad they have the fake noise in the background. I just wish it were on the same loudness level that we average over here. 70db's is a lot different than 100 or 124db's we've been registered at in years past. But i do know people who say the fake noise is bad & they wish the games were played in silence, so they can hear all the on field communication better. Even though that works with say the UFC matches, I cant imagine football being played in silence. It'd be like watching a game in Miami for the whole year... screw that! Anyways, if anyone is curious as to the details about all of this can read up on it here: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-broadcasts-2020-fake-crowd-noise-explained-covid/73nq9jby87yi1em47p84enrre

Jets run D is the strength of their team really. We had a plan from the start to beat them thru the air, evidenced by Allen getting his 1st 300 yard passing day today. I think our struggles with the run today were part by design & a lack of rhythm for our backs, in combination with our right side Oline playing their 1st game together & a strong Jets run d. I'll be more worried about it a couple weeks from now & we're still saying this.

Prior to the season starting, everyone was saying how there'd be an increase in soft tissue injuries this year. And looks like they were right. Sure it wouldve been great to come out healthy & these injuries are concerning for sure. But we're not alone. Marlon Mack mightve tore his Achilles, Bell injured his hamstring, DeVante Parker injured his as well. We'll know more about the situation in a few days. Just gotta hope for the best & plan for the worst if ur Coach

Fwiw, Carbones has been in Buffalo for 40 years. From their website it said Buffalo was their 1st location here. The one in North Greece didnt open til 10 years later. https://www.carbones-pizzeria.com/about Regarding watching the games on Sunday. Plenty of people will be around come gametime. If people are unable to watch the game for whatever reason, BillsMafia will be there to help -
Adam Gase on playing the Bills defense: “It’s chaotic”
brianthomas replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair points i guess but Rex was obnoxious & his personality was all about himself. It was like he was a star of his own reality tv show. Whereas McD has class & is all about his players. Rex coached a team that felt disjointed, McD's teams play like 1 cohesive unit. And our trajection with McD is a team on the rise. The only thing rising with Rex was his weight. -

Question: Is Moss pushing Devin to start?
brianthomas replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah someone in my league drafted Singletary in the 5th rd. I grabbed Moss in the 9th. Regardless i think Devin will be the main guy between the 20's & Moss factoring inside the red zone. But just like with a lot of position groups, i expect we'll see a lot of rotation. And both will have good seasons -
yeah theres plenty of good free options out there for those that need them As far as planbeetv, idk about the legality around that one. It could be legal but theres not much info out there on it. When you pay money for something, you expect it to be legal (at least I do). Otherwise you can just get it all for free with just the firestick & save yourself the $12/per month. You'd have to configure it 1st & download the appropriate apps. Maybe the $12 a month is them doing that all for you? If they were licensed to broadcast those channels, you'd see some affiliations posted somewhere. Anyways it's probably not a good idea to post sites that skirt the "rules" on here. PM's are probably better for those who want to share. Don't mean to be a debbie downer, just don't want to subject this board to anything unnecessarily. (God can't believe I'm saying this) haha

how to watch games on fox free or cheap?
brianthomas replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just so you know reddit doesn't share links to NFL streams anymore. They stopped this process last year. There are plenty of other sites that will link to live games, but if anyone is going to reddit for that, they're sol. -
Titans get Clowney on 1 year, 15 mil deal *Updated
brianthomas replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cleveland offered him close to $20 Mill, depending on who's information you trust. But Clowney said money wasn't the only condition, term obviously was important to him, but he wanted to go to a contender. I'm not gonna believe anything about a signing until I see it confirmed. -
Last offseason i was singing the same tune as you. Til other posters changed my mind a bit, as its not all about big yards & return td's. Having a guy back there that you can trust to be dependable & never cough up the rock is worth every penny & roster spot imo. Especially when you factor in how close our games are. 1 costly turnover on ST's can be the difference between winning & losing.

i really dont know why theres such animosity around Duke. He was a long shot to make it here from the start. Didn't make the most of his opportunities but did show some skills. Josh obviously felt comfortable enough with him to target him so much. I think Isiah Hodgins & Gabriel Davis can fill that bigger bodied wr role this year. But if Duke can be kept on the PS, I wouldn't be against it.

Bills vs Jets what’s the game plan
brianthomas replied to Antonio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we win of course but my biggest worry about this game is the impact of no crowd noise on the Jets offense. The NFL will be playing a tape of artificial noise in the 75-85 decibel range. Thats a big difference from where we've been recorded before, at around 125 dbs. Its gonna be a lot easier for Darnold & the Jets to communicate out there than in years past. And had this been a normal week 1 game vs the Jets, i'd expect Darnold & their Oline to crack & make a bunch of mistakes. I still think they make mistakes though & we win this one by at least 10 points. -
As far as I understand it, a player claimed on waivers has to be on the active roster for only 3 weeks, before they can be moved back to the PS. So if another team wants to take a flier on a rookie QB like Fromm, they can simply make room for him for 3 weeks before moving him back to the PS, if thats what they chose to do. I think a team needing QB help for the future would be more likely to take a chance with Fromm than Webb. But of course it all depends on what our staff evaluations are on both of them.

Bills vs Jets what’s the game plan
brianthomas replied to Antonio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yep, Herndon's gonna get a ton of targets this year. They'll try to get him involved early & get Darnold into a good rhythm.
