  1. You guys are all missing the biggest part of this. We would have our own Brady & Belichick, plus with the talent that is Josh Allen. After getting our hearts smashed thru those Patriot years. Doesnt it just make sense that Brady & Belichick could be what finally pushes us over the top? Its like the God's have a sense of humor Get er done Beane!
  2. well everyone's worried because #1, we don't have those WR1 & WR2 spots filled yet. If we replaced Stef with those guys, obviously fans would be less worried lol. #2 fans are worried because getting rid of Stef wasnt part of any plan, which carries its own consequences. #3, Going on year 7 for your SB caliber QB, its not ideal to be having cap issues while needing to completely overhaul the roster.... on both sides of the ball. Are these worries warranted? Yeah i'd say they are. But how much should we worry is the question. I'd say we shouldn't really worry too much until Training Camp is closer. By then we should see the roster we're going with & know where we stand... imho
  3. feels like we've done this backwards. Year 6-7 of Josh Allen, you'd like to be making a trade for a #1 wr to win now. Wish we could turn back the clock & simply draft Justin Jefferson, who everyone had mocked to us. This almost feels like thats what Beane is doing here, trying to go back to draft his Justin Jefferson. Just remains to be seen if the guy we draft can live up to that. Bold bold move by Beane.
  4. its Draftkings Sportsbook, even quoted in the article the OP posted. DK users in NY & im guessing NJ as well, dont have the same access to what others in the nation do.
  5. i want Brian Thomas, if only because we share the same name, but he's a pretty good player at a position of need for us too. Get er dun Beane
  6. ha good eye! Yeah whoever posted it on twitter must've reused it from last year. So this must've been 1 of those xmas wish-list type trade ideas at the time. After the way Stef's play fell off & given his salary, idk if an offer would even look that good now, but who knows. The chances of it happening are slim to none anyways. So other than Stef handling his business on his own & regaining that form, i dont know what around him can change for the better to help. You'd like to say a new OC, but his play fell off a cliff after Brady took over. And from all the All-22 film i saw, the route concepts & even Stef himself were the main problems, of course im no expert. So i guess we're just living on a prayer & hoping for the best next year?, really nothing else we can do. We can scheme ways to get him open & all that, but will we? After Brady took over, I havent seen 1 example of us doing that so far, with really anyone, but doesnt mean we havent or cant. Just remains to be seen if we will i suppose. Not a great situation at all but with Josh Allen, anything is possible. Just wish it wasnt all on him. GO BILLS
  7. saw this on twitter this morning & almost had a heart attack. Was curious how'd you all feel if this did happen i dont hate the idea personally & the trade partner surely makes sense given the history. Ideally i'd like things to work with Diggs here. But a trade like this would be bold & likely one of the only ways we can get out of the contract, without really hurting ourselves in the process
  8. 1 last point, the music in both our arenas is trash. Case in point: that song Cotton Eyed Joe was never that great a song. Released in 1994 it peaked at #25 on the charts. YET WE STILL PLAY IT EVERY GAME it seems. Hopefully with a new arena it'll bring a fresh gameday experience, bcuz everything else is outdated. I just always think to myself: can't we do better? Yes I believe we can.
  9. i absolutely hate the 7 Nation Army chant. They use it at european soccer games for crying out loud. If thats not reason in itself to stop doing it, idk what is. But my game day experience is full of cringe. That ghastly train whistle is so darn annoying. Give me the sound of a stampeding herd of Bison. Give me anything but the stupid whistle. Between the 7 Nation Army chant & the whistle, it 100% ruins my gameday experience. I cant scream loud enough to drown them out lol. Fwiw: i'm also on Discord servers & reddit & talk about the BILLS to 100's of people around the country. Unscientific total: 90% of everyone i speak to hates the whistle & chant too. Its gotten to the point where its almost embarrassing. But at the end of the day, what matters is my BILLS, our BILLS, so i put up with it. But it'd be great to be prouder of these gameday traditions
  10. "Ignited the offense", no he made it simpler. Which is good & bad at the same time. But if you watch any of the All 22 breakdowns, you won't see any scheming of players open taking place. You'll see missed details in route running all over the field, plays that seem amateur at best. College or highschool route concepts come to mind. And that may be fine in the middle of a season after you fire your OC, but when you have an opportunity to bring in an established or experienced or above average OC, shouldn't you take it? When you have a top 3 QB on your team? In year 6-7 of your SB run? After making a poor hire previously that you had to fire midseason? Im sorry but this is the worst hire we could've made imho. Its like a punt & a very uninspired choice to followup Dorsey. God are we really gonna waste the talent of Josh Allen? Only thing i can really hope for is that he grows into the role & simply gets better. Smh with this one
  11. I thank the Gods we have Josh Allen I really do, but i cant describe this as a 'thing of beauty' when you consider how we previously traded the Patrick Mahomes pick to KC, i just cant. Not with who Mahomes has turned out to be & with how desperate we were for a QB in 2017, & not with where our 2 franchises are now. Josh Allen sure we drafted him so thats all that counts, but we very easily couldve gotten this pick wrong as well & missed out on both & where would we be today? In all honesty, im surprised we did pick Josh & that its turned out as well as it has. Its not too often things go better than expected around here. But as far as BILLS seasons go, you could argue everything else is par for the course, with the 1 anomaly being how great Josh Allen is. He on his own makes everyone look like geniuses for picking him & he makes the coaches & players around him better too. But at some point & many of us fans are there right now, thats not enough. Maybe i'm being too hard on the GM & team but theres that saying how a broken clock is right twice a day. We got the clock right the one time with Josh, but 6-7 years later, the rest of the clock is still broken it seems, as we still haven't figured out what makes it even tick. And we're all just hoping now that Beane has figured it all out & will make the right moves. Every one of us will have a different level of faith in this staff's ability to do that now. For me, my faith is shaken to its final threads, given the past few years of self inflicted personnel mistakes. But when you have a Josh Allen, anything is possible i suppose. In Beane we hope...
  12. If we go with Brady next year, it'll be tragic. As it likely means we waste another prime year of Josh. If you have one of the top 3 QB's on the planet, doesn't it make sense to pair him with an above average coordinator who can best make use of the talent Josh is? Statistically Brady is Ken Dorsey, perhaps a little less of one. And Ken Dorsey should've never been the OC either. Lets stop fracking around & get Josh & our offense the players & coordinator it needs. Or is there something else, some other reason why we dont? Is it a matter of control & power within the coaching hierarchy? At some point you start to wonder why we don't hire a real OC
  13. i knew Taylor Swift would leave Buffalo with a smile on her face, I just didn't think it'd be because we lost. Bass you gotta go, sorry but we pay you to make those kicks. Diggs, you needed to catch that deep pass. So many missed opportunities, this loss is tough. But if you look at where this team was weeks ago, I didn't even think we'd make it into the playoffs. This team can win it all. Maybe next year haha
  14. "There's no team that asks more of their QB than the Ravens do of Lamar Jackson..." What do the Ravens ask of Lamar that we don't expect out of Josh? Only thing i can think of is maybe they asked Lamar to score 15 less TD's than Josh? Really the only difference on the field
  15. My gut is telling me that late night Mighty Taco i ate was a bad idea. For the big game tho? Its hard to pick against the BILLS at home in January vs our rival KC. This has been a goal of ours since those 13 seconds. We have KC at home, now its time to take advantage of it. This team has surprised me & even impressed me with how resilient they have been thruout these past couple years. Now they can put all the bs aside & just focus on 1 thing, winning the next game. I think they do, but its important we get out to a fast start. We cant revert back to a few weeks ago where our offense doesn't get started til the 2nd qtr. Thats not gonna fly vs KC. Sitting on the sidelines at Highmark in the cold, looking up at the scoreboard to see you're losing, while Josh & the BILLS offense maintains drives & keeps you off the field, it has to suck. That's what i hope to see vs KC
  16. main thing im concerned about now is how this all effects my Draftkings contests
  17. if we get the storm expected, i dont see how we play Monday either. As we all know, its not like the day after a snowstorm is guaranteed to be better than the day it occurs. The roads will still be snow covered, stadium full of snow, Gonna be tough for everyone to reach the place after the expected comes. I dont disagree with their decision necessarily, if anything they likely shouldve moved the game UP to today yesterday, knowing this was a possibility Oh well, GO BILLS
  18. our offense will have to go with what works. We can run the ball or throw it of course. The Steelers D isn't as dominant as it used to be. As long as we execute, we should be able to move the ball at will. If we lose this game, it'll be more that we beat ourselves than lost to the Steelers imho.
  19. This is the rub for me. BILLS play in a winter weather area but didn't construct a team to play in or benefit from those conditions. Steelers are. Browns are. For us? It negates a lot of what makes us tick, our speed. It definitely favors the Steelers more than it favors us. Our defense, light on LB's is not a run stopping force. This game they will be tested & will have to match the physicality the Steelers will bring. On paper we should beat them soundly but this game does worry me for sure. But i didnt even expect us to be in the playoffs so its all gravy for me.
  20. idk how you guys feel about it but i hope we still look for another OC in the offseason. The team has sure responded great after Brady took over, but i haven't really seen anything that would sell me on him to be the guy going forward. He probably wouldn't want to go back down to be an assistant after his stint as "the guy" but this team can compete for a title any year. Give me the best OC to make that happen. Please at least look at who's available in the offseason. I hope we do our due diligence & evaluate all our options.
  21. if Sherfield were capable of being better than Gabe Davis, we would've seen some sign of this. We haven't so its a NO
  22. I was at peace with this season after that Denver game. I didn't think we were a playoff team at that point but then we went on a run. If we get in, it'll be great & they will have earned it. Today our season stands on a knife's edge, our backs against the wall. This team can decide who it wants to be with a win or a loss today. I just hope we execute to the best of our ability, controlling the things we can.. Its one thing battling the other team or the refs, but when you create negative plays for yourself, or you turn the ball over, its just not the way I want to go out.
  23. i have no idea what the reason is. I often say the simplest reason is likely it. Looking at his stats its pretty clear something around November 13th changed. I know Ken Dorsey was fired a day later. Coincidence? Probably not. Thanks for sharing this
  24. IF Tre comes back i wouldn't expect him to move back right into the starting role right away. The team will likely work him back into the rotation slowly, like they did this past season. With the 3 of these guys, Sul, Benford & Tre, there's no need or reason to move any of them to any other position. You simply plug & play based on who is available or deserving of the time. If all are fully healthy & competing for the same time, then perhaps u can make a move. But its just absurd to talk about now imho, moving Tre to safety. Its just not gonna happen & theres no need for it. Seems wiser to just get a safety to replace whoever is leaving.
  25. up until a couple months ago, Kincaid's average air yards per target were 3.3 yards, amongst the lowest in the league. I got downvoted the most of any post ive ever written for stating that fact. Maybe people thought i was speaking down on him. But its all about how we're using him thats the issue. Throws 3 yards down the field should be high percentage completions. The reasons why should be obvious. Having these plays in our offense are good to have, it gets Josh in a rhythm, 3 yards becomes 5 & 6 etc. But the numbers show Kincaid needs to get the ball more & deeper down the field. As an aside: to me this issue is similar imho to how we were using Cook. The numbers showed he needed more touches & when he did he proved why with good results. Kincaid did the same thing when he broke out with production we havent seen here maybe ever. Perhaps the injury had the greatest affect on him, but now that he's healthy the air yards need to be more around 10 yards than 3. If even only just to open up more of the underneath stuff.
